Loved it! – I was greeted me upon my arrival. It was a Monday morning and I was not sure if I could get the services I wanted. The Woman who greeted me was not only nice but very helpful and attentive. I was a walk in appointment and was able to get in for a full set of gel nails! I also was able to squeeze in an eyebrow wax. From beginning to end, my experience was wonderful! I felt like a million dollars when I left. I was taken care of in every way. I would highly suggest the Pointe day spa to anyone.
Beautiful! – I arrived at the spa and was greeted by a very sweet lady! To my suprise i was offered a glass of wine or mimosa for my service and a robe to change in to. I loved my experience here and would recommend it to ANYONE! Best massage i have ever had :)
The BEST Spa Experience! – I have to say that this was the best Spa day I have had in a very long time. I was impressed from the moment I stepped into the Spa. I was greeted by a very nice Woman who smiled instantly and warmly thanked me for coming to the Pointe. Her name tag had the name Cheryl on it. She really put the cherry on top of my wonderful Spa sundae. Cheryl told me she would be right back and that she would let Julie know that I was here for my treatment. Julie came out and greeted me. I just could not get over how genuinely friendly everyone was. I had the best pedicure from Julie. I look forward to going back. I would recommend The Pointe Day Spa at Bethany Athletic Club to ANYONE!
I WAS HELD PRISONER! – This place was horrendous. I was using a gift certificate that I got for my birthday. I had used part of it and had a credit written on the card. They ask you to pay on your way out. Fine.
My massage was ok. The massuese talked too much but it felt fine. When I left there were no showers and the person had given me a lovely oily head rub which left me looking like GARY BUSEYS mug shot! There was NO coming back from that hair do. I was ticked that the ability to shower was NOT AN OPTION!
Then I went to pay. They said that my card didn't have any money on it which was a wrong. I could tell them exactly when and where I had used it and she asked me to please wait. She made some phone calls and said, "There's nothing we can do, I'm sorry." WHAT?? I said to her, "I am not paying you." And she asked me to please sit and wait.
I didn't know if they were calling security or what. I was shaking I was so mad but I remained calm as I could and then we "talked" some more about the situation. I said I was not going to pay her and if she could not tell me when I had used my card and prove that I had no money left on it then I would not pay!
She could not come up with any dates or times and the date and time that I offered up was right in her books. I actually forget how long it took but somewhere along the lines of 25 minutes they made me sit and wait like a criminal. It was the most ANNOYING thing I have ever been involved with when it comes to dealing with a "customer service" type situation. I'm forty years old and I've dealt with alot of customer service situations. This one was the VERY WORST.
Finally she let me go. DISGUSTING. I caution you to never, EVER go to this dungeon. You might not make it out without cuffs. They treat you like a criminal.
Happy Birthday to me. - One star because I had to. I'd rather rate them 5 skull and crossbones. Buyer beware.
Dirtiest Pool in Portland – //There is no option to give Rating 0. BAC doesn't deserve a Star. Why is diarr hea (without space not accepted) inappropriate to use?
Every visit to the pool causes eye infections or diarr hea. If you check with front desk, they don't have a procedure to record any complaints. Talk to your friends who visit the BAC pool and check with them .
Outside pool is so dirty that even sitting by side of it can cause sickness. Kids with diapers (hanging with space for water to flush the diaper) ,no control of number of people in water at a particular time etc.
The family changing area is carpeted and has a stinky smell. You cannot take younger kids to the adult locker rooms. Every time you take your kids to the family changing room, you need to stop talking due to the smell and walk out ASAP. (Very bad choice to use carpet in that area, as it is wet most of the day and no space for fresh air to get in or to be sanitized, . Don't tell me you sanitize it at end of the day.)
The Portland downtown club has a cleaner pool, small separate area for kids and professional staff.
The group fitness sessions are so crowded that you need to step on other members during the aerobics and other group sessions. They don't have limitations on how many people can attend a class.
If you can drive till 24 hour fitness or THPRD or cedar mill recreation center , do that for a healthy life and save your money.
mmmmmmmmmmm – They also have very unreasonable policy, that kids under 7 must be put in the stroller to track with you on the track (so do kids under 7 must be put in the stroller to go to kindergarten????????), and kids under 7 are not allowed in the woman's lock room which has the steam room and sauna room, even the kids just going in take a shower. so if you have kids under 7 you probably don't want to join this club, because you never get chance to go to the steam room and sauna room.
Thank You for a great experience! – What an amazing experience. The staff in the spa was so warm and welcoming right from the start. All up until the delightful Chocolate Papaya Mud Wrap, I was catered and taken care of. The staff created such a stress and tension free environment, I completely forgot about the important meeting I had the next day. I could recommend this spa to anyone who is new to the area or looking for a peaceful place to spend your day.
Inconsistent, maybe Prejudice, gives priority to people who seems to have more TIPPING POWER – Inconsistent Service. First they assigned me a to an experienced facial tech, but when another person came, who seems to have more tipping power, the salon gave me a different facial tech. The tech they gave me whom I paid $85.00 was sneezing all the time! She has terrible allergy problems --- I was not very happy even if the teh tried to do a good job.
Nice but inconsistent service quality – This spa has a nice interior atmosphere. In general most of the experiences have been good, however I've had a few very bad experiences. For example, when I'm left with a very badly botched up wax job (skin torn off my eye lid) and a manager who seems to want to fish for excuses and is less than timely in being responsive. Nobody wants to feel brushed off and treated less than a valued customer.
