Wonderful, quaint oasis! – We frequent LiLi many times a month. Love their coffee, the food, the chef, and the quaint ambiance. Always a nice, quality meal for us!
Great Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner place – hmmmm... I stongly disagree... with the other reviewers. Really good food, The menu seems to change every few weeks or so, everytime i come in it changes which is kinda nice, things come back on to the menu, so if you had a favorites not on the menu anymore dont fear. Sundays are CRAZY busy, so to avoid a wait come on saturday, customer service has improved. i like it there :) cute cozy place with a good atmosphere. 4.5 stars
Cute place, but puzzling customer service – I was driving by this place and thought it looked cute, so I stopped in. The place was definitely cute inside. A very homey place to sit and read my book on a rainy winter morning. I ordered some Earl Grey tea. Their pastry case was pretty empty, though. A few muffins, a few cookies, a few scones. I asked the woman if that was all they had in the way of food to eat. She said there was a pound cake in the oven, but otherwise, yes, that was it. I was pretty disappointed, but I enjoyed my tea all the same.
About ten minutes later, two different groups walked in and sat down at tables. They were handed menus! I heard their orders being taken. It seems this place has the traditional breakfast fare like eggs, toast, sausage, etc. I was flabbergasted. I have no idea why this was not pointed out to me when I asked about food. It's not like I was even ordering my tea "to go."
So, this is a cute place with good tea and that's about all I can say at this point. And be sure to ask to see the menu! (I gathered they serve breakfast and lunch at this place; not sure about dinner.)
Good place that is still finding itself, but give it a shot! – This cute little place started out as a simple coffee and pastry shop. Then closed and reopened a few months later as a full service breakfast joint! The few times I went they were still trying to figure everything out. Family run place with teens as waitresses and mom or aunt (I think) in the kitchen, so service was uneven, but they were getting the hang of it. Made me wait 15 minutes to appear with an espresso I ordered, but felt bad about it and gave me some free pastries! Breakfast food looks good and well prepared. Their brunch dishes are moderately expensive, and a bit fancy, it is NOT a cheap place (try Bertie Lou's up the street for that), but is good. It's been ahwile since I've been in there so they probably have it all figured out by now. Try it! South 17th St is having quite the little revival!
