Vaguely resembling a giant concrete Foursquare game, this Hilton is an excellent home base for city explorations--it's just a short walk from Chinatown, North Beach, downtown & the Embarcadero. Rooms are good-sized and have big windows with exceptional views (request a high floor and you'll feel like you're in the clouds). There's also a snazzy on-site spa, Tru.

Great service, location & clean!!! – I was visiting San Fran for the first time and the Hilton on Kearny was in the perfect shopping and dining area!!! The best part was that it was so clean! :)

Perfect Combination of Food and Service – My husband and I went twice for dinner, and both times were exceptional. The service was attentive without being obnoxious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was exceptional. The roast chicken melted off the bones and the steak was perfect. Highly recommend for special occassions and romantic evenings.

We had 2 bites and then left – Pretty much everything is wrong with this restaurant. They feature panini sandwiches (at lunch) which you can get many places downtown. The food is poor. I had a cheeseburger which I ordered medium rare and received well done. My companion ordered a tuna melt and was given a runny, cold tuna sandwich with no cheese at all. The quality of every ingredient was bad. The service was poor. The server had only one table, us, and yet it took him 5 minutes, and a show of surly attitude, to bring me ketchup and mustard for my burger. When my companion asked for a beer the waiter kept walking, either not caring to look at us or pretending not to hear us. I had two bites of my burger; my companion had three bites of his "tuna melt" and we both had more than enough waiter attitude and decided to leave.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Food – My husband and I just spent a long weekend at the new Hilton Financial District. We had a room on the 25th floor with a great view of the bay, nothing like it in San Francisco. Everything was new and clean. We found the staff very heplful and pleasant. With the weather being cold and wet we stayed in and dined at there restaurant, seven-fifty. The diner was wonderful. I had the seared salmon with the best cous cous and my husband had a boneless roasted chicken with polenta, both devine. Service was good also. The next day we had breakfast in room, very prompt and warm. We shared a dungeness crab omelet and pecan raisan french toast. Both were enjoyed. Anyone going the the bay area should stay at the new Hilton.

Not Just Another Hotel Restaurant – Wow, I took my husband to SevenFifty for dinner to celebrate our 20th anneversary and wanted to see the new Hilton. Our table had a beautiful view of city skyline and the ambiance was perfect. We started off with Tigar Prawns and Scallops Mornay which were cooked to perfection. The chopped salad we ordered was prepared tableside and tasted delicious. I order the Halibut, which came which pureed purple potatoes in a yummie fennel cream sauce. My husband ordered Steak Vesuvio and he cleaned his plate including the intriguing vesuvio garlic sauce. We split a chocolate tortofu for desert and they poured us French Press Coffee. Service was fantastic. We then retired to the lounge where we had after dinner drinks and sat by the fire. This is definately a restaurant to put on your list. We will be back, this one is a keeper.

Amazing hotel, PERFECT location! – I visited San Francisco this past weekend and stayed in the Hilton San Francisco Financial District - It definitely surpassed my expectations. It was just completely renovated and reopened, all the rooms are completely new, clean and modern feeling. Every room has a gorgeous city view, wireless internet, comfy bed and nice bathroom. The food in the restaurant was excellent as well. Great service by all the bellmen, and the location couldn't have been better - we walked to Chinatown, North Beach and Union Square during our visit. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and plan on staying there again.

Not enough bang for your buck – The food is simple, and over priced. how do you charge $11 for oatmeal? Also the food presentation lacks anything creative, everything is just thrown together. The ambienance is also very simple, nothing to extravagent. Also for being a "Mediterrianean restaurant" There isn't much that is actually "Mediterrianean". This restaurant reminds me of a badly overpriced Denny's.

Service Below Average - High Tech Feel – This hotel is in a good location, but too many things don't work! Most employees cannot speak english well and have a hard time understanding what you are saying. They are still under construction and should not have opened this hotel yet. The phone system has crossed wires, some extensions don't work, the pay per view didn't work, no executive floor, and small rooms. Perhaps in a few months this will be a good hotel and the staff will be trained. They still seem to not have things in order and cannot accomplish things individually, but rather as a group which takes too much time between language issues.

Top-tier Financial District hotel boasts special amenities for business travelers. – In Short
More than 500 guest rooms, seven suites, and 15,000 square feet of meeting space overlook views of the Transamerica Pyramid, cityscape and bay from this Hilton property. The hotel is situated at the crossroads of the Financial District, North Beach and Chinatown, which is nicely reflected in the lobby's Asian-inspired decor. Rooms feature online access, cordless phones and large workspaces. The hotel also features a 24-hour business center, multilingual services and full conference services staff.
