THIS PLACE IS NO MORE, now is west slope bar and grill – West slope is a fun "regular" bar, try it out. Good location and LOTS of space, parking in front and back
Fun and Tasty! – I attended the show with Sean Rouse and some up and coming comic talent and had a blast. CCW has a very comfortable and fun atmosphere, like they're not just in it for the buck but Truly appreciate the comedic arts. My french dip was good and fries cooked to perfection; I saw others getting some monster burgers that also looked great. The audience was kept engaged and many differnt groups were there having fun. I haven't seen a better atmosphere for comedy anywhere. This is a great place to come with a group of friends/family/coworkers but Call ahead and get there early because it is popular and will fill up.
Editorial Review – Comedy club featuring professional stand-ups and open mic nights. Food is also served.
This is a cool local bar with great people – Dude...never mind the moronic statements made by the person below. While the Comedy Club Westside is not your typical club, it is a cool bar just the same. The locals who made up the crowd were very nice, the comics that I met were all good eggs and it was a very fun place. I stayed in the Portland area for almost three weeks over the summer and enjoyed myself. I, too, am a comic and have been to far worse. So if the other reviewer did not like this place, take a trip through the Southeast US and visit some clubs. You'll race back to CCW. I am going to be back through Portland for some R&R and will perform there again on Oct. 29, 2006 at the open mic. There are a lot of hard-working comics looking to practice their craft. Come out and support live comedy and don't knock people who are trying hard.
This "Comedy Club" is a total JOKE! – My husband and I went here last winter and were disappointed to say the least. This place is no more than a dive bar with a black sheet strung up to section off a "comedy" seating area and stage. We left in the middle of the second act. The club is the biggest joke of all.
