Upscale neighborhood bistro provides Needhamites with a modern, welcoming dining destination..
Soft colors and local artwork lend Quince a stylish-yet-relaxed vibe, one that is matched by its pleasant waitstaff. Casually-dressed suburbanites fill the dining room to sample from an adventurous wine list that includes numerous half-bottles and flights. The menu features traditional European favorites with an abundance of local ingredients, typified by starters of homemade carrot ravioli or a five onion tart, or entrées like pan-seared halibut with basil mashed potatoes or an organic chicken breast with artichoke-Parmesan risotto.

Not the Best Atmosphere, but Amazing Pumpkin Sauce!.
I had the walnut tortellini and pumpkin sauce. While the tortellini was just ok, the sauce was absolutely amazing. I absolutely love pumpkin and this was one of the best dishes I've had. Unfortunately when I asked for the rest of my meal to be boxed to take home, they didn't include the excess sauce. =[
I won't be back, though. The ambiance tries too hard to be nice and high class. The waiter's were inexperienced for the level of restaurant they're trying to be.
Nice service, warm artsy atmosphere. Made same day reservations on Open Table. Greeted by a nice hostess. Started out with delicious bread with fresh olives in oil and tomato and basil butter. Ordered a bottle of a nice cab which I had never heard of but would definitely order again. The braised shortribs were highly recommended. They were incredibly tender but in my opinion fell short of flavorful. The best short ribs I've tasted were at Isabella's in Dedham. These didn't come close in flavor. Coffee and dessert was excellent. Possibly the best creme brulee I've had. I don't agree with the price category rating of $30 for average entree and a drink. Should be closer to $40-45.
great food in the suburbs. You don't need to go downtown for a great dining experience these days. We've been to Quince several times, and been really happy: delicious food, great wine, and very attentive service. Also, beautiful decor and a very comfortable dining area that is intimate but not too crowded. Not to mention the fact that chef Ian will build a dinner around your specific tastes or needs- you've go to try it!
