Inconsistent – The first two times we ate here everything was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient; the food was tasty and flavorful...

Tonight however the service was horrible. We ordered drinks that never came (the appetizers arrived before someone came over to tell us that they couldn't make our drinks). My boyfriend and I both work in the restaurant industry so we understand having an off night to a certain extent. But when our entrees didn't arrive (and the other server came over to question where our food was) we figured the waitress forgot to fire them. I think it was her first night because she clearly didn't know what she was doing. When the food finally arrived (after two separate people came over to ask us what we ordered) it was really bland. I had a gnocchi dish that I had eaten before and it didn't taste the same. My boyfriend's ravioli while a lot better than my entree was still pretty mediocre.

I'd like to think it was just an off night so there is a very slight chance I may return. Of course with so many amazing restaurants in the neighborhood, I may not.

Good Appetizers – Perfectly fried and lightly battered calamari, the asparagus wrapped in pruscuitto was also very good, however, I felt the main entree "lamb ragu" was mediocre.. I must agree, the food at Acqua Santos is pretty good..

bad food, bad service – I don't know why everyone else seemed to like this place - the food is absolutely horrible. No flavor, over- or under-cooked, and teeny portions compared to most comparable restaurants. The only plus of this place is the garden out back. The service is horrendous - I had a drink spilled on me twice on 2 separate occasions. Apparently they are famous for their ragus, but I don't know why. It's like italian food that's never even heard of spices.

If you want good italian food in williamsburg, go to a restaurant that's been here for longer, like Acqua Santa. Avoid Baci & Abracci at all costs - it's not worth your money.

The first real Italian restaurant in williamsburg – There is not another pizza like at baci&abbracci in NYC. This is authentic and innovative Italian food.

They make Their own Mozzarella, Bread, Fresh pastas and desserts. give them same land and soon they will make even wine. It seems that they dedicate a lot of time in the kitchen. Too bad that not too many people realized it.

amazing food and great service – Everything I've had at this restaurant has been absolutely amazing. Great appetizers, great pasta, great wine, and great desserts. The best thing I think I've had is the pizza with cherry tomatoes, bufala mozarella, and arugula. It melts in your mouth. It makes a great appetizer to share with a group or to eat as an entree. The cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe is fantastic.

Overall, the food is terrific, reasonably priced, and the service was exceptional. Also, the atmosphere was not pretentious at all.

Discover this place in Wburg – Been to this place a few times. Absolutely love it. Food is fresh and it looks like someone is putting a lot of dedication to the dishes. It is consistently good. Tried brucnh once and it is also good.

Found this Hidden Gem for Brunch, and Went Back for an Excellent Dinner – My wife and I passed by Baci & Abbracci as we were going to visit friends in Williamsburg and stopped in for brunch. The modern decor is elegant and striking, yet right away the friendly service made us feel at home. My wife had the French toast served with strawberries and melon, and I had to steal some bites. She loved the toasted rice cereal on the outside of it... perfect way to start the weekend. I couldn't decide between an open faced omelet or the "breakfast" margherita pizza with mozzarella egg and pancetta. When I saw the marvelous large woodfire brick oven at the end of the dining area, I was sold. I was not disappoined as the pizza was excellent. We can't wait to go back in the spring when their garden patio dining is open for brunch as well.

We were so impressed that we went back there for dinner, with our friends, to try their dinner menu. Same friendly service as before. We tried it all - appetizers, server recommended wine, pasta, secondi, and dessert. Everyone loved the authentic Italian cuisine. I'm actually a steak lover, and they definitely did that right as well. Prepared rare to perfection. Truly one of the best meals I've had in a long while. We will be back at 'The Bac' again real soon

Stark white walls and high-end Italian food set the scene at this hipster hangout in Billyburg. – The Scene
With a big porthole cut out of the front door and mod, pendant light fixtures inside, this eatery stakes its claim among the neighborhood's chic dining spots. Attentive Italian-speaking waiters dressed in de rigeur black take your order, and a tall brick oven rises from the back. Flickering candles ensure that everyone looks their best.

The Food
Refined Italian fare composes the menu: A mixed, grilled seafood appetizer is perfectly cooked; squash soup takes an interesting turn with the addition of shrimp; and trout comes flakey and generously portioned. Cooked in the brick oven, the namesake Baci & Abbracci (kisses and hugs) pizza is a chewy, smoky blend of pancetta, caramelized onions and smoked mozzarella. Skip the beet gnocchi, which are a beautiful burgundy color, but leaden. Dessert, however, doesn't disappoint: The torta della nonna with custard, chocolate and pistachios strikes the perfect balance of light and crunchy.

I LOVE the truffle oil pizza – I've had just about everything on the menu, and everything's really tasty and creative, but by far, my favorite is the truffle oil pizza. SO tasty and light, it's perfect with a glass of wine. Service is impeccable, the backyard patio is large and welcoming, my boyfriend and I keep coming back and introducing friends to the place.

Haven't even had the pizza...the food is so amazing! – So, I had been walking by this place which is 3 blocks from my apartment thinking it was just another flashy "New Billyburg joint" going to let me down. Well, I was wrong. I was set on pizza for one till I heard the specials. I decided on the cured duck breast with arulula salad and the pumpkin gnocci with tellegio cheese sauce. I manage a Manhattan restaurant and this was the best meal I had in months. Also, I was reading other reviews and anyone who says this place is over priced knows nothing about dining out and the cost of food...it was a steal. A delightful appetizer, an amazing(give me more) entree, a big glass of Malbec and a Fonsecca 20yr port for dessert (plus complimentary biscotti) for a cool $44! Sweet! Not everyone in Williamsburg is broke...I'll be back every week.

One thing this place has what 90% of Williamsburg places miss on is SERVICE! From the greeting to the waiter to the chef to the best busboys(yes, they matter too)...what a staff. This is where I want to spend my money and know it was spent well.

Great music, great lighting(ladies will always be pretty here) and service that is super on point...almost 20 years in the biz and trust me...whether you bring a client, a friend or a first date...you will not be embarrased or sorry.

And yes, they deliver! Enjoy!
