Good for a Sunday Brunch – Went here on a Sunday and tried their chocolate chip pancakes, which were delicious. The staff were very nice, and it was such a great environment to chat and enjoy a nice meal. I would like to come back again someday and try their other menu items.
Relaxing and delicious – I have been visiting the Peach since it opened. Between my husband and I we have had everything on the menu and the food is excellent. You can tell that particular attention has been given to quality, never lacking in quantity, and everyone there is very friendly. The weekend specials are just that...special. And they will do their best to make a dish that may not be completely right for you...into something you will love. Things to remember are that it is a "Cafe" and has that casual atmosphere. Service may be slow for some people but this is also the same attitude they have when it comes to you taking your time to eat, visit and enjoy the beautiful day on the patio. If you are ever unsatisfied all you have to do is say something and they will take care of any problems you may have. The thing is if you don't tell them then they don't know. Also, take a walk inside and notice the size of the kitchen. It is not BIG. However, the food is wonderful so I will gladly wait for it. If you are in a hurry, then this may not be the place for you. But if quality is what you are looking for then you are in the right place.
Terrible service – I have been to this cafe numerous times and each time I wonder why I returned. The service is a joke. It took 40 minutes to get a salad during lunch time at the last visit. Be careful about your bill too...my friends and I were all overcharged for things we did not order.
Great Coffee, Good Food, Mediocre Service – POSTITIVES: Found this place on accident. Walked by on a rainy day and it looked very inviting. So far myself and my family have enjoyed the several egg dishes, the Maple Waffle, and Pancakes. We also LOVE the coffee. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very comforting and hip at the same time.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: However, sad to say we may or may not return. After 3 visits, the service continues to go downhill. The same waitress has helped us each time and our coffee and water cups have sat without refills longer each time we returned. Simple requests such as "strawberries on the side" or "can I get ketchup please" never get fulfilled:( I want to try it again because the food is good...but the feeling of bad service still hangs heavier in my stomach...
Wonderful breakfast – A must! Great breakfast, fun decor and a great local establishment. Not your typical scrambled eggs and bacon place. The pancakes are amazing, and so is much else. Service can be a bit slow, as they don't offer much seating, and if everyone arrives at the same time it does cause a delay. That's why the 9 rating. Be patient and enjoy the wonderful meal!
I spend a lot of time going around Los Angeles looking for the perfect breakfast and lunch restaurants. There are plenty of really great dinner places, but what gives me great pleasure is to find the perfect place for the perfect breakfast and perfect lunch.
The Peach Cafe has both. They have the best and most unique waffles and pancakes and eggs that I have ever had. Their Panini sandwiches, wraps, and salads are among the the most tasty and fresh that you could find anywhere. And their coffee is amazing!
The staff is great and the ambience is relaxed and inviting. It is a place that I now go back to time and time again. I cannot remember a better place to call "My favorite breakfast and lunch cafe".
VERY Highly Recommended!
Artsy and historic Monrovia cafe offers fresh, gourmet all-day breakfasts and lunch. – In Short
Lofty ceilings, beams and brick at this century-old building are offset by striking contemporary art and sleek beechwood tables, where Monrovia locals linger over bountiful breakfasts or lounge on the verdant front patio with a book and latte. The kitchen emphasizes fresh, artisinal products like Nueske bacon and Compartes chocolates, and puts a gourmet spin on daytime diner classics. Specialties include blueberry buttermilk pancakes, hickory maple Belgian waffles, and mixed greens with candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles and grapes.
