If you want an extremely pushy salesman and an insanely rude manager talking down to you, Jack Powell Dodge is your place. We went in to get the trade in value of our car and saw a car that was interesting enough to take a look at. I must have told the salesman 15 times that I wanted to get the trade in value of my car before he actually did. Instead of simply getting the info that I wanted in order to see what I could afford, he kept trying to run my credit. The salesman wasn't rude, he was just very annoying and pushy, more than I've seen when buying any other car that myself or my family or friends have had. THE MANAGER WAS THE COMPLETE WORST PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF MEETING!!! He was rude and even more pushy than the salesman. First off, he was trying to give me a terrible trade in value which was significantly less than what Kelly Blue Book says. Once I told him that the car that I was looking at wasn't the right fit, he got even worse. He started saying that his "guys weren't getting paid while working with us" and that is when we had enough. We ended up just walking away while the manager was yelling things like "you don't know how to buy a car" and "thanks for wasting our time." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How did this joke of a manager get to the position that he is in?! I have never had such horrible customer service at any place in my entire life, let alone a place that I would consider dropping thousands of dollars at! I can go to Best Buy and work with 17 year olds that have better customer service and sales skills than these amateur salesmen did. Unless you specifically enjoy a rude, obnoxious, and pushy sales team that treats their customers with disrespect, you should never go to Jack Powell Dodge. This was the worst car experience myself or my family has ever had and would gladly drive over 100 miles to go to another dealership that can actually act like respectable adults. In regards to the manager's comment of "thanks for wasting our time," I am now happy to have wasted your time considering you definitely wasted mine.
Great price, fast service!! – My SUV needed new shocks and after pricing out the parts and labor at some of my trusted repair shops, I tried Jack Powell's; with the discount coupon, my total repair was quite a bit lower than the other quotes and best of all, I dropped it off on a Friday night and it was done and ready for pickup Saturday afternoon! Matthew (my service writer) was like a magician making it all happen so magically fast, with none of that runaround upselling you get sometimes at big dealerships. He really knows his stuff and was very up-front with me about which parts to order, how much it should all cost, etc. And my shocks are awesome, I can't wait to test them out off-pavement.
Great Customer Service I had an issue with Bob Baker Jeep/Dodge in Carlsbad, it seems that the Service Manager did not want to accept our Service Contract that we purchased for Oil Changes. We are a military family that have a lot of "dodge" friends and have always bragged about Bob Baker. However, we no longer refer them to our friends, we tell them to go to Jack Powell instead. I called them and asked if they would accept the contract and not only did she say YES...anytime, but she was upset at the fact that Bob Baker did not want my business. Yes, Escondido is a trip for us but it is worth the time for No Hassels!!!! Thank you Jack Powell
I don't know about taking my car in for service but I do know that when I called this morning the person in the Parts Department was nothing less than friendly and efficient in looking up my part and ordering it. Very good customer service as far as I can tell.

Purchasing the Dodge Journey was a very positive experience (and enjoyable). Ed Binder and Jason Shifflet were extremely courteous, helpful and very informed about the product. Jack Powell is definitely #1 in the County!

Fixed right the first time – Gary Block is the best service manager. My cars are always done on time and fixed right the first time.
The car sold itself really, but the sales guy, Niel I believe, knew to let the car do the talking. The paperwork guy was nice too and he helped me find a lower interest rate than USAA - which we thought was really good. we talked about how treating people well has rewarded the car lots still hanging around - so props to Jack Powell for that. I did not negotiate the price down at all, which is my main regret. I got carried away by the 6.1 Hemi, figuratively and literally! It's just awesome. Thanks!
