Try an alternative – You guys should try another alternative in Sugar Land.

A new sports bar called Churchills its a great place, live music, great food and the service is the best, and not they have 2200 sq ft of patio and deck its awesome.

All ages go here, and have fun prices are comparible with other places.

Management and/or the owners are always on hand to listen to suggestions.

They have 20 plasma tv !!!! to watch NFL and college games

Smoke filled. Loud coverband. Lame suburban crowd. – I guess this must be Sugar Land's answer to Mid-town. They've prettied up a patch of land where cattle used to roam, added some shops and condos, and think they're a classy joint. It's only lipstick on a pig because the crowd is the typical suburban types you see at the local billy bob's deep in the heart of Katy or Missouri City. Absolutely no difference. Sure, they may dress a little nicer when they go out to the big town(Sugar Land is considered the big town to the Missouri City, Richmond, TX, and Rosenberg), but the inner trailer is still parked deep inside their heart.

Where do I start? The first thing you notice when you go in is a big puff of smoke that hits you in the face as soon as you open the door. Houston and pretty much the entire country has banned smoking inside, but not in Sugar Land! I've come here a few times because I've met up with people and every time I've gone, I've seen the exact same people there - usually the same 20 somethings still living at home with their parents or if they're the sucessful type maybe bought a 100k tract home that they think is a mansion. Come on guys, get out of the suburbs every now and then! I know you might run into someone who looks differently than you or maybe a place that plays music other than "sweet home alabama" but there is more to the world than Sugar Land!

So anyway I guess I should thank this establishment for keeping the suburban trash out of Houston, but I'm forced to come down to wasteland to meet up with some SL people I know so I have to be honest in my review. This place stinks - literally. The cover bands they have also stink. This is just a place that HS dropouts go and before they realize it, they're 40 years old.

If you want terrible service this is your place! – This bar from the outside looking in is a great place. The door guys are always so nice. And that's where the good things end. If you sit at a table the waitress will eventually find you, then it will take forever to get your drinks. If you sit at the bar you have to be a guy and someone that is well known at the bar to get any kind of service unless you get in their face. I have been twice this month both on sunday's thinking that the service would be better the second go around, boy was I wrong. Sunday is supposed to be happy hour prices all night, wrong! Bottom line the service is TERRIBLE and my friends and I will not be back.

For those that don't know what a real pub is – Not too bad of a scene, but there is a cover "band" that has some hits and some misses. This definitely isn't a pub, c'mon guys, you'll find much better AUTHENTIC pubs elsewhere. This is a bar stuck with irish/english paraphernalia on the walls. The prices aren't too bad, way too crowded, with more of an older crowd feel. If you're looking for a place for a 15 min pre hangout, this is the place. Otherwise, couldn't stand staying more than 30 min before i got bored with the crowd and music.

80's cover band lures cougars and divorcees out of hiding – If you like oppressively loud 80's music and presenting yourself for cougars and divorcees who don't realize they've let themselves go, this is the place for you. If you like watching dancing that's as bad as it is hilarious (done by people who are strangely comfortable with their physically appearance), this is the place for you. Seating can be difficult, unless you're game to strike up a conversation with a self-absorbed, well-off professional who is out of touch with pop-culture. Don't eat the food, bring ear plugs, and prepare to get drunk enough to erase the memory of being there. And yes, it's always like this.

Horrrrrrrrrible service, less than favorable crowd – I have been to this bar many, many times. Too many in fact. I don't know why I keep giving it chance after chance. Maybe because it's so close to where I live, and maybe because there aren't a lot of options in the Sugar Land area. It's a nice bar in a lovely location with very clean bathrooms, but the majority of the time, the people who go there are totally trashy, especially on Tuesday karaoke nights. I don't know where they're coming from. They can't be the convention attendees who stay at the Marriot at times because they're at least a decent crowd. Save for major holidays like Thanksgiving when all the college grads come home from to visit their parents, the majority of patrons don't seem to be made up of locals and for happy hour, they're much older (40s?). I've had several different bartenders and servers that were utterly disappointing. Not only were they slow and unattentive, but they are quite rude and have bad attitudes that make you wonder if they think you're lucky to be served at all. I'm ashamed to bring people from out of town here now. Positives for me: proximity to my residence, safe/well-lit/quiet location, clean bathrooms, ample parking and lack of crime/fights (SLPD does a good job as does security).

Another great pub – I usually use this BSP as a carpool meeting place before heading into Houston but sometimes I meet some cool people and stay all night. It's a somewhat older crowd so don't be surprised to find your pops sitting at the bar. I like Irish pubs because they only play songs that I know all the words to. That way I can get drunk and sing along.

Editorial Review – British pub import near First Colony Mall draws an easygoing crowd for live music, happy hours and traditional pub fare.
