Terrible customer service – This company should be ashamed of their customer service. My wife ordered a convertible sofa to be delivered to our 2nd floor guest bedroom. The delivery guys showed up, saggy pants, unprofessional and uncaring. They took a cursory look at the stairway, noted a clearance issue with my hanging pendant lights and asked us to sign a liability waiver. I clamped the lights up higher and refused to sign the waiver. They proceeded with the install, and in the process of jamming the sofa through the door, broke the door frame of a house we just purchased. The delivery guys acknowledged the broken frame, says it happens often and we should call the furniture company for them to take care of it. Then they high-tailed it out. I documented the damage, called the company, left several messages and began an email campaign. Of course, they denied everything and tried to get rid of me with store credit (as if I would buy anthing else from them). Now it's weeks of delayed emails (still not a single return call or apology) and my only recourse is the court system. They wouldn't even cover 1/3 the repair cost (and that was like pulling teeth). I'll see them in court and they will pay in full plus my expenses. Don't let them scam you with their hollow words regarding customer service. They hate their customers and it shows.
BAAAAD Place – Nightmare!!!! STAY AWAY!! Ordered a sofa on Sunday. The sale person knew we needed within 1-2 weeks. When we got home saw it was 4-6 weeks. Called Monday to cancel to find something faster-- They charged 25% CANCELLATION Fee less than 24 hours after placing. Sloppy, unprofessional salesmanship, poor customer service and predatory cancellation policies!!!
Furniture corp AKA: select furniture – I purchased a dining room table and chairs Furniture Corp told me all I have to do is put the legs on, so I didn't get it assembled.. the box came everything in pieces need full assembly, so I put two chairs together the other two I could not put together. Furniture Corp charged me to come out and assembled the chair , which took two weeks, the driver with two hours late. He would not assemble the chairs.. the chairs were defective and this was four days before thanksgiving. He told me to call customer service but they do not have a phone number no one called me, they emailed me and told me they will exchange the two chairs but my experience had been so stressful that I just wanted my money back and to have them pick the furniture up. They emailed me, not even a phone call and told me I had to pay a cancellation fee of 25% and also threatened me, if I write a review they would post my name all over the internet as well and it works both way.. I never heard of such an unprofessional response in my life and I'm the consumer with a unsatifactory experience and just wanted my money back and never do business with them again and they got angry and threatened me and told me they could not do anything else for me but only exchange the chairs and who knows when that will happen.. The furniture is very cheaply made I rather spend more money and get the customer service I deserve without defective furniture. I hope no one else will ever have to experience this, that is why I am writing this review. please go somewhere else, it's alot more reasonable price furniture out there with way better service and product.

Read the *Terms and Conditions* before you BUY!!! 25% CHARGE for "Canceling Orders or Returns"!!! Will not give out Customer Service Phone Number!!! They will "have Customer Service Call You back"??? Read all the *Bad Reviews* by going to Google and typing in both the *Furniture Corp* and *Select Furniture*. I guess this is why they changed the name. My Advice...spend a little more and go to JC Penny, Sears or Macy's and you will be dealing with *reputable companies* how know how to treat their customers! I'm thinking alot of these *Good reviews* might of be written by the Owner and his Employees???
Beautiful Couch Delivered....... – The couch we ordered looks beautiful.
The best part is, when we got delivered our gorgeous couch in our house, we realized we wanted to change the dimensions of the original we purchased, and voila! They did accommodate me immediately, even though they charged a small fee for the alteration. Could not be happier and would easily recommend their custom furniture to all.
We got to pick our own fabric, leg color, arm style, tufts, and everything we wished. If you are into minimal new age designs, at reasonable prices and you are the kind wherein you want what you want, then this is the store for you...
Excellent Management – I found Furniture Corp as a very well managed company. When I purchased the furniture the lead time given to me was 5-10 business days.
I received a call from them soon after placing the order to confirm the delivery within 5 days itself. On the day of delivery got a call from the driver 15 minutes before the driver came in. : While assembling one of the legs of the chair got damaged so called them and they right away asked for some more details and informed me that the legs will be shipped out directly through UPS within 7 days. Very Quick Response. And guess what next day I got my tracking no. and within 3 days I got the part.
JUST AMAZED TO SEE HOW QUICK AND ACCURATE THEY ARE.
It was an amazing hassle free experience.

Select Furntiure Outlet: Bad Service, Clueless Customer Serv – If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I ordered a dresser and nightstand for my nephew who was returning for his sophomore year at Berkeley. I ordered it on July 21st and asked for delivery on Aug 4, they day my nephew was moving into his apartment. On Aug. 3 they called to say the item was discontinued and nothing would be delivered the next day. 13 days when they say on the order confirmation that they will deliver in 5-10 days??? Why do they have things listed for sale on their web site when they don't have them in stock? Why didn't their system check the inventory when I placed the order to then say the item is out of stock? Why did they take SO LONG TO TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE WHAT I ORDERED?
DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS! They are unprofessional and a sorry excuse of a company.
You might say that my nephew will not die if he doesn't have the exact dresser he wanted on the exact date he wanted. My beef is with a company very inept at communicating with customers, a messed up inventory tracking system, a web site that does not accurately reflect the AVAILABLE items for sale and a completely incompetent customer service department. Called twice and was told I would get an answer on my delivery confirmation before I was told item was out of stock.
A must visit store !! – Pottery barn like furniture! They have very reasonable prices for the quality they have. !! Sofas are customisable into sectionals at a very reasonable cost.
Great selection, GREAT prices! – I bought about 50% of my house furniture from this place, and I couldn't be happier. The selection is extensive, the people are very sweet, and you can save some cash over some of the other establishments in the easy bay/berkeley area. Highly worth a visit.
