Tastly choice in the pioneer square food places – All in all this is one of a only a very few places that I would consider around downtown for lunch. This place, specialities, "soup daddy gone", and .... maybe tats, EBC are good, although the latter mentioned are a bit light on portion to price ratio,
Ive only purchased the chicken "breast" choice entre ( about 30 times now ). Each time there were no detectable bits of "trim" ie gristle, only uniform pieces of chicken meat derived from the muscle tissue / non fatty flesh. This is the only way I will eat animal meat out,
Each time the entree came with 3 sauce cups, one teriyaki, one hot chili, and a dijon mustard ( my chopsticks fly dipping the meat into each sauce. Additionally, you can order the meat "spicy" in which they add some sort of spicy teriyaki in the later stage of cooking.
Large on average (please dont change)
Open up the back entrance with a fancy canopy, to let tourist in pioneer square know that you are a restaurant and open... probably the best advertising investment ROI in this case.
Oh yes, and the lady there is very polite and cute as well,
Rock'n Teriyaki! – I am so glad I found this place use this place as a lunch spot. They have a HUGE lunch special everyday for around 6 bucks, and I never finish it. Go early at 11:30 to avoid the lunch rush, or get there for what I call the lunch time show. The woman that does the front is amazing. She seems to be working at lightening speed doing order to stay, go, & phone, while taking food to table and cleaning up. I walked in to a huge line and was scared, but she breezes through it in minutes! They also have free tea & soup for you. It's a great place all around.
Editorial Review – Pioneer Square storefront serves up charbroiled teriyaki, tempura, yaki soba and other Japanese favorites.
