Good Food, Great Wine, Great Atmosphere – This is our "go to" place in Summerlin. When my husband and I want to go out for a really nice dinner and not go down to the Strip, this is the place we head to. The food is really good. The bruschetta and all the pastas we've had have all been first rate. But overall I have to say the food is not quite up to the level of the best Italian restaurants on the Strip.
But the wine list is fantastic (not too big, not too small) and the sommelier Angelo gives fantastic advice and service. We don't spent a lot on wine so we've really appreciated him helping us select reasonably priced but unbelievably good Italian wine. He even has helped served our meals on two occasions, which just shows how dedicated everyone in this restaurant is to service.
Also, this really is a pleasant, elegant but not stuffy restaurant to eat at. They have a fireplace and an outdoor patio. Love it!
Challenging – From making a reservation (whether over the phone or in person) to getting your table to getting service once sat to getting good food - it all seems to challenge them - and they've been like this since day one. It's like they are STILL working out the opening kinks - haven't they been open for a few years?
I find it rude when I go there all the time - especially with clients (I'd call myself a regular) and I walk in for a table and wait patiently, and then some cheeseball casino host walks in some cheeseball group and they get sat ahead of me. How are they better than me - or more important? -Because they roll up their pennies and drop them in a video game? I thought this was a restaurant not a gift that you get for playing at the carnival? Maybe they should rename the restaurant: Consolation Prize.
With the prices they charge for pizza and pasta, they should be more on their game.
Oh, and how about adding some music or some entertainment?
Lastly, it's funny to watch the "suits" walk around the room, but not help out... I don't know if they are restaurant managers or higher up's but they act like they are very special... too bad the restaurant isn't so special.
Below average is a generous rating.
I eat there a lot and it is always average - at best – So, it's very convenient to my house, so I eat there a lot - or order and take it "To Go" and it is always average.
The service is also average - sometimes better than others but when it's off, it's extremely off.
The two of us were once sat at a table for two, which had one chair... once the server argued with me about what I ordered, when he made a mistake, another time the bartender gave me the wrong change with my to go food and told me I was wrong, when he punched in the wrong amount to tender, and finally saw his mistake - oops. Oh yeah, he also got my order wrong??? Salt in the wound.
I've had iced tea poured in my soda, no bread tray brought to my table, no olive oil other times and no cheese and vegetable plate other times... it's always a few comical things that we laugh at now because we can't find another local italian spot to go to and my girl loves their overpriced pizza.
Anyway, it's funny how lame they are because it just needs some training and tweaking and they'd be a great spot.
But, it seems like they are comfortable with being very mediocre, because it never gets any better.
Oh yeah... and there's this thing about reservations there... you can walk up to a nearly empty room and if you don't have a reservation, they say they are booked... hello, we are a party of 2? I think you can squeeze some people in to your nearly empty restaurant. So, I call reservations from the house phone a return 10 minutes later and get sat??? Crazy
Last thing: The music - or lack of. Don't you love when you can hear this scratch noise above you, which you can't define because it's not loud enough??? Well, that would be their music program.
Can't wait to go back. – Excellent Service - wait staff was friendly, knowledgable of the menu items, quick, and courtious. Execellent Food - salads were made from fresh greens and tomatoes, bread was fresh, and our main courses were perfectly prepared. I will admit that the red sauce was not what we expected - it was a creamy red sauce. My wife and I look forward to dining there again soon.
Stay at home and cook! – What a dissapointment! My husband and I ordered the specials of the evening. The food was absolutely tasteless and lacked any creativity in presentation. I could have whipped up a better pasta dish with shrimp at home!!!
Waste of Time – I took my best friend who was visiting from out of town to this restaurant for lunch. My neighbors had been to this restaurant and raved about it. We ordered the Scampi with Leeks and Minnestrone soup as appetizers. The shrimp were not deveined, the leeks were mostly green and were like straw. The sauce for the scampi had so much black pepper that it burned going down. The soup, however, was good. On to the entrees. We ordered the Scaloppine Limone with Spinach and Ravioli with Meat Sauce. The two pieces of veal were drenched in a brown sauce (that had no lemon flavor whatsoever) that separated on the plate as the dish cooled down. The fresh steamed spinach had no flavor; if you closed your eyes and ate it, you'd have no idea what you were eating. The only "Limone" on the veal dish was the half lemon on the side of the plate. The veal and the brown butter sauce over it were loaded with black pepper, so much so, that it ruined the dish. The meat sauce on the ravioli was so salty, it was inedible. Management was kind enough to remove the offensive dishes from our bill. Someone should tell this restaurant that if they want to lure more people for dinner by opening for lunch with a below par kitchen staff, it's a waste of time. I won't try it for dinner.

This mid-scale northern Italian eatery is rustically romantic, with a dining room featuring earth-toned walls, chocolate-colored woods and creamy tablecloths--even an exhibition kitchen. Bad Waiter experience – My wife and I went for a nice romantic dinner, which was ruined by poor service of a waiter who vanished after taking our order. This was, however taken care of by an excellent Sommelier and General Manager who comp'd us a round of drinks, dessert and brought us out homemade Limoncello. I would go back for the simple fact that the Sommelier in particular went out of her way to try and bring our evening back to what we expected.
