had an awesome time.. my brother came into the city to visit and he frequently goes to hookah bars back home and wanted to try going to one here. we actually spent awhile browsing through different hookah bar reviews online, trying to find one that seemed alright to check out. we ended up at hade bade, and we weren't disappointed. the manager was really friendly and we got fast service.. hookah prices were reasonable ($15, not bad), and there was a one drink minimum ($5). the atmosphere was pretty nice, although i can see how it would have been lame if it were crowded (we went on a tuesday night). i definitely suggest going on a weeknight.. all in all, had a great time, and i would definitely go back there again.

very chill spot. Showed up on a weekday night with a couple friends and found the spot to be pretty impressive for a hookah place in the east village. If you're looking for anything like karma, don't come here. It's chill, fairly small and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Had the bad day and marley flavored hookah, both were very good. The mint tea was pretty good too. No hard alcohol, just beer and wine. Overall, a very good experience for people who are trying to escape the craziness of the city.

Best place ever. I don't think amandas711 knows what she is talking about. I've been going to Hade Bade for over a year now. The owner is nice and friendly, the service has always been good, and they have the best Hookahs on the East side. The Hookahs have a lot of flavor and last over an hour. Cushions on the floor makes the atmosphere calm and relaxing, and that makes it different from any other Hookah Bar. I had a party there during the week with about 35 people and everybody had a great time. The owner even brought the belly dancer just for us. Everybody was dancing and we had a lot of fun.

The service is atrocious, the owner nasty, and I will never again go back. A group of my girlfriends from graduate school used to frequent this place every month or two. The owner knew us, since the place is not usually all that hopping. The service is slow, the drinks (especially the alcoholic ones) are dreadful - we really only went for the cheap hookahs, which are admittedly flavorful. About a month ago, the owner (also the waiter) never served us drinks nor did he complete taking our orders, even when we flagged him over three times. Eventually after hours of waiting for drinks that never came, we just asked for the check - which had a drink minimum charged to each of us, even though we never received the drinks (or were able to order them when we wanted to). When we contested the price, he threw bottles of water at us, saying that would equal what we paid for the drink minimum (I doubt a .5 liter bottle of poland springs should cost $7.) and shouting "Don't ever come back." And so we won't. And you shouldn't either.

A late-night hookah bar draws dates and weekend party overflow with belly dancing and flavored smokes.. In Short
About the size of a small Manhattan studio, this authentic Egyptian bar lines its crimson walls with hookahs and camel trinkets. Votives cast light on twosomes and groups on colorful blanket-covered benches. The 45 tobacco flavors--from cognac to cantaloupe to jasmine--can be paired with desserts, teas, Turkish coffee or unique treats like Sahlab, a nut-flavored milk drink. On weekends, a belly dancer draws crowds while a projection screen provides close-ups.
