“Enough machines to make it worth the trip to work out, relatively clean but on the smaller side, helpful staff except one girl who was rude to me but mysteriously hasn't been around for almost 3 weeks now.”

Don't join!!!. Worst customer service EVER!! They are so rude. I asked to speak to the manager and the Rep denied my request. The manager comes in only on wednesdays. What a joke! They really need to train the reps in the Corporate office.
LR Rocks.
I don't know what cst3e is talking about, I canceled my contract/membership with no problems when I moved to Florida. Also:
I really liked this gym, the classes were great, there was always an open treadmill and the babysitting services were a lifesaver.
You get what you pay for.
LR is super cheap ($20/month), so that's pretty great. I managed to lose weight, but it wasn't really thanks to any of the staff!
I found that the classes were too repetitive. You might as well have been doing an exercise DVD, because the routines didn't vary. I quickly got bored and moved on to private workouts on the machinery.
There are a lot of treadmills, and you can just hop on one with no wait IF you work out at non-peak hours. (I used to go at 9AM or around 2, 3 in the afternoon.) Lunchtime or after work, good luck!
For some reason, they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe most members only work in the area and visit at lunch/before going home? But as someone who lived in the area, it sucked not to be able to go to the gym on the weekend.
poor quality instructors.
I signed up for Lucille Roberts because of the price and location. I've been working out for 5 years and joined various of gyms. By far, Lucille Roberts is the one that has the least quality. You really get what you pay for. The instructors are extremely amateur. I have tried different instructors at Lucille Roberts and they don't seem to have enough experience and/or training to be a professional instructors. I wonder where they found these people?? Their steps and moves are random and hard to follow. Not to mention the dance classes, which are simply free dance, the instructors don't "teach" and they expect you to follow as if they're dancing at the club but not following the music. Worst of the worst.
The equipments are very limited. The staff I encountered so far are ok. not rude but not friendly either. I'll continue with my membership only because it's cheap and close to where I live.
Good gym, great price. Enough machines to make it worth the trip to work out, relatively clean but on the smaller side, helpful staff except one girl who was rude to me but mysteriously hasn't been around for almost 3 weeks now. The classes are on the crowded side but its usually not anything ridiculous. The bottom line is that Lucille Roberts is very affordable, and that's what got me going there. The facility itself is what keeps me going back.
Avoid Any Lucille Roberts. I can't speak for the gym itself, but the corporate office is terrible. The customer service reps are extremely rude and one of them just hung up the phone. Lucille Roberts makes it impossible to cancel a membership and they keep charging monthly dues well after requests to cancel the membership. Save yourself time, money and headaches. Look for a different gym. I can't speak for the gym itself, but the corporate office is terrible. The customer service reps are extremely rude and one of them just hung up the phone.
