Lisa Jones Pilates is a fully-equipped boutique studio specializing in private and duet pilates instruction. Located near Union Square in the historic St. Denis building, the studio provides a private and serene setting in which to enjoy pilates. All sessions are taught by Lisa on classical apparatus built according to Joseph Pilates' specifications. Lisa Jones Pilates prioritizes high-quality, results-driven workouts in an environment conducive to the mind-body experience.
Fabulous! – I have been seeing Lisa for almost 10 months and I can honestly say my experience has been fabulous. Lisa was my first step towards increasing my exercise routine in pursuit of improving my overall health and losing weight. I came to Lisa nervous, intimidated by the concept of Pilates and insecure. Lisa immediately made me feel comfortable, encouraged me and is such a fabulous teacher. She truly loves her job and it shows in everything she does. She is a perfect mix of tough love and genuine caring and support. My body has absolutely changed from pilates for the better and I find it therapeutic overall. I highly recommend Lisa...she is worth the investment!
Clarity, commitment and patience. – Lisa demystified Pilates for me, explaining the cause and effect of the exercises, the equipment and movements to a degree that really focused my efforts. I'm still new, and have much to learn, but Lisa's training is changing my body in ways the gym never achieved. Strength from your core is remarkably more than the sum of its parts. Her exceptional patience seems borne of her faith in what Pilates can really do for you, and I, for one, am converted.
you'll want to work out – lisa starts out each time asking how you're doing, how is your body. she tailors each session to the individual and to the way that person is feeling that day. the movements are as challenging as you want, and even after 10 years, remain interesting. i leave every class feeling aligned, awake and alive. lisa is calm, consistent and a lovely person. i look forward to seeing her. try it!

Great Pilates instructor! – Lisa is the first Pilates instructor I've had, but I can't imagine ever finding a better one. She was extremely patient with me, and helped me tremendously by guiding me through the exercises, using the limited time to show me the most useful moves, and helping me understand what I was supposed to be doing. I can't afford one-on-one classes on a regular basis, so I was hoping to learn techniques I could use in mat classes or videos at home. She was so helpful, especially with clear explanations about concepts that had eluded me in my previous attempts to do Pilates on my own. Highly recommended!
BEST pilates instructor! – I have been training with Lisa for my upcoming wedding and am in the best shape ever. I am an avid runner and was convinced that there was no other exercise to give me that "high" that was so addicting after a long run. Lisa gives me an incredible workout, which has completely strengthened and toned my entire body in ways that running could not. She is incredibly knowledgeable and tailors my sessions to my specific needs. I recommend her HIGHLY if you want a total body workout. She is an amazing teacher!
Stunningly great Pilates! – I found Lisa after a 15-year search for my ideal Pilates instructor. I knew she was the one after my first session with her. She is utterly remarkable. I have been working with her for a bit over a year now and I cannot believe the change in my body. I am so much stronger and I look great. I haven't felt this good about myself in years.
Lisa is astoundingly knowledgeable about bodies. She has helped me heal injuries, release locked muscles, and realign my body. She is as much a healer as she is a fitness coach. Best of all, she has a great sense of humor and has exactly the right mix of tough love and sympathetic understanding.
Best of all, it's fun!!! She makes every workout unique, so I never get bored or angry. I hate gyms and working out in general, but Lisa teaches Pilates in a way that totally delights me in a bright studio that lifts my mood and makes me want to work out.
I swear, there is no better Pilates instructor anywhere in this city than Lisa Jones.
Excellent instructor, zen-like space – I've been training with Lisa for almost 3 years and she has really helped me with my chronic back issues.
Lisa's new studio is a calming beautiful place in which to train with a stunning view of Grace Church and a convenient location just off Union Square. The equipment was handmade to her specifications and is streets ahead of the equipment I've used at other gyms.
I can't recommend Lisa highly enough especially now that she is in this lovely space. She is a serious professional who will work diligently to maximise your strength and mobility and is great fun as well!
Motivating, knowledgeable – Lisa is an amazing Pilates instructor. I first started private Pilates sessions about 5 years ago and have worked with several different instructors over that time. Lisa was my first instructor, and from now on will be the only instructor I will work with!!! What sets Lisa apart from the rest is her enthusiasm and knowledge of Pilates. She watches your every move to ensure you are getting the most from your workout and she delivers solid results.
