At last... they got it right!!!CANT WAIT TO GO BACK – i've dined at pier2110 3 times to date...and quite honestly, i didnt know what to think of it...My first time there, the restaurant itself looked great, while the service and food were at most, above average...also, the prices were a bit too high for my taste..i was somewhat satisfied...my second visit was a bit more enjoyable...the staff seemed more organized and the food tasted great...but still, the prices were too high...

i recently dined again @pier 2110..and i can finally say that...I LOVED IT..the service was remarkable...the staff showed professionalism and courtesy while still working tirelessly and diligently..the menu was new along with the Head Chef..francios doku?from Spagos or something...i heard he was world renown or something..i believe it...THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS...and best of all..the prices were affordable this time..CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!! =D

$15 for a martini? – Went last night to give it a try. Nice restaurant for Harlem, about average for all of Manhattan. Don't look for the 'signature dish' described in the editor's review. It was no where to be found. The same for the sushi. The sushi bar was closed - at 7p.m. on a Saturday night. If this is your claim to fame - where was it? The food was average at best. I had the special- mussels in a spicy red sauce. My date had the shrimp alfreado. They were certainly not the jumbo shrimps named on the menu. Medium at best. But the kicker was $15 for a green apple martini. Are you kidding me? We had 4 drinks that added $60- to the tab. Not worth the trip. I can get this anywhere.

very Average. nothing special – Sooo... The first time my boyfriend and i walked in there you would have thought we walked in there half-naked the way the hostess looked us up and down. It was right before dinner, and she informed us it would be a hour wait. so we decided to leave.

On another night, we went shopping (Mony's was having a 50% off EVERYTHING sale) So we worked up a appitite. When we walked in it was a diffrent person seating people, and he was really nice. Its a beautiful place, and the bathroom is like something out of a magazine!

Our waitress was nice, she was attentive, but not knowledgable. After looking over the menu and working up a appitie for sushi we were informed the sushi guy was off until the weekend! we put in our order for our entrees and she came back to the table not once, but TWICE to inform me they ran out of what i orderd! i settled for the red snapper with mashed potatoes (which were poorly seasoned). but i have to admit they were the BEST collard greens ive had in a very long time, better then most of the soul food restaurants in the area, and very close to home.

we finished off our meal with the fruit sorbet which was OK, but nothing special. I would recommend this place if your hungry and in the area...but be prepared to pay. its not cheap.

o and they say theyre open late but after 11pm the only part open is the bar and they only serve hourdorves.

Not bad but needs work!! – Ok..so i tried this place on Saturday for my best freinds birthday who was in town for the weekend from Georgia. When we walked in the place we were impressed by the decor. But then it was all downhill from there. The waiter was not very knowledgeable of the menu's items.I ask if the Ceaser salad came with anchovies and was told yes.I asked for extra!, when my salad finally arrived it was dry!No dressing,no cheese, and no anchovies! My best freinds Calmari was cold, and her Crab cakes were okay. The spicy tuna was way to spicy to even enjoy and the spider roll was ruined with some special sauce! All in all not a bad place to eat.But they do have some kinks to work out!

Don't Even Think About It!! – This restaurant should be embarrassed to be open. I'm surprised there were any good reviews after the opening. The decor is Miami chic, which is fine if that's your speed, but the overly loud and obnoxious music in the lounge area nearly keeps you from enjoying a decent dinner in the restaurant portion. The service is horrendous, past the coat check girl, as the thoroughly unattentive waiters don't know whats on the menu, they're uneducated as to what they do and don't have in stock on the wine list, and they don't know the difference between a pinot grigio and a chardonnay and ... ( the list goes on ) they also aren't savvy enough to even recite the year and the vintage. After a $200 meal that was served cold, wrong several times, and improperly cooked, I would encourage anyone with even moderate tastebuds to run. There are far finer establishments in Harlem and other parts of the city that will welcome your open wallet with more than a laundry list of excuses and forgotten utensils, not to mention the MANDATORY 18% gratuity for service ill delivered. I love Terrence Howard's picture on the door, but it was probably taken before they served him hell's platter.

