Had a terrible dinner Wednesday night. It took 30 minutes to get our drink order, water. It took an hour for our cold spring rolls to be served. When I complained to the hostess/manager, I could not understand what she was saying other than no tip and sorry. They spent the next 20 minutes touching me saying sorry. It was very upsetting especially when they chose to bill me for the whole thing in lieu of comping us for at least the appetizers. The food was poor. I'm never going there again. What a dump!

Their food is the cure for everything! – No matter what ails me, Kim Phung pho or the awesome hot and sour soup cures it. My family of three can eat for about 25$ with leftovers and their wines by the glass start at 4$.

If you haven't been, go now!!

Awesome vermicelli and pho – Kim Phung has great food! We love the spring rolls and crab rangoon. My husband ( who is Japanese and therefore an expert!) thinks the pho is awesome. I always order beef lemongrass vermicelli - delicious! Those are really the only menu items I can vouch for - we always get the same thing!! Great food, really clean restaurant and bathroom, fair prices and very friendly staff.

Tasty Vietnamese Chow found in the Burbs. – Remember all the awards that Kim Phung won from the Chronicle? Well, these are the people who ran the original restaurant on Lamar. Although I live neared the former location, I go to this restaurant because it is so good.

Although I have liked everything I have tried here, I especially like the Pho soups and think they do an excellent job. The staff is friendly and eager to please. My eccentric dining companion, Skatarina, demands lots of attention and they are very happy to give her what she asks for. She practically drinks the fish oil straight!

The prices are good and I think the atmosphere is pleasant. As a native Austinite, it irks me a bit that I have to go to Cedar Park which I have always associated with Hootersville or something ghastly where the Dairy Queen is the cultural center of town. However, I am happy to travel here for great Pho and Vietnamese food. And the drive isn't bad as it's a straight shot by highway. Just get off at the last free exit so as not to be robbed by the useless toll road.

Elegant atmosphere, awesome service! – If you want to take someone to an impressive, nice quiet restaurant this is definitely the place. Tony, my favorite server, always remembers faces and is the most pleasant waitperson I've seen. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant, and the duck spring rolls are my favorite!

The owner is almost always there, and remembers my face each time I come in. I can't wait to go back!

worst pho in town – I eat pho quite frequently at tan tan. The only reason I don't go there as much as I'd like to is because of the distance. I live in cedar park so I dine at kim phung at least once a month. The pho is mediocre at best but my last visit was the worst of them all. The broth did not have any flavor, just the salty, msg tasting flavor that was not flattering. I complained to the waitress of my dislike for the soup explaining that the soup is not as good as it usually is. She responded by making an excuse and walked away, never to be seen again. The manager did not even come by. At this point my two little kids and I could not enjoy our meal, because it simply was not tasty. We ate 25% of our food, paid for the terrible meal and went to go eat at Chick fil A. I will never dine at Kim Phung again... As a matter of fact, I will drive across town to eat my pho now. What a disgrace this place is.

Inexpensive pho soups, vermicelli noodles, Chinese dishes and no frills. – In Short
The restaurant's decor is utilitarian: shopping center Asian with red lanterns and mass-produced artwork. A tiny altar sits by the front door. The place is always crowded with Austin's dedicated pho and noodle fans. The egg rolls feature charcoal-broiled pork with vermicelli noodles and spring rolls are packed with shrimp and veggies. Pho comes with meat, garlic, hot pepper, lemon grass and a heavy sauce.
