Far exceeded my expectations – Changos has changed their advertisement method. We had a guy last week come by on a bicycle and gave us a flyer while my wife and I were working outside. I called the number and talked to Carlos. He came out to give me a free estimate and I could immediately see he was well versed in tree trimming. I have massive oak trees on my property and it was essential that the work on them was to be high quality and professional. They came out this weekend and spent the entire day trimming the 8 trees in my yard. The did a knock out job and the trees look incredible. They cleaned everything after the trimming was complete. Carlos is very responsive and friendly. Give him a call!!!

Worst Service Ever – Chango's Tree service may do a so-so job actually cutting trees, but I will never use them or recommend them. They failed to call 24 hrs ahead to confirm they were going to be cutting our trees as they had promised. This was VERY important because we have two dogs, one elderly, one younger, but she had had surgery and we needed to be sure that both dogs would be inside and well out of the way before the tree cutting started. I was simply told that they would call 24 hrs before coming to cut since they did not know when they could do the work. I happened to come home early on a Wednesday afternoon (a week after I contracted with Chango's) to find their trucks parked in my driveway and blocking me from entering my own driveway. They had obviously been at work for around 30 mins to an hour, both of our gates were wide open and both dogs were nowhere to be found. After talking to several workers, I finally found the crew boss, who didn't seem to think it was a problem that my dogs were missing, and he insisted they had called for the required notice. He also wasn't interested in helping me locate my dogs in the 100+ temps (this was Summer '09). My elderly beagle appeared of his own accord while I was discussing his whereabouts with the crew boss. My little dog who had the surgery the day before was nowhere to be found. I got in my car and was lucky to find her hiding in the bushes a few blocks away. Once I retrieved both dogs, and put them in the house, I went into the yard to checkout the work that was being done. They had taken out some shrubs I didn't want them to take, and had failed to take out a small tree that was specifically part of the contracted work. I got work done, but was very unhappy with their failure to call 24hrs ahead to give us notice, as well as their parking in our driveway, and their bad attitude when confronted with their mistakes. The so-called "notice" they gave me was a message left on my home phone at 9:30AM the morning of the day they were going to do the work. When you leave at 7:30AM, calling at 9:30 equals NO NOTICE. Add to this that the Crew Boss gave me nothing but nasty attitude, no apologies at all for the gross negligence he exhibited in letting my dogs run loose. When I called Juan who is the salesman/manger (not sure of his exact title) I really didn't get much better from him. He was talking over me and insisting that they had done nothing wrong. After two conversations with Juan about his company's incompetence, he gave a very perfunctory "I'm sorry we upset you about your dogs." That was it! No offer of a discount, no sincere apology, nothing. I will NEVER use these guys again.

Job Well Done! – I bought my house because of the beautiful live oaks I have on my yard. I love these trees, and I am very particular to doing the appropriate things to keep them healthy (and also very particular as to who touches them)! I wanted them trimmed and got quotes from multiple vendors, but I didn't just let price be the deciding factor, I wanted to walk the yard with these individuals to see what they would do and listen to their advice. In the end, Carlos from Chango's was extremely knowledgeable, had great advice, and came in at an extremely competitive price, so I gave him the job. I have now used him twice for various things, and he has been great. The price is extremely fair and just as important, the quality of the work is excellent. After seeing their work, 3 of my neighbors have also used Chango's. I would highly recommend Chango's service to anyone.

Tree Butchers!!!!! – My neighbor hired them to "trim" my oak trees where they hung over into her yard and remove dead limbs. They cut one to the point of being a 10 foot tall log sticking out of the ground and the other not much taller with no limbs left. Plus, these so called professionals trimmed them at the totally WRONG time of the year. My lovely neighbor didn't tell me she was doing this so I found out after the fact. Plus, they threw a plastic baggie with a rock and their business card in my driveway. I'm sure they will take your money too.

Bad Neighbor – The new trend of advertising by dropping plastic bags full of rocks and business cards is lazy, ineffective and, ultimately, disrespectful to the clients this company would like to attract. Please call this company and politely request that they stop littering our neighborhoods to attract business.

This company Litters – Chango's Tree Services advertises by putting plastic bags containing business cards and pebbles in driveways near the road.

It is understood that soliciting is legal, but throwing or placing plastic on the ground is littering, even if it is done in the name of advertising.

What happens when people don't pick up the "junk mail" thrown in their driveway? (I have observed that most people don't pick them up)

These bags become litter and because they are made of plastic this is a significant problem.

My intention is to politely ask this company to stop this form of advertising because it is a form of littering,

Or have a relevant authority speak to the company about their advertising practices,

Or if no such law exists to prohibit this form of solicitation, can we answer the question: why isn't there one?

Two Thumbs Up – I got 3 bids on a tree removal. Chango's beat everyone else by far. I called on Thursday morning, Carlos came and gave me a quote that same afternoon, and they removed my tree first thing the next morning. They were fast, safety-conscious, and cleaned up the entire site remarkably well. I dealt primarily with Carlos and found him to be very professional, enthusiastic and personable. I'll hire these guys again, without question.

good work – These guys did a fine job trimming my trees. The came out to give me an estimate, were prompt, and reasonably priced. They got the work done promptly, and I had no complaints. I would recommend them.

dislike this business – They "advertise" by throwing a business card inside a bag of rocks in your driveway. Yuck!

Excellent Service?? – I have been forced to go this horrible company due to being in a rental and this is who my landlord wishes to use. The company was first contacted about 2 months ago and an employee did come out and look at the trees to be trimmed. I was assured he would call back. He never did till a week ago after my landlord recontacted the company. Again same employee looked at trees took notes and said he would call back to confirm when it would be done. Of course he did not. The following day his crew showed up at 5:00 pm with no idea what needed to be done and then informed me they couldnt do it that day but would return the next day I have heard nothing. I would not only tell people I know not to call them I would encourage them to tell people they know as well to not call them either. Horrible customer service! I'd give negative stars if I could UPDATE: They finally showed up this morning unannounced and thank god i was home since they had chased two of my dogs out of the yard. I would suggest extreme caution to anyone who would use this service
