Unforgetable experience – I was amazed to find this quality of restaurant in Denver. Z Cuisine has what I call authentic French food. I'm not talking about the fancy stuff from Paris, but great French home cooking with a twist. On my first visit I had the pork which was cooked to perfection.
The second time I had the cassoulet, which is to die for.
The chef came to our table to chat for a moment, and he was absolutely friendly and down to earth as can be. A rare treat
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for affordable real french cuisine!
Worth the Wait! – Whenever my boyfrined and I decide to go to Z Cuisine for dinner we don't expect to get seated right away, as the place is almost always packed with hungry people and a line out the door, but we do expect exceptional food and we are never disappointed with that. I have only eaten at Z Cuisine four times, but each time I have I've tried something different and I have never been disappointed. The pork chops, the mussels, the duck, the salads, and you can't forget to start the night with an amazing cheese plate appetizer. The food is always incredibly fresh. I recommend Z Cuisine to anyone. In fact, it is my first choice of where to take friends and relatives coming in from out of town. Absolutely charming!
Vive Z Cuisine – Bonjour ....let me tell you from a reel Parisian boy that Z Cuisine is better than what I had in Paris during my last trip abroad...Fantastic Ambiance....the food was incredible ...like I said better than back home...but the all experience ....you know everything was incredible...even I was felling down, I left so happy...Merci Z.
Bienvenue – I just moved into the neighborhood and found out about z cuisine through the internet. stepping in was like being back in paris on the left bank. the food was truly parisian bistro style, the wine was very french and great prices. the ambiance makes you forget you're in denver. the staff is great and overall it was a great experience. can't wait to go back.
A night in Paris – I loved the place; the chef is awesome and very friendly. I found the ambience wonderful. Even though it took an hour to get a table but it was totally worth the wait. What was totally cool what the night I dined there, the chef from Frasca, the owners from Sushi Den, the owners from Duo, and the chef from Opus. The food was awesome my pork was prefect, and the mussels were to die for. For dessert I had the citron crêpe which was a nice way to end my meal. I did notice during the night that Chef Patrick was making a bit of a scene with a rood women but it sounded like she called the food disgusting, and in my opinion you never call the food disgusting, you call pizza hut, or some chain restaurant like that. Would recommend it to anyone.
Fabulous! – Truly wonderful romantic. I'm raised in Europe and I asssure you that it is authentic in every way. Some of the best food I've had in Denver and I will be a regular and satisfied customer. Great wine list. The food is fresh! I almost didn't go because of the negative review but I'm so glad I went!
It's very small and no reservations but well worth the wait.
Wonderful French Bistro – z cuisine is great. fun, great food, and ambiance. the best cassuoulet i ever had.
French Fauxpas – My husband and I eat out at least 4 times a week and love Denver cuisine. We tried Z Cuisine and were very disappointed. It was horrible. The food read well on the chalkboard, but was not tasty when it came to the table. We ordered the mussels, the pork chop and the halibut. All were NOT good. If I were not embarrassed, I would have sent them back for a FULL refund. What a waist of MONEY! Instead, I payed for gross food. My recommendation is to not go! BLAH!
Cozy ambiance and authentic dishes at Highlands bistro transport diners from Denver to Paris – In Short
Warm yellow walls and a chalkboard announcing the menu du jour greet diners at the entrance. Pairs of 30-somethings chat at tables filled with Chef Patrick DuPays' savory creations. His evolving menu features items such as the prosciutto-wrapped wild shrimp in a tartare-mayonnaise mixture and the tartine de chevre chaud, made of warm goat cheese on toast over fresh pesto and provencal tomatoes. And since it's also a creperie, don't forget to try the crepes.
