great salads, with wine!! – i just got back from Greenz and just had the best dinner! i had the grilled southwestern shrimp salad and it was PERFECT! the shrimp were so tasty and the salad was so filling i had to get a to-go box. and get this, for the entire month of july you can get a $3 glass of wine and $3 appetizers from 5-7pm. i had a couple glasses of a great white wine and sat on the patio. it was a good experience on a monday night. all in all i would recommend this place to anyone.
A light and airy restaurant with gourmet salad items sits on the heart of trendy Addison Circle. – In Short
Skip into this casual restaurant and order a gourmet salad, wrap or cup of soup that will satisfy the herbivore or carnivore. For the nibbler, the apple walnut or tofu and veggie salad are refreshing options; add some chicken, steak, shrimp or tuna if you need something heartier. If the hunger overcomes--order the chipotle chicken salad or BBQ Texas Slaw salad with green and red cabbage, carrots and red onions and tendr slices of Pork. And customized salads are perfect for the picky eater.
Salad Artists of the Stoneware Canvas – If you like salads then Greenz is the place for you. They can turn a salad into a very filling main course. There are purely vegetarian recipies like their Apple Walnut salad in a champagne vinaigrette, accented with warm brie pastries that resemble toasted yellow rosebuds. If you like a little more meat to accent your super salad, opt for their Chicken Chipotle "Fresh greens, shredded chicken, tomatoes, jack cheese and toasted pecans. Mixed with zesty chipotle cream dressing and topped with crispy tortilla strips." That's good too, and it was so filling I had to have a take-home box despite the fact that I'm a 6'2" muscular giant. They can also take any salad and make it into a portable wrap for on the go. They also have some soups too. A good meal of a salad and a drink is about $11, not fast-food price and not overly expensive. The food is good, however the menu is a little short. Then again maybe this kind of place doesn't need a big menu, as the neighborhood is a boom during lunch hours.
The atmosphere is quite posh, as is everything in Addison Circle. The inside is a bit too dark and noisy for me, so I always make a point of sitting on the patio outside. You get a very nice view of the circle and the giant blue sculpture.
Check out their website ( http://www.greenzsalads.com ) for pictures of many menu items and to sign up for special offers. I just got a coupon for a $2 second entree! Hmm, now I have an idea for where to eat tonight.
