Where is Chef Paul? – Awfull. Just Awful. Cannot possibly be the Chef from Pano's and Paul's. Overpriced, crappy looking and just really not good at all. Wish it were better news.

Don't go. Way too many good choices in Atlanta. This is not one of them. We will not be back. Ever.

Awful food. Just go to McDonald's – I have two words for you. DISGUSTING & AWFUL. I have been to literally every decent single restaurant in Atlanta & know good, better & best, but let me tell you-Paul's is TERRIBLE. I ordered one of the specials, which was salmon with scallops, topped with risotto & asparagus. I couldn't even eat the salmon because it was so tough AND smelled disgusting; it was very, very fishy. I sent it back & they charged me for it & my replacement meal, which is tacky. Note: The replacement meal of scallops was fine, but still not a fan. They were very salty.

My boyfriend ordered the pork tenderloin with macaroni & cheese & collard. No lie, the entire meal looked (and tasted) like it came out of a Stouffer's box. I was horrified. We used our Scoutmob coupon, so we didn't have to pay full price, but believe me, that was the worst $41 we have ever spent. I will NEVER go back there even though they have a nice atmosphere. Ick. Pano, congrats for breaking away from Paul.

[I wrote this review on Citysearch too]. But people do not go here unless you want a meal that is similar to cafeteria food.

tasty food selection. – They offer a wide variety of food to choose from. I could not decide which one to pick for dinner since everything on the menu was tempting. The wait staff suggested some of their best sellers, and when I got my order, it was fantastic. The food they served was indeed mouth-watering. I actually took home a different entrée for my brother . I was totally pleased with the food and the service.

Great Sushi and Great service! – The sushi rocks and the lobster is fabulous. Come ready to enjoy some of the best sushi. Generous portions and a great wine list. Very relaxing scene. We went for our anniversary and met Paul himself. I was surprised to find such a quiet place with 5 star food and 5 star service.

Totally Unimpressive – Keep in mind that Chef Paul was there last night. So, good stuff? Free valet, cozy ambience, wine list decent and the service was adequate. Food? Well the starter, lobster bisque was decent. Tasted very lobstery. The mains? That's where we get into the unimpressive part. The lamb was awful. Yeah, it was tender I guess but it was plopped in the middle of some mashed potatoes and a few brussel sprouts. Totally without merit. My friend had pork loin that looked ok I guess but it was served with macaroni and cheese and some sort of green. We definitely have a real problem with presentation since both dishes in appearance looked like cafeteria food. Then we have a problem with taste since I didn't even bother to finish my entree. It was boring to say the least. Man, if this type of stuff is the definition of "notable chef" then we really need to redefine that term because I do better than this on a bad night. While the check came to around $90 before tip which included two glasses of wine, two soups and two entrees, I thought that was way too much based on the quality of the food. I have no reason to ever go back to this place!

Good Service, Nice Atmosphere, Above Average Food – It could have just been because I went on a Monday night, but then again any good restaurant would have consistent food. From other reviews it appeared as if Chef Paul Albrecht was going to make a comeback with this fairly new restaurant but the food was not what I expected from the German chef. He is usually a genius when it comes to crafting food but the food at Paul's was nothing to brag about. Besides for the food, the atmosphere is nice, free valet parking (should leave a tip) and there is a band.

Long Overdue! Excellent Addition To Upscale Neighborhood Dining! – I first met the wonderful Paul Albrecht, a few years back with my parents, at the legendary Pano & Paul's, and it's still one of the best. Paul has finally come into his own, with this upscale bistro in Peachtree Hills, with his sons. It's really great to have another fine dining choice, so close to home. And of course, it was his fried lobster tail's for me. Without a doubt, my all time favorite entree anywhere in the city. He has added a nice sushi bar also. And much to our surprise, Greg Koenig, is the wine steward, having met him at Woodfire Grill. Yes it's an older, moneyed crowd, but the younger hip crowd, is coming on board also. Want excellent food, and have the money for it, Paul's is the place, and you can eat at the bar!

Better than former namesake... – Loved: Tuna entree ($18), rainbow roll ($12), fried green tomatoes ($6). Other dishes ordered: Crabcakes and beef tataki both were good, but I did not love either. Notes: Wine ? off bottles on Sunday. Nice chefs touches like sushi roll and chocolate covered strawberries brought out in between courses by Chef Paul. Prefer atmosphere to Panos and Pauls and you can still get the signature tempura-battered lobster tail! Prices were not outrageous. My Bill: $37.32 my portion for a bunch of small plates/sushi and split entree, excluding the 1/2 off wine.

Peachtree Hills bistro offers polished fare attracting mostly affluent clientele. – The Scene
The two-story space is posh in a low-key way with marble tables, dramatic lighting, black wooden chairs, burnished walls and striking paintings and the kitchen is open to the dining room. The servers are rather reserved and attentiveness swings from annoying (too much hovering) to nonexistent (long absences). Timing of the courses also suffers. Largely attracts an older, moneyed crowd, but offers a sushi menu for the younger set.

The Food
For starters, the espresso-crusted carpaccio is lovely even without a hint of java, as is the open-faced chipotle mussels. Chef Paul Albrecht's long-standing entrees are here (Dover sole, fried lobster tail) but the best dishes are the lusty chicken saltimbocca encased with salty proscuitto served on a bed of pillowy spaetzle; the hearty sausage-stuffed pork chop; and the rich venison ravioli. The warm, tangy goat cheese cake is a gently sweet finish.

probably the best meal ever – We have been trying every restaurant in atlanta and I have to admit that Pauls has to be an excellent choice. We started out with the spicy tuna roll which was delicious followed by the crabcake (which is the best in town) and foie gras (amazing) then I had the surf and turf (the fried lobster is delicious) My date and I had the most amazing time there. Chef Paul even came out to talk to us. A most excellent time!
