Candy Cane Gelato rocks!!! And you can't beat the friendly and helpful staff!.
Sam makes the best Candy Cane Gelato! Other great flavors: Amaretto, Grand Marnier, Champagne, Peach, Pineapple, Chocolate Mint. The list goes on and on.....
The owner has done a great job in staffing the cafe. Everyone is friendly and helpful and really cares about the satisfaction of the customers.

What a fun place!. I took my family out for Shushi Sunday night and my kids wanted to go for Ice Cream so we decided to try the place next door. I'm so glad that we did, we had a great time trying all of the wonderful flavors. After we ordered we sat down and saw that they had board games and we played one as a family (I don't remember the last time my kids played anything other than play station). Next weekend we are going to go to Lamppost pizza and then to Cafe Gelato for some great ice cream.
Oh my God, I'm back in Florance!. I simply can't believe how good this Gelato tastes. I've tried most of the other Gelato places in town and this one is by far the best. The flavors are amazing and the texture is just the way I remember it from Florance. This is my new favorite place!!!!
Best ice cream in Texas (so naturally best in USA).
My wife and I had not tasted ice cream this good since visiting Florence, Italy...which has an ice cream vender on almost every business block...and sells the best ice cream in Italy.
We cannot resist stopping for a taste each time we are near the HEB on Louis Henna (TX 45.)
I do not how long they have been located there, but we discovered them a little over a month ago...and our grand-kids now ask to go there when they are here, also.

coffee house meets ice creem.
I discovered Cafe Gelato right after it opened and was happy to support a new local business. Monday is kids day so I can take my 2 girls without spending a fortune. It's become a nice little tradition for us. The ambience is much like a little coffee shop with the darker colors. It's never loud and obnoxious like so many other ice creem stores. The gentleman behind the counter is the same one I always see and he's gotten to know us.
He's constantly trying new flavors, including a bright pink cotton candy which was a favorite of my youngest for a month. This week's new flavor was dark chocolate. You may get stuck on one flavor and then he tries something new. But I promise that even with your favorite gone, he'll have something that you just can't resist.
His cakes are also amazing and far superior to the ice creem cakes you get at the store.
Sorry for writing ice creem - but apparently spelling it the right way marks it as an inappropriate word.
AMAZING!!. i really love cafe gelato!!!! i used to eat maggie moos all the time, and when i switched to gelato i actually lost weight! i recommend everyone who loves icecream, get this, cause it's amazing hands down. theres so many creative flavors and GET THIS: they all taste EXACTLY like their named!!!!
Gelato--healthier than ice cream!. I love how rich the gelato tastes, but it's a lot fewer calories and less fat than ice cream. So you can go back as often as you want, and there's always another flavor to try. And with free wifi, it's a great place to hang out between appointments or errands.
You gotta try this, once you're in you're hooked. Cafe Gelato is one of a kind not only in service, but quality as well. The gelato is the smoothest around and if you're looking for that special something try one of the gelato cakes customize them any way you want. Great value, great service, great gelato bottom line.
