for a good time – great atmosphere.....excellent service, fairly priced.......owners are very nice people. always a fun night out
xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx – I had the greatest time. The girls were hot and the music was great.Drinks are priced good and so are bottles.
NEVER AGAIN! – It is such a shame that with the money that people spend to get into these places and the money spent on drinks, they still only care about making more money. I went there for my birthday and was promised by the promoter that me and my guests would be taken cared of. Not only were the men charged $30 to get in but they refused to let in some of my other guests unless they were buying a bottle. With the number of people I already had inside and the $15 we were spending on drinks, we shouldn't have had to buy a bottle and if that were the case, they should have told us that before hand. We left a different place to go there and were treated very poorly. They didn't care about that either. We were told by a man who supposedly owned the place that they were not letting my friends in unless they were buying a bottle and that they didn't care what the promoter told us. The music was good but not worth the money we spent in there and the treatment we received. We can listen to hip hop and reggae in just about any other spot now. We ended up in Duvet and had a much better time. I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I would recommend that people stop going. I am so disgusted and in awe with the way I was treated on my birthday that I will never do business with the place ever again.
Hot Chicks & Great DJ – Went to the club last night and had an awesome time. We had about eight people in our group (5 girls & 3 guys) and were able to bypass the line because we decided to buy a couple of bottles. It was well worth it, we got a great spot right next to the dance floor and stayed till around 3:45 when the bottles went dry. Not a low rent grungy place, so come dressed nicely, put your money where your mouth is and they treat you well. I'll be back!
NOT A GOOD PLACE TO GO – Horrible!!!! I went here for my birthday big mistake ... When we went to get in they told us we had to buy three bottles for the eight of us !! We said no way and as we walked away they stopped us and said we could come in.. We should have kept walking! We paid twenty bucks to get in ten a drink and the people who come to this club are a bunch of poseers !!! The people we rude.. They told my friends to move someone bought the table... The place was not that nice and the bathrooms were gross!!! I would not take my dog here....
Terrible...Stay Away!! – Don't even bother having your birthday here. This place has the rudest doorstaff and waitress. And the manager was completely useless. Not only did my friends have a hard time getting in, they had to buy three bottles to get in (5 girls and 5 guys)!! I had already agreed to buy 4 bottles for the night and they were forced to buy 3 more. Unbelievable!!! When I spoke to the manager, she just completely ignored me.
Amazing Place – I must say to the person below:
1. Of course there is going to be mandatory coat check at a club. Ask yourself this: would you want 500+ coats laying around everywhere meanwhile you are trying to have a good time? I didn't think so either. It's winter and its mandatory for everyones sake, so get over it. I would rather put my coat away then have it spilled with everyone's drinks at the end of the night. Another thing: if $3 dollars for coat check seems like a burden to your wallet then get the hell out of NYC completely. That is just ridiculous. I frequent plenty of venues and I only know of a few places with comp'd coat check, and even if i had to pay $5 dollars it wouldn't be a problem. $3 dollars... wow ...that is just too funny. (I am still laughing at that)
2. The bouncers outside can't just let anyone who claims to have a friend inside through the door and COMP'D!! You lost your mind. That is never going to happen. If you are in a situation like this why not call your friend inside BEFORE you get there, so he/she can get you in. That way you can avoid the rejection and the embarrasement at the door.
3. Stop picking on the pretty people. It only makes you look stupid. The fact that your friend is pretty doesn't mean she is going to help you get right in. Ugly or pretty doesn't matter. You want to get right in? Here's the golden rule at any venue across the country: BUY SOME BOTTLES. End of story.
4. Last but not least: Lines are lines and that only shows that MANOR is a great, popular hot spot. If you don't want to do lines then go somewhere in Hickville.
Over and out
overpriced and trashy – This place seemed like a problem from the start. My very pretty friend and I came by for a specific party/table Saturday night. Without listening, the bouncer just told us "back of the line, $20 cover". We were baffled. We then had to do the 'text so-and-so to come outside and get us" which is what ended up happening. Once our friend came out they comped our entrance free. Once inside, we were told there was a MANDATORY coat check. They won't let you in unless you go downstairs and check your coat for $3 EACH. Then we came back upstairs and bought ourselves each $8 beers. Bartender was rude and thought she was super hot (she was, but that doesn't make up for bad service). We then scoped out the crowd. It was very jersey trash. We were surprised that a place like this, that charges $23 before you even get a drink would have this type of crowd. We hung out at the table and after about 45 minutes decided to head out. Once downstairs to GET our coats to LEAVE we had to wait in a 20 minute line with the people who were checking their coats. It was hot, stuffy and I felt that I would almost pass out. Not to mention the coat check is next to the coed bathroom so the lines just build on each other. Needless to say, after we left and went to a few other parties we informed people of the bad, below average experience at manor and vowed to never return there again. If you want to spend money at a place with nothing to offer then go ahead. I must say though, the DJ was doing a great job so good for you!
Manor is ok – Friday seeing some of the NY Giants excellent. The rest of the crowd "Jerkoffs" they actually think there somebodies. Service top notch. Not really my crowd but had a good time. Dance floor packed, my friends and I prefered standing in the back. I would try another night.
Fun Night – Came to club from Westchester with my girlfriends on Saturday. We heard about it from an article in the paper taking about the NY Giants going there a few days before the Superbowl.
The place was really busy when we arrived, but after about five minutes on line outside we got in. The door guys were very nice and did the best they could to get us in as soon as people left.
The music was really awesome. My friends and I stayed so late we missed our train back!
One mistake we made was not getting table service. We would have ended up spending just as much and wouldn't have had to leave the dance floor to get a drink. Its also nice to have somewhere to put your purse while you are on the dance floor. We noticed that people who were getting bottle service were really being treated like VIPs. If we got to close to a table, they would ask the people if it was okay.
Get there early if you want to scope out a good spot and come in a group.
