Beyond Rude – I arrived Sunday for dinner with 2 others. A seemingly good looking educated waitress/hostess tells us they have 5 minutes till open and to go to another establishment, etc...etc.....That if she let's us in ... she will have to let everyone else in, etc.... Not just an "I am sorry we are not open yet response", but an uncalled for serveral sentence tirade and hostile "talking down" to from someone in their twenties acting on behalf of the restuarant. If I were not with my partner's mother, I would have really faught back verbally at the insults, but did not want to make an already uncalled for situation worse on a Sunday evening. The resturant was empty, there was no line to get in. We asked only to sit down and that we would wait for the kitchen to open which was basically in 5 minutes. Not what you would expect from any restuarant worker, especially in Park Slope, in this economy.

Amazinggg.. – I definitely need to head back to this restaurant - the food is amazing and the night I went was busy - even for a Sunday night! I love good finds like this in the city and definitely need to take my friends there! We will be there.

Excellent Excellent Excellent – Little D was superb in every way. The food, the service, the drinks - everything was fabulous. We had the chicken liver pate, scallops with cauliflower puree and quail. For dessert we had the very good pear cake with bourbon cream and the out-of-this-world bread pudding. It was unlike anything we have ever tasted. Our server, Sean, was perfectly attentive without being overbearing and politely answered our many questions knowledgeably. We have enjoyed many excellent meals in the restaurants of Park Slope, but Little D Eatery surpasses them all! We cannot wait to eat there again.

LASIK

LASIK is a more complex procedure than PRK. It is performed for all degrees of nearsightedness. The surgeon uses a knife called a microkeratome to cut a flap of corneal tissue, removes the targeted tissue beneath it with the laser, and then replaces the flap. Jerry Katzman MD

"With LASIK, the skill of the surgeon is important because he'll be making an incision," says Stephen Crawford, O.D., an optometrist practicing in Virginia, "compared to the PRK method where the machine does more of the work." Crawford urges people to find qualified, experienced doctors to perform this surgery. "You'll want someone who's done a number of LASIK procedures since this is a surgeon-dependent operation," he said.

Jerry Katzman MD According to Ken Taylor, O.D., vice president of Arthur D. Little, Inc., a technology and management consultant firm in Cambridge, Mass., "Last year, across the country, 40 to 45 percent of refractive surgeries performed by physicians were LASIK, which equates to approximately 80,000 procedures." Doctors not participating in clinical trials may choose to use the approved laser to perform LASIK procedures at their discretion, says Morris Waxler, Ph.D., chief of FDA's diagnostic and surgical devices section. But most uses are considered "off label" and are not regulated by FDA. Jerry Katzman MD

Little Dishes, Big Dishes, They Are All Great! – A great Parkslope friendly restaurant with Mahattan flare dishes that are affordable and delicious. Visited multiple times and our experiences have been very positive much thanks to well proportioned dishes with a lot of flavors and attentive service staff. Brunch is also great, and weather permitting, try the backyard dining experience. This restaurant is a great find for those who enjoy wonderful food.

A wonderful place to eat – Little D is easily the best upscale American restaurant in South Park Slope. Been there a few times and it has always been delicious. The pork butt (yes, that's a dish) is fantastic, and comparable to the best BBQ in the deep south, where I used to live. Tender and delicious, and prepared perfectly. The whole fish is always very fresh and also beautifully prepared and seasoned. The desserts are delicious and the staff is always very, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Beautiful outdoor space. Indoor space is also very pleasant. Can't recommend enough. Very consistent and enjoyable. Go there! You won't regret it.

Excellent food and nice service – I've eaten here twice already, and I've been really impressed. I'm new to the Park Slope area, and although I've definitely had some good food, I find that this is one of the few places in which all the elements needed to enjoy a good meal are there, including congenial service. The warm beet and goat cheese salad is very nice, as well as the seared scallops, and spaetzel (something I'd never had before) is really tasty and different. It's clean, and yes, very quiet most of the time.

Great brunch – I've been here several times for brunch, and I've had a great experience every time. Their pancakes are to die for- and I usually don't like sweet breakfasts. But these come with the most amazing cinammon butter, mmm... It's also a bit off the beaten track for the typical Park-Slope-$500-stroller crowd, so it's still possible to have a pleasant meal here! I hope it stays that way- if you have a toddler, please leave this place as a sanctuary for the adults in the neighborhood. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

Favorite Park Slope Restaurant – We moved to the Park Slope neighborhood over a year and a half ago from Manhattan. Overall we've been disappointed by our exerpiences with the restuarants we've discovered or which have been recommended to us. Little Dishes is the real exception. The menu is creative and consistnent across the board. Everything we've ordered there has been excellent and we find that we are hesitant to try new things because we like certain dishes so much. The Hen Of the Woods salad stands out, and they do fantastic fish and pork dishes as well. The servers have no attitude and are completely sweet, which is a big plus. While it isn't the cheapest place in the neighborhood the price is more than fair for what you get. They also have superb drink selection, including a Japanese beer that is hard to find at most places and quite tasty.

yummy yummy yummy – little d is our favorite restaurant, hands down. we go whenever we have a chance...and i can't say enough good things about it! the waitstaff is professional and friendly, the wine list eclectic, and the food is wonderful...we've never had a bad meal there!

start with little dishes--the iceberg wedge is yummy, the cheese plate is always unique, and the mussels are perfectly cooked. in the big dish realm, the whole fish is always well-prepared, they've always got a great selection of unique meats: cornish hen, venison, etc.

in the summer, try to sit outside in their lovely back garden...it's charming and romantic...and in the winter, have the bread pudding!
