FUN & FRIENDLY! – So fun! Went there for Halloween with a big group. Drinks were affordable and karaoke was in full effect - the whole bar was singing and dancing no matter who was singing! The bartender even treated us to a couple of Candy Corn shots (his own secret recipe) - Yum!
DIRTY DIVE & DUMP – I was actually looking forward to going here when I first moved to the neighborhood but upon closer inspection that came to a screeching halt. The crowd is obnoxious frats and dirty drunks. Constant fights on the back patio (which is as dirty as the crowd) and certainly no place I would cook anything that I actually intended to consume. Overall this place gives off a major case of the creeps which is compounded by the horrible staff and the just plain creeps that patronize it. AVOID AVOID AVOID, and on that note you just walk around the corner to 'Ryans Daughter' on 85th, which quickly became my local fave.
On a side note, I gave 1 star b/c a rating is required, they deserve nothing.
BEST UES HANG OUT – Love this place. Friendly staff, backyard, pool table, buckhunter, BBQ grill....karaoke,,,,,,a must for any night!
AWFUL BAR, EXTRMEMELY RUDE STAFF, EXPENSIVE DRINKS, & SHADY CROWD!!!!!!!!!! – This place is an absolute hole and a waste of a business. The staff is constantly changing including management mainly because no one wants to work there. The drinks are small and expensive. The glasses are re-used without cleaning. The bartenders have no clue or knowledge of common drinks or how to pour them. My wife and I ordered a Stella and a margarita and received a foamy $7.00 draft beer, and a $10.00 vodka cranberry (bartender had no clue what was in a margarita) with lipstick on the glass and a fly frozen in the ice. When I received my tab I had been over charged and there were drinks on my tab that I had never ordered. The restrooms were occupied with hundreds of flies and a very foul smell. The backyard would be nice if you werent greeted by large rodents everytime you go out for a smoke. The back of the bar is also crowded with thug type guys playing cards on illegal gambling machines. I am also no bouncer but there were at least 7 underage kids in the bar and im not talking 20 year olds either. There were some definite 17-18 year olds drinking up a storm and getting hostile and rude. 2 of them in the backyard asked me if I knew where they could get some coke. This bar is a complete dump and nothing about my expereince here with my wife was even slightly enjoyable. Stay far away from this place as there are a ton of other bars in the neighborhood that are priced reasonably and know what it takes to run a sucessful business.
What A Dump! – Strange crowd, Too loud, Disinterested bartenders. Its great to have a pool table but the "posse" of fake sopranos types that mingle around the video poker machine and scream one louder than the next about how much they had on the over/under on the Arizona Cardinals game make this place truly forgettable.
Editorial Review – Laid-back bar features daily happy hours, pool, karaoke nights and a large backyard complete with a grill for bring-your-own-beef events.
Just what the UES needed! – finally a new bar in the UES that doesn't make me hate humanity! Awesome spot to go to straight after work. Owners are wonderful--friendly, funny, chill--always bbq-ing on the back patio! always a good pool game going on, juke box, golden tee, INSANELY CHEAP! So so so happy this bar opened up right before the summer. trust me, it's a perfect place to spend your afternoons and nights.
best bar on the upper east side – great atmosphere no jerks everyone is super friendly, great backyard area so you can smoke and drink. Great prices and went with some girlfriends and had a great time sat night karoke night and yes i did sing :)
