Tips for Chops Bistro
Awesome food, beautiful ambiance. This is the only place in Metairie I was suggest we go on our anniversary. The restaurant is just an amazing spot, cozy but fancy, quiet but friendly. They even have a piano player some nights. They have this one dish that's filet mignon with lump crabmeat...it blew me away. The waiters are very attentive, you never get forgotten.
Excellent food and Upbeat Service.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly host who showed me to a nice booth right next to the window, which was nice since they are located on the second story. I enjoyed an Angry Shrimp appetizer, recommended by the server, which had a tasty and unique sauce. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, and payed special attention to our refills.
I had their steak, which personally I thought was better than the one I had at Ruth Chris. My boyfriend had the pork chop, which looked beautiful, and he also said his tasted great. Chops has excellent food, and it is nice because you get better service without all of the hype at Ruth Chris.
Their white chocolate bread pudding is to die for. I'm not usually a sweets person but this bread pudding seemed very New Orleans style.
They have their own parking lot, which is nice so I felt comfortable walking back to my car at night. Chops was very accommodating to us, we were able to walk in without a reservation on a Friday night.
I highly recommend Chops to all my friends.
