TERRIBLE! – We should have left five minutes after we arrived! The atmosphere was too bright and too quiet. It felt weird... Then, the menu. The selections were minimal and a little too avant garde... nothing really looked that good. When our over-priced appetizer arrived, there were only 4 very small shrimp. Then, dinner. We both ordered $25 fish entrees. When our dinners arrived, we each had only 4 oz of fish and no side dish! Plus, the fish was way too salty! I felt like we were being cheated... where was our food? We left hungry and upset... DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! THERE IS A REASON THE PLACE ISN"T FULL ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!

Pleasantly surprised – I hope this place gets more business because I had a great experience there. Great food and great service. I got the veal chop and it was wonderful. The wines were great. I will defintely be back.

Something changed at this place, it went from 5 star to 1 star on my list – This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Then something happened. They changed their menu and more than doubled their prices. They took out the good stuffs - Miso cod and their eggplant appetizers. the price do not justify the quality of the food, nor the portion that they give you. We used to bring groups of friends there, and celebrated birthdays, anniversaries there. Well, that's not going to happen anymore. What on earth happened???

Great restaurant in Santa Monica – Went for the first time after receiving a gift certicicate by email last week, I guess my wife had already gone and gave our email... Well I didn't think I could say that but I'm glad she did!

I had the best meal I had in a long time, I had their River Salmon with some amazing mashed potatoes and roasted tomatoes. We had a great bottle of Reisling and left happy.

Santa Monica welcomes trendy tapas restaurant in the former Rocca space. – In Short
Daniel Snukal, a former private chef and caterer, has created this luxe Westside space, which features a small plates menu influenced by three regions: America, Europe and Japan. Westside interior designer Lori Erenberg (La Brea Bakery) has crafted its modern supper club atmosphere, with banquettes and table seating in rich, dark woods, mohair and iridescent silk fabrics. Dishes include ginger and coriander shrimp, miso black cod, grilled pear salad, proscuitto/mozzarella grilled sandwich, and moules frites.

If you like food, this is the place to go to – My husband and I love 3. We travel a lot to europe and we love food, this restaurant is truly comparable to restaurants you can find over there. We take our friends there as much as possible,

The chef is very talented and we really like the diversity of the menu which makes pleasing any friend very easy. The service is professional but not pretentious.

My husband loves beer and that was one of the reasons we first went there, their beer and wine selection is extensive.

Their menu changes everyday with seasonal specialities, the servers are always informed on the food and it is very easy to try new things. Their seared foie gras, halibut, lamb chops, mussels, sea urchin scrambled eggs appetizer are some of my favorites, but there is always something interesting to try.

Bon Appetit!

BEST IN SANTA MONICA – My friends told me this place was a must and it is! The food is wonderful. The menu is extremely eclectic with small plates and large. This is a store front restaurant in Santa Monica with a very simple decor. Don't go if you're looking for the million dollar interior design with no interest in good food. This place is very New York with a focus on great food and service. I'll definately be back!

disappointed – I'm a North side business owner and like to take my clients to nice places mostly on the West side. So I'm always looking for somewhere new near the beach. I guess I should have passed this one by instead of dropping $400.00 for dinner for 4. The French service was lacking to say the least. The Sommelier was a little pushy on certain wines and the server wasn?t very informed of the menu. The wine selection was super which made up for the small but pricey portions and odd selections. The decor is bland I felt like we were eating in an empty refrigerator. Although the upstairs adds interest it seems unused. Not the worst I?ve ever been to but definitely not even close to the best. I can?t say I'll be back.

stop!!! Before you make a reservation – Three on Fourth not what I expected. We were excited to go because our friends reccomended it. They said they had a nice time, to order the toro and cod, and that the waitress they had was extremely knowledgable of the food and especially the wine. So you can see why we were so interested in going. Not often you get the complete package. So here it goes NOBODY was there, The accoustics are terrible, Not a place to have a private or even a quiet conversation. First we were greeted by a hostess that seemed she had too many glasses of wine, (only because she had a glass of wine at her host desk), we were promptly seated due to the open tables, breifly had the menu explained to us and greated by our waitress. I'm sorry from here it just turned worse. The waitress had NO idea about the food or wines. They also have sake which my friend wanted, which the waitress had no idea about either all she said was it was "good" to everything. We asked what they were known for; she responded to a quiche that was on the menu and some other items, food I would not order esp. for dinner. Where are the side dishes that normally come with your entree? I noticed one entree ranges from $30.00 to $40.00 and you get little on the plate, you have to order your side which puts another $10.00 to $20.00 on your ticket alone. I thought this restaurant was supposed to be more eclecctic than this, but seemed more French than anything with french servers as well. The decore is so not French everything is Gray; which is a little confusing. The whole dinner was confusing all the way down to the menu, everything meshed together. In the end you end up ordering WAY to much and spending a small fortune to leave dis-satisfied with horrible service and a bit like you have been takin advantage of. I know L.A. has pricey restaurants, and I really like dining at them but honestly I want to enjoy the food/service I am paying close to $200.00 for!! Goes under my top 5 worst restaurants in L.A.- Never again!
