The Pom Pom (pomegranate juice/vodka) is the bomb bomb – Great prices and a lo-fi vibe make this place one of my west side faves. It's a dive bar without the dirt, a brunch diner without the lines, and a rock club without the cover charge. Some bands you wish you'd paid for, others...well...at least they were free and the drinks are good. Weekend brunch is the perfect hangover antidote with Neil Diamond, faux-cranky waiters, and awesome french toast.
Jesus and I approve. – went for dinner and a show. really crowded, but the people were cool and the food was good. I like the no cover, makes it easier to spend more on mickeys and PBR.
It's about time! – Finally, a great place, close to home. The food is good, the atomosphere is truly Seattle. The place is clean! Matthew; we love you! ;O) We will be in often. Thanks and best of luck.

We love you, Skylark! – I love this place! Their mac n' cheese is by far my favorite thing to eat there, but I also really like their mozarella logs & tater tots topped with cheddar. (I'm a Wisconsin girl; I love my cheese. :p) The staff is competent and very sassy fun. Matthew and Roger rock my socks. When serving Hefeweizen, Roger rubs the rim of the glass all the way around with lemon. Little touches like that are fantastic. Speaking of drinks-- ask for the Karaoke Star. It's m'mmm good. Karaoke night is usually filled with a bunch of very happy, very boisterous regulars. Lots of audience participation! It's always a rockin' good time.
Great Food, Great Staff – Add this place to your list of "where to go to get great Mac'n'Cheese". It's outstanding.
I'm a Tuesday regular, I come for the karaoke & the atmosphere. The staff is amazing, from the owners, the cooks, Roger the bartender & Matthew the Manager, everyone is ultra friendly and they all sing! Their Karaoke host Josie is awesome, and it's always a really fun time.
They've got a great happy hour, and their live music is always free, which is really cool.
Pros - Good Food, even after the "main menu" closes; great live music; the BEST karaoke in town.
Cons - Watch your head when you go outside to smoke, the Metro Buses drive by fast & often, and their mirrors hurt when they run into you.
This place rocks! – The staff is amazing, we heart Roger and Matthew! They have GREAT karaoke on Tuesday too! The food is awesome, and they even serve a good bar menu til 1 am. The parking is tricky, but if you come here often enough, you learn the secret. It's so nice to have some place close to home that isn't the Rocksport. I'm so glad they're here! Only con for me, they don't take American Express. Not a big deal...
don't know where that guy was... – i live in the delridge 'hood and have not experienced what that guy did. i am there most music nights for a few reasons...#1 free freakin' music...#2i have always had excellent food!!...#3the bartenders are fun and actually make their drinks from scratch, no roses lime juice...actual muddled limes and sugar...awesome! #4 this place actually has the area in mind, they live around here ( i have spent a few happy hours talking to several staff members) and they actually seem to care what i want and what suggestions i may have...they brought in a certain kind of whiskey just for a guy who drinks 1 drink every karaoke night...i hope the person who wrote the last review gives it another chance...maybe it was their attitude that was offensive.
annoying as all hell – where to start? so first, this is the hardest place to get to. It is actually illegal to make a left turn from Delridge into what limited parking there is. So you have to go down under the bridge, turn around and come back the other direction. By that time, the ten parking spaces are probably gone. When we went there on Friday, it was about 100 degrees inside. No AC? Fine, at least put a fan on. Then there was the waitress/bartender, trying oh so much to be punk rock and aloof even though she was all of about 21 and wasn't even born when punk rock was in it's heydey. Hey, she had the aloof "I am so much hipper than you" thing down. When asked if she could wipe down our sticky table, she threw a sopping wet stinky bar rag on the table. I didn't realize that it was my job to wipe my own table down! The drinks were light on the booze, the service was heavy on the attitude, the bathroom was smelly and treacherous (almost got stuck in there since the door doesn't work properly) the food was terrible, aside from the disgustingly-named "Mozzerella Logs" which were very popular at the table. Simply put, this place will go the way of Madisons and the Steel Sky Bistro that were in the same location. Someone should just tear the building down so people stop trying to put clubs there.
Forget Alki, come here.. – for fish and chips!! Yum! Fresh halibut with the most
amazing tartar sauce! Hubby and I also sampled the
clam chowder and basked in it's creamy goodness.
I also give a shout out to the mozzarella logs which
are golden bricks of goodness dipped in granny
Carmella's homemade marinara.
Must try their Fish n' Chips, yum yum! Just for the halibut! – What I think makes the Skybox special is that it is authentic. Matthew the cafe manager came around more than once to ask what I liked and what could be improved. I could tell he cares. It was not the superficial, "Everything OK?...Enjoy." we always hear. The place does have an edge, particularly in that dicy approach to the parking lot...But that's not a complaint. Who wants another bland dining experience of a faux-theme restaurant in a strip mall anyway?
