NICE PLACE. BUT DEFINATELY OVERATED – I believe I only had a really good time maybe once or twice out of the I would say four or five times that I have gone. I like that ladies are always free and the whole place is very nice but that would be about it for me. If you get there too late, you have to wait not in a line. Actually its not a line. Its a bunch of people crowded around the ropes and the door guy picks whoever he wants to come in. So to avoid that, I would recomend getting there before 10:30 especially if your black. Yea, I said it. I don't really know but it sure does remind me of the movie knocked up. For all white people who saw that movie, it was funny what the door guy said, but in all honestly that is the real life truth. When they do that, best believe not many of US are getting in. So if your black, get there early. Also, there really isnt much room for a dance floor AND the drinks are waaaay too expensive. I asked for a long island and it was more like a watered down short island and the guy charges me 12 dollars for it! WTF?? Another thing I don't care for is the music. Its mainly house and techno and a bunch of old rock songs that they put dance beats to. No rap what so ever. Oh wait, they did play funky cold madena and bust a move lmao!!! Thats not exactly what I wanted to hear. Thats "safe" rap. I asked the dj to play one lil wayne song and he tried to avoid playing it by saying he will play James Brown instead??? Dude, I wasn't even though of. Actually, my parents wasn't even thought of! I understand though that they don't want to play that type of music because they don't want certain type of people(blacks) to come in. But, whatever those certain type of people arnt the only ones that made him a multi platinum artist but moving on... I however would recomend skipping the club part and just hang out in the lobby. The lobby is nice and it actually seems like there is more room there than up in the actual club. And there is a dj playing music and a bar. AND the bathroom is nicer.

Very cool! – My girlfriend and I came down to Dallas to try out the nightlife for a mom's weekend out and to celebrate my 30th. Wow! We arrived around 9 and only waited for about 5 minutes before being asked if we were on the guest list. Thought that was funny as how there was no one in front of us and it was real slow, but we got right in. As we were coming up in the elevator you could hear the music, very cool! The doors opened and viola! a club on the 33rd floor, neon blue lights full of all sorts of types - pretentious, old guys with young girls, couples our age, younger singles...it was all very cool. We spent about $100 on drinks and got a nice hard buzz. The balcony was awesome, glass encased and you could see the traffic below you....33 stories down. The bouncers all made sure we had a good time, dancing with us and chatting with us (I'm sure that was apart of their job, but a nice plus.)

The most surprising thing is the next day our clothes didn't wreak of smoke...really? We both smoked and other smoked around us.

We had an awesome time and would love to go back!

Great view... Great music... Great times! – Started over at Nove Italiano, owned by the same company, and were escorted over to the bar by a member of restaurant management... went right past the folks waiting to get in, VERY VIP... stayed almost 4 hours and had a blast! Recommend either eating at one of the two restaurants, N9NE or Nove, and getting a table reservation at Ghostbar to gain easy entry and VIP service!!

Too pretentious. – The places looks great! Definately chic and modern. Drinks were good and it was definately a fun experience. Downside though....way too pretentious. I can loosen up and have a lot more fun at other downtown bars/lounges. Fuse for example.

Great service, beautiful spot, fun people watching – We stayed at th W hotel last weekend for our 5th anniv. Friday after dinner we decided to pop into Ghost Bar early just to check it out and have a drink. I mean at 9:30pm there was no line (especially for guests) so what the heck.

Was an interesting crowd to watch from the start but when we decided to grab a table for a little bit and time passed - so much fun. From the big hair blondes wanna be, cheesey dudes with popped collars, old guys with young ladies....and some people completely out of place. So much fun to watch it all from a table.

Expect expensive drinks and to pay to sit. But also expect excellent service from the wait staff and management. They treated us right.

One drink turned into a bottle of champagne, then too...we stumbled back to the room almost at 1am.

Beautiful view, and very nice bar. If you can get past the red carpet scene in the parking area and lobby!

Worth the Wait! – So, after hearing all of the "hoop-la" for the past year, I thought I'de check out the fabled "ghostbar". arrived around 10:45 on a Friday night, which most likely wasn't the best idea. We waited for about 20 minutes, which starts to bother you when you notice the "who's who" going strait through the line. Then again, it's my first time, so I can't get upset, right? Once inside the fun began! The room, located 33 stories up, is a lot larger than expected. Drinks, poored with a jigger, are just right and not too steep in price. The crowd was beautiful, with a great mix of people. Not all rich, snotty as expected! We danced on the dance floor located in front of the DJ booth for about three hours until we noticed the lights coming on (because thats how great the music was). So, to all of you who set set your standards WAY TOO high, and expect to be treated like royalty... I suggest you return with the goal of dancing and having a great time, and I'm sure you'll be as satisfied as we were!

Hot people, Great music, and classy enviroment – My first time at Ghost Bar was in October 2007 with a birthday party. The club is classy compared to some of the other night life in Dallas. I had a great time, met a really hot guy who walked up to me and my friends and invited us to join his table. He asked for my number but never called. I think i was a little buzzed at the time.He showed me the outdoor patio, club, and his suite/hotel. The view overlooking the American Airlines was wonderful. We hung out together and before long the club was closing and I had to find my crew, so worried about the ordeal, I forgot about Mark, he was trying to help me find them and once we were all together he had already disappeared. I would love to see him again!

Worst Experience Ever – Two girls out on the town to have fun and we stop at the Ghost Bar. The waitress asked me for my drivers license and credit card to purchase a few martinis. I frowned at giving her both - management policy. After about 45 minutes I realized that I had not recieved either form of id back. I did not see the waitress and thus asked the bartender for my identification back. He could not find it. I asked to see the manager. I would have to wait. So after about two hours, no manager and no one to help me, I went downstairs to speak to the hotel management and they called upstairs. The management explained to me that I had to return tomorrow because the bar manager had gone home for the evening. I was floored. The next day I called and got nowhere. So I traveled down and tried to get upstairs and was stopped by some undercover, black suit. I would have to go outside and wait in line. Again.....a joke. I explained I didn't want entry into the bar, just my id back... oh no. So I went outside, explained the situation again to an undercover black suit. After an hour waiting some other black suit brought down my id and almost didn't give it to me because I didn't have any id to show him...... What a joke!

Spirits float to this see-and-be-seen bar with stunning city views from the top floor of the W Dallas Hotel. – In Short
Casper never had it so good. A private express elevator carries guests skyward to the sleek lounge on the 33rd floor (no, not the 13th) where signature cocktails, ghostinis and ghostitas, pay tribute to the beautiful clientele. Those looking for spiritual activity lounge in the futuristic modern furniture for people (and celebrity) watching. The clear floor of the "ghostdeck," constructed completely of glass, might send anyone afraid of heights to their grave. But, they'll still look cool.

Impressed. – Heard about this place and we had to check it out. The bar is great, the art is impressive and the people dressed well. Great place for Dallas a must see.
