Excellent place to hang out in East Atlanta! – Great food, great prices, great service, great little hang out in East Atlanta! Need I say more? Actually, yes I wills ay more, just a few more. When i first moved into the area, I was very disappointed by the section of restaurants and quality of food till I found this little Mexican Restaurant. The bean and cheese dip was delicious, and guess what, BOTTOMLESS chips and salsa, $1 taco nights Monday and Tuesdays!! and HUGE margaritas, for those of you on a budget! =D GO CHECK IT OUT GUYS!!

This is a nice place to relax and drink beer with friends. Their chips and salsa are good, the chicken's not too bad, and you won't get rushed out of your seats by the wait staff.

Great Place and $1 Tacos – On Monday and Tuesday, Blue Frog has $1 tacos.

This is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the vibe. My friends and I go there every Tuesday without exception. We know pretty much everyone who works there and a lot of the other regulars too. The staff is always super nice and helpful.

Okay, so it's not gourmet Mexican, but it's cheap and it's good, and there's a bar.

Great Experience – Went here with a couple of friends and loved this place. The salsa and food was tasty and the staff was great. This is a great place to relax and enjoy food and drinks with a group. I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Lively Mexican cantina with a boisterous bar scene serves standbys like quesadillas, tacos and burritos. – In Short
In the suburbs of Atlanta expect every Mexican menu to be the same-it's all about combos, ground beef and refried beans. In-town Taquerias are more a la carte-style, usually with a healthy dose of fish tacos, tortas and Mexican street eats. Situated off Flat Shoals in the heart of East Atlanta, Blue Frog is a quasi-combination of the two. Way-too-big Tex-Mex combo platters sit alongside lobster tacos, giving OTP'ers and intown foodies reason to cheer. The food won't wow you, but the hole-in-the-wall vibe and simple menu warrant a return visit. It's a casual, playful spot to unwind, with darts and old-school games providing plenty of drunken amusement.

A COMMONLY-SEEN-BLACK-INSECT CRAWLED OUT OF HER RICE – I went to Blue Frog on a Thursday night to get some Mexican food and play trivia. We sat out on the patio (it was a beautiful night) and had a pitcher of margaritas. We ordered food and played trivia. When our food got there, it looked tasty and we dug in. As my friend was eating her rice, she yelped and covered her mouth. Not knowing what happened, the rest of us looked at her and then looked down at the table. A COMMONLY-SEEN-BLACK-INSECT (I apparently can't use the R-word on CitySearch) HAD CRAWLED OUT OF HER RICE. AN R-WORD. OUT OF HER RICE. If I had not been sitting there, I would not believe it. The waitress heard the commotion (we hammered it with napkin-wrapped silverware until it took its final breath) and came outside. She apologized quickly and went back inside. She came out a few minutes later and told us that they were sorry, that they had just sprayed the kitchen a few days before, and that they were going to take care of our whole table (um, yeah you will). We finished our drinks and trivia and called the waitress over because we still planned to leave her a small tip (we figured it wasn't her fault something gross had taken up residence in the rice). She said that we still had to pay $37 for our alcohol and brought us our check. Dumbfounded, we paid the bill and left.

Not only was it bad enough that AN R-WORD CRAWLED OUT OF HER FOOD, but I think it was pretty crappy for us to have to pay for anything. They could have forgiven the whole check. I have worked in enough restaurants to know that it's worth $37 for people not to tell everyone they know about this.

I will never eat here again. Ever. Ever.

Great Place!!! – I love this place. We happened to be there for a New Year celebration and it was great! Food was very good and service was great too. They were very busy that evening but yet our order arrived soon after we ordered it. Personnel were friendly so was an owner of the restaurant. Restaurant also looked clean, including the bathroom. I will defiantly recommend anybody give them a visit for a dinner, and I will come back there next time I am in that area.

Great East Atl hole in the wall – Most people don't know about The Blue Frog because they only hear about la Casita. Blue Frog is under new management and the food and service are great! The food is your basic mexican fare, but all the dishes and sauces are made from scratch. You can't beat the $1 taco night they have on Monday and Tuesdays. This has become my new local favorite place for a relaxing margarita after work. And no annoying latin music either!

great bar – I love this place. They have a new manager and the menu is even better now.

The cheese dip is a bit bland but if you add salt and jalapenos it's pretty yummy. I'm guessing they don't spice it up for all of the gringos.

I have spoken to a few of the owners and found out that everything from the dip to the desserts they make in-house. A nice change compared to the straight-out-of-a-can mexi joints in town.

I suggest you sit at the bar. My fav bartender works there, Angelica. If she isn't to swaped she can tell you a great story and serve up an excellent drink. She's good at making you forget about your "real world".

Love this place – I'm here at least once a week, I love the food, which is a mixture of Peruvian, Panamanian, and Mexican. The steak Pinchos are to die for and the ceviche is the best in the city. Great drinks and bar service too (Angelica!)
