Unimpressed.
We went to the Weldon at Parkplace and found it to be one of the worst bait-and-switch places ever.
When I complained to a friend at the coffee shop nearby he said they were famous in Spokane for being sleezy operators.
Wish I'd known before
Amazing hair cuts, Friendly, knowledgable and hot staff..
Weldon Barber. Being a man i never really valued a good haircut. I have spent my entire life getting the "super cut" what i never realized was that what i was getting was no super cut, it was always inconsistent and each time i went i had a new barber that i had to "train" how to cut my hair again all over.
I decided to give a real barber shop a try. I didn't want one of those frew frew girly shops, i am a guy after all. I wanted to go to a place that was fun and catered to men. I gave Weldon barber in Kirkland a try for the first time 8 months ago. My first and only Barber is Elicia L. If you want the best you go to her. Elicia is a perky happy and damn smart barber, in addition Elicia is a hot barber and she is an American Crew trainer/teacher which basically means she knows how to cut hair and more specifically men's hair and finally she is a senior barber. Its all that when added up that make Elicia the best barber i could ask for.
My first experience with Elicia yielded the best haircut i have had in my 26 years of getting "super cuts", but what was the real surprise was when i went back 4 weeks later, she not only remembered me but she knew exactly what to do to my hair again to make it look like it had 4 weeks prior, wait for it... With out me having to train her again.
Over all i am now a Weldon Barber customer for life. I only wish there was some sort of lifetime membership program :)
Great Atmosphere, Great Service, and Great Barber!. Who would have thought a haircut and a shave could make life so great? I do now! I have been going to see Meghan for quite a while now and I look forward to my experience every time. I have always been that type to get my haircut at different places, but once I got my haircut by Meghan at Weldon it was a different story. It is a very modern, upscale barber shop which suits today's businessman. Meghan is a very talented barber and it is quite obvious that she brightens up the entire barber shop just by her presence. Bottomline, great atmosphere, great service, great barber!
Great Haircuts, Great Stylists - Just for Men!.
#1 - Meghan has been my barber for several months and I've never been happier with my cut (and neither has my girlfriend).
Meghan is skilled, funny, personable and seems to intuitively know when I just want yak or not talk and just enjoy the experience.
She's also a babe, which doesn't hurt (and what is it that Weldon barbers are all babes? Not complaining, mind you). And they all seem pretty skilled, though some have more interesting personalities than others.
For example, outside of Meghan another barber there named "E" (not sure her full name - that's what Meghan calls her) seems pretty interesting. She too is a great barber, witty, funny... and a looker as well.
And my Weldon cuts have always been a great haircutting experience every time. From the hot towels to the final touch-up -- I've gotta tell you -- once you've been to Weldon's, you'll never go back to Supercuts or unconfortably sit in a salon designed for women.
Weldon is designed for us guys from top to bottom and I'm a fan for life, unless someone majorly screws up.
'Nuff said.
* = on the "Cons" I had to wrack my brains for something negative to say and that was the best I could come up with. Look, I'm a critical guy who likes things a certain way and Weldon, just simply does most things right.
Extremely Satisfied. Meghan does an outstanding job and I've been extremely satisfied with the result. I've had the Signature cut 3 times and will be back. Paid a lot more for a men's haircut and gotten much less. Meghan rocks!
Great Cuts!. Had the Signature with both Brittany & Elicia on separate occasions. Both did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend them and the services they performed.
The Best Haircuts in Town =).
Hi! My name is Elicia. I have been with Weldon for almost 5 years now, and I now am settled in our Kirkland location. =)
I am a senior barber, meaning I am the most requested barber in my shop & my prices are $5 more than the other barbers.
So, all this talk of turnover, let me explain. At Weldon, we have VERY high standards and expectations. If your not cutting it, after mass coaching, there is not much for us to do but to move on. Not only do the employees have to be great to our clients, provide an amazing experience, give great haircuts, but they also have to be great team players. Yes, we made new rules, but it was only to raise the bar, setting high standards and to better our company. There is NOTHING wrong with that.
Weldon is an amazing company!!!! I love it & plan on retiring with Weldon. Brittney in my shop has been there for almost a year and a half now & let me tell you, she rocks!!! Meghan is our newby & employee of the month & cause she is awesome!!! All of the girls in my shop rock. We FINALLY have an amazing team!!!!
Trust me, if you come to Weldon in Kirkland, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee that! So come on down to park place & get the Signature, it will be your 30 minute vacation =)
See ya soon!!
if not broke dont fix it. i worked at weldon barber for a year and at the beginning i really enjoyed working there. It felt like the company cared how their employees were being treated. 6 moths went by and everything started changing and for the worst. They were bring in new management and changing everything that was already working. Treating us like they did not care. It was ridiculous everyone was leaving because every week they would come in with new rules and things we had to do. It was no longer fun coming into work never knowing what was going to change next. From what i hear now they have a whole new staff everyone that once use to be there has now left, but dont get comfortable with any of the new girls they will soon be gone too at the rate weldon is going!!! My advice go somewhere else anywhere is better than there!!!
Spendy for an OK haircut. If you get the signature you will probably be dissapointed. The haircuts are ok. Attitude from some of the staff is great but they have HIGH turnover (the boss is apparently nutso). If you get the gal that gives you a "good cut" stay with her. But unfortunately she won't be there long.... So final word "the price doesnt match the experience"!
