What a great experience, and great massage too. Not too sure about the "Silver Cloud" but Kaylynn is a wonderful therapist and I booked with her again. Very upscale experience.

Worst Massage I have Ever Had!!! – I have had a Lot of massages. I used to own a spa and have friends that are massage therapists. I was having a bad day and was really excited to get my massage. The massage therapist talked the whole time and didn't let me relax.. I constantly had to tell her to go deeper, and then when I did she would do it for a 2nd then go light! She kept massaging my spine super hard, and Then next day I was bruised. I just wanted the massage to end! It seemed like the massage therapist was not licensed and didn't know what the heck she was doing! It was the worst experience I have ever had, and I wish I would have not paid for it!

Best Massage Ever!!! – I had a massage at Zen Massage in Murray today for neck and lower back pain. It was amazing! My therapist was Natalie Hollist. She was incredible, after she was done with me my aches and pains were gone. She applied just the right amount of pressure. I have gotten different types of massages by different therapists before and I have to say this was the best massage by the best therapist ever. I will definitely come back to see Natalie again. Thank you Natalie.

Amazing service, these guys are for real! – Whenever I see a lot of 5 star reviews, I'm skeptical. Can anything be THAT good? I booked a couples massage for my wife and I on Valentine's day because she has never had a real professional massage and definitely deserved it. When I started looking for a place, Zen kept popping up. We didn't have the time (or reservations) for a spa and the couple of places I called first didn't have any openings. But before calling Zen, I went to their website to see if the buzz was justified. Their website definitely looked better and richer than any other place I went to and it was full of stuff about massage I didn't have time to read. But it was enough to convince me they were legit so I gave a call in hopes they still had openings. Luckily, they were able to work us in.

OK, their reviews were great, their website looked great, I felt confident. We arrived a little early and were seated in the waiting area in front of a giant flat-panel TV and a very fancy surround soundsystem. The TV was on the "Dancing Squiggle" channel where a brightly colored squiggle squiggles to deep and meditative music. OK it was weird at first, but as I watched from the recliner I actually felt myself starting to relax and sink into the cushions. The experience was very nice. My wife and I hardly said a word as we watched the squiggle. Our therapists came out to greet us personally each was very polite and professional. They took the time to talk to us about how we're doing, what we would like, asked us about injuries, other clinical stuff. Definitely felt very professional and sincere.

The room was very nice. The whole place has a very tasteful vibe... no single overpowering thing but cumulatively breathtaking. Our room had the same type of fancy surround system as the waiting area, a pair of tables, a loveseat and our own personal shower. I thought that was a nice touch and definitely not expected.

But really and honestly, the massage was everything. Those hands, oh dear God those hands! It wouldn't have mattered if the place was a back-alley warehouse. The way this girl worked my shoulders and back, I just melted. METLED. While the music played, I could hear my wife sighing softly next to me. If her therapist was anything like mine, I had a feeling she'd be back. I know I would. How do they do this? Was this some secret technique? I've done my share of travel and had my share of massages but nothing ever this deep and relaxing. I swear she could read my mind. If they could put this thing they do in a jar and sell it, they'd be set for life! And oh the hot towels! You can't imagine how good a hot towel feels under your neck after it's been worked by magic hands! Amazing little details too good not to mention!

My wife and I walked out of the room almost giddy, floating on air. It just felt weird to feel this good. They even let us choose from their exotic tea collection and brewed a pot just for us. Amazing little details...

On our way out, we each got a bottle of water and grabbed a brochure. When did we ever take home a brochure from a business and actually read it? But the best-for-last was a heart-shaped box of Dove chocolates from the front-desk. We weren't regulars or VIPs, but this was all first-class all the way. I have yet to find a place that treated us this good and made us feel this good. My wife was actually reading their brochure in the car after we left. Her first massage experience really was amazing. Definitely. We'll be back for sure.

