One Workout Per Week – Seriously. Once a week is all you can handle, but John Kelly designs these workouts for people of all fitness levels. Each exercise on their fitness equipment is designed to provide the most efficient workout so that you leave there in 30 minutes having done the best workout ever. Highly recommended. I think you get the first workout for free. May not be for everybody, but you owe it to yourself to check it out.

THE best place to workout – I wrote about 2 1/2 years ago about how pleased I was with Kelly Personal Training after losing 5 lbs ... well I just lost my 45th pound today and could not have done it without Kelly Personal Training ... especially my trainer Timothy! I am 49 years old, have Type I diabetes and other health issues but as the pounds have gone away so has a lot of medications --- I've gained muscle and feel better than I have in years. If you're looking for a place to workout with a trainer this is the only place in Austin to go!

Good for couples – I've been coming with my girl for over a year, and it's a great way for us to spend some time together getting fit. This is something we can stick with because it's fun, affordable, and doesn't take longer than 45 minutes for the both of us. Actually having an appointment with someone is a good motivation. Plus, we're usually the only ones in there. We all know about lines for machines and people who grunt loudly, stink or stare. KPT has none of that because it's just you and your trainer.

Effective Training -- Professional, Friendly Trainers – My first workout at Kelly Personal Training was in December -- three months ago. I am 46 years old and had reached a plateau in my training and weight loss. I was bicycling three times a week but not losing the 10 pounds I wanted to lose. I had read about the health and weight loss benefits of weight training and wanted to try it.

My husband and I both started working out with Jean at Kelly Personal Training. The first workout was very intense and I felt sore the next two days. But after that, my body was able to bounce back more quickly after the workouts, though I still get sore sometimes after a particularly intense session.

Jean has been very responsive to what I need. Some days I have the energy to go all out; some days I just don't have it in me. Jean is friendly and motivating. She has a good sense of humor. It can be a little scary to lift heavy weights and work your muscles to exhaustion. It's good to have a trainer who will push you but also be understanding.

The schedule -- one short workout per week -- is very easy to maintain. The results are pretty amazing. In addition to losing about 10 pounds, my body has become more muscular and toned. I don't feel that I have a dumpy middle-aged shape anymore. My waistline is much smaller now, and I wear size 10 slacks instead of size 14.

My husband did not continue with the training after a while, because it is not the kind of workout he enjoys. Of course, it is not for everyone, but you can try it out and see for yourself what it's like. I think this may be especially good for women.

Even a big baby like myself can do this! – If you are tight with your schedule and/or do not like the gym - this place is for you. I have been going for about 9 months now and I must say that not only is it effective but it fits around MY schedule. You only need to go once a week and this makes it economical. All of the trainers are very nice and they are there for you and there are no obligations or contracts (and with the first two workouts FREE, how can you say no?!?!?!?) I HATE HATE HATE working out but one 15 - 20 minute workout once a week has done more for me than seeing a gym personal trainer 2X a week - if you visit their website you will see that this type of personal training is quite different than what you are used to seeing. I was skeptical at first but I myself have felt a difference in my muscle increase (Thank you FELICIA!!!) and gives me more energy afterward.

The BEST fitness training – I am 46 years old and since I started Kelly a couple of months ago I have dropped over 5 pounds and at my last doctors appt my b/p was much improved. Very personal attention and great people ... Timothy is my trainer and he is great. It is an intense 30 mintes but well worth it!

If you are serious about yourself and your health, this is where to be. – This place is Awesome! And by now your going, 'yeah, right'. Listen, I first went there to see what they had to offer besides NO CONTRACTS. What they have to give you is a way to get fit in a hurry that keeps you focused on the exercises and not daydreaming or WAITING for (half broken) machines in a gym. You are Done! Fast! I was in at 6:30 this morning and finished (out of breath) by 6:55. What a wakeup! Your trainer has the equipment READY for YOU and COACHES you! There is no waiting or guessing. You are pushed to exhaustion at every station and what's most important, you see and feel the results as you progress. I've been going every week for about 4 or 5 months now and I'm hooked and certain that this is the only way to stay fit! The center is kept clean. The staff is very polite, helpful and professional. I've never had any trouble with the dogs either. See you next Thursday,Timothy. Nice work.

Gone to the Dogs. Dogs Welcome! – Gone to the Dogs

I went into train today. I saw three dogs running around the workout machines. There were about seven people too. One woman was playing ball with her dog. I thought, ok dogs in workout facility that?s a little strange, perhaps they are well trained and won?t bother me. I?ll ignore them and do my workout. Whatever!

As I walk up to the first machine, a dog ran into my shins and tripped me. I?m thinking, ok, the dog just tripped me. The way the workouts go here, there is a 3 to 6 second delay between each machine. The point of each exercise is to get close to total muscle failure. This means you are little wobbly between machines. At this point, I thought this is not reasonable. The dogs should not be permitted interfere with my workout. It?s imposing and unprofessional.

I voiced my concern by making a facetious comment: ?I have a dog. I should bring him next time.? The response was bring him. I replied, I really didn?t mean that, I?m complaining about the dogs in the facility and them causing me to trip. I think somebody could get hurt. Now that I?ve thought about it, I don?t agree with dogs running about the machines as I workout. The response as the ?dog are welcome.?

Cant get any better than a free test drive! – How many other personal trainers will let you test drive their services? None that I know but the ones at Kelly are so confident that you will be hooked; they'll let you come twice for free! I was hooked after the first 5 minutes.

I have been working out with them for just about 3 months, going once a week, for only 20 minutes. Let me restate that- ONCE A WEEK, 20 MINUTES ONLY. The workouts are so tailored to you specifically that you will see results faster than any other gym or trainer could hope to give you, no matter what your age or physical condition. The workouts are also designed to get you the most benefit in the least amount of time while keeping you injury free. Please go to their website and read the articles they have regarding the technique.

I have been so amazed with my personal achievements. I am a triathlete and have to fit in running, biking, swimming, and weights in to my schedule each week. Because of my trainer Timothy, I dont even have to think about my weight workout. I just see him once a week, he's right there with me the whole time pushing me, and in 20 minutes, I'm done. I have more time now to focus on my other sports. I use to go to Gold's Gym's hour long Body Pump class religiously 2xweek, then fit in another day of weights on top of that, and then struggle to get in my 3 sports. I've saw more results here after the first 3 sessions than I did after a year of Gold's-seriously. I enjoy every workout so much and I've never pushed myself so hard (thanks Timothy!).

I've also been training to do my first marathon next month. My running endurance has improved unbelievably since I've been going to KPT and I no longer have issues with my lower back on long run days. I am completely sure that I will have a wonderful first marathon experience now.