Run, don't walk to Harlem's Pier 2110! – First of all let me tell you that I was born and raised in Harlem. Although I have mixed feelings about all the new redevelopment going on I am proud to see quality, professional, and competitive new businesses resurging all over the neighborhood. I don?t have to trek downtown as often when I want to go out and have a great time.Pier 2110 is a godsend. As soon as you walk in you will be dazzled by the decor and ambience. It's colorful, tasteful, and never over the top or for the sake of cheap thrills. The lighting, the furniture, and the layout are all masterfully designed. The lounge area oozes from the already chic eating area so that the transition is seamless. I chose this spot for a first date and I am grateful I did! The front desk staff was beyond cordial and helpful.I had the blackened catfish with garlic fries and jicama. Awesome! The portion was on the money. The presentation was top notch. My date had the shrimp alfredo and loved it. The only less-than-excellent part was the calamari but not because of the calamari itself. The calamari was perfectly textured and seasoned. However, they served it with tartar sauce. We ended up asking for marinara sauce.I personally would've preferred a more signature sauce on account of the calamari itself being so good. Our waiter, Muffin was(that's the name she game me?lol) had a great attitude and was attentive. She offered us some complimentary drinks.I suppose they were promoting Henessy based cocktails so I got a free Henessy Shanghai which was awesome. My date and I were both pretty much full so we didn't get to sample the desert menu so I have yet to review their deserts.By 7PM the place was packed.I was lucky enough to meet Mike Woods, the Weather Authority (lol) from the Fox Five morning news.He had been there hosting a tree lighting ceremony at the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr building across the street from Pier 2110. I had a delectable time and highly recommend it..

Sushi and New American-style seafood served up in a cavernous, candlelit setting in the center of Harlem. – In Short
The fruit of the ocean takes center stage in the decor and on the menu at this dynamic Harlem establishment. Sea-themed metallic tiles lines the ceilings and walls, highlighting the room's centerpiece: a curved sushi bar. Shellfish and fresh fish--including the restaurant's signature baked trout, made with crab and cornbread stuffing--dominate fancy dinner plates. Those seeking a more casual meal dine at the bar or eat in the lounge by the fire.

The Best Cesaer – We stumbled into Pier 2110, looking for a decent dinner in a neighborhood unfamiliar to us. As soon as we walked through the door we knew we had found the right place. Absolutely beautiful room, nice music and spotlesly clean. It turns out that the Ceaser salad is THE best I've had in NY. The Spicey Shrimp is indeed spicey and perfectly balanced by a pomegranite molasses. My wife had the Baked Trout. She loved the the smooth grits, the perfectly cooked broccoli and the tasty crab cornbread stuffing. The cocktails were very well made and well priced. This is the kind of place where you want to bring your best friends (or your BEST date). I think Midtown restaurants need to take some notes froms this place. No kids please.

It Was Cool – My first time here, celebrating my mother's birthday and I felt underdressed, the decor is beautiful and so welcoming. I ordered the ribs and they were delicious and I know my ribs and they were perfectly seasoned and the bbq sauce was great! The appetizers were also good especially the crab cakes... I'd go again but because it has such an upscale decor I wouldnt recommend it for little children.

The service was good although the waiter seemed a little jumpy but i understand he wanted to make sure everything was ok. Tonight was great and the live entertainment made the meal even better!!!

an excellent restaurant – I went the other night, weeknight, party of 8. I had the ribs, maybe the best I've ever had, my kids and my mother inlaw had the shrimp alfredo, they all loved it and my oldest son, 16, said it was by far the best he ever had. Three people had the catfish and they all liked it, but no one raved about it. The steamed clams appetizer was excellent, white wine, garlic, parsley, lemon. We also had the mussels for an appetizer and they were excellent also. Everything was quite fresh, excellent combination of spices, and served hot.

They decor is also "super chill". Air conditioning was perfect (for men) at about 70 degrees. R&B soundtrack playing. Bring a girl! Nice bar/lounge/crowd. Overall, an exceptionally good spot.