What? No six stars? NO, SERIOUSLY THE BEST – I have been to dozens of massage establishments. In nearly all experiences I was left wanting. What I found SO absolutely refreshing about Zen is they totally get the details of an experience. Aroma therapy (and they remembered what fragrance I liked the next time I came). Hot towels placed on the back and under the neck. Incredible sounds system. That may sound kind of random, but seriously to an audio guy like me, having a high end system, so that the subtleties of the music are "felt" are all part of the details I am talking about. The things that maybe most people wouldn't even notice, or possibly even appreciate . . . I sure do. They even have this full body shower that hits you with 8 heads all over, after your massage. I think I stayed in there for 20 minutes. It was ridiculous how much in heaven I was after my first experience. I have been back 8 times in 3 months. EVERY time I had the same quality experience as my first. Helen, the owner is so clearly involved and cares about the experience, that they have it down to a science. There are few things I have ever experienced, that I feel as passionately about, as I do Zen Massage. I would weep openly if I wasn't able to get my "fix" on a regular basis. I simply love them. The truth, and only the truth.

I loved it! – I've been to several popular spas in Salt Lake and while the experiences were good, I've never had a massage as deep and relaxing as here. During my first visit, my therapist was very professional and seemed genuinely interested in how I was feeling. When she started working on me, it almost felt like she was reading my mind. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders because I drive a lot and in just a few minutes, she zeroed on just the right spots. I couldn't believe the difference after she was done. My head felt like it was floating on my shoulders. The pain in my neck was completely gone!

After this, I decided to bring my wife in for a couples massage and even thought we had different therapists, we both left feeling amazing. Two visits, three massages, and a perfect score. My wife was raving about how great she felt all the way home.

The ambiance at Zen is really good, but the massage is the best part of the experience, as it should be. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Definitely coming back again.

Not the worst...but definitely NOT THE BEST – I don't know what everyone is talking about as far as this being THE BEST in Salt Lake. I've had plenty of one hour massages, all ranging from the most relaxing, rewarding experiences to just awful sessions from therapists paying no attention to detail, and this place definitely places in the bottom tier. I went to the Murray location so I can only vouch for that one and want to assume that maybe the other reviews are referring to the Salt Lake location. I went in with high expectations after reading the reviews, but should have guessed that perhaps employees and their relatives were the ones posting them.

The relaxation was forced, images of animals mauling each other from Planet Earth were playing on the TV along with terrible smooth jazz in the background, which also served as the soundtrack during the session. I don't know if my therapist was new or fresh out of massage therapy school, but the lack of attentiveness was TERRIBLE. I asked for more work in specific areas and those areas seemed to receive the least amount of attention. I'd think for a one hour massage, my hands, feet and legs would have received more than just a simple light pressure rub down. My sister also went and said her therapist was fine, so I just want to assume that, again, my disappointing session was due to the therapist's lack of experience. The music was anything but relaxing; it was too loud, and just plain annoying (instrumental versions of songs like "Isn't She Lovely" were played by saxophone led amateur jazz bands, just embarrassing).

Overall, there are MUCH better places to get a massage (like the Kura Door in the Avenues). I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent massage, at least not the Murray location.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. We appreciate all honest feedback, especially if it helps us improve our service and your experience. We would like to apologize to you personally and invite you to contact us at your convenience so we can make it up to you. As dedicated massage professionals, we know how frustrating it is to ask for specific bodywork and pressure without receiving it. While we do all we can to provide the highest level of service, we do much better when clients express their needs and expectations directly. All of our clients are encouraged to give feedback on everything from background music to the pressure and oil applied, and have always been accomodated when doing so.

We are truly grateful for the genuine reviews our clients provide, and are working hard on perfecting the massage experience for everyone who visits us.

Amazing bodywork – I was a little nervous getting a massage since I'd never had one before...but from the moment I walked in, Stephanie took care of everything. She answered any questions I had and tailored the experience to my needs. I haven't been this relaxed and flexible in years! They definitely have another client for life.

Want the best? This it ! – More than worth it! From the moment I walked in I was pampered with hot tea, a recliner and soothing video to relax me. Hearing surround sound and having a temperature controlled room made it all the more relaxing. It was obvious that the massage therapist I had was well trained and professional. The environment was all top of the line. The marble tile in room shower took it up another notch. If you want to be treated special and be in a high end place, this is it ! I'll be a regular.
