DANGER!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! – DANGER!! CUIDADO!!! Had to have an emergency root canal and this place was the only one who could take me on a Friday. I was examined by the head ENDO guy... but then I was worked on by a young contract dentist who was taking quite a LONG time. The head guy consults with him, then comes in and says I have one root that is totally calcified but I should be fine. He put some temp fillings and sent me on my way. A few days later I went to have a crown put on it at a REAL dentist in Poway. When the temp was taken off, they found an oozing perforation in the root that they couldn't find and she had to extract the tooth.

Do not step foot in this office!! – I give these guys one star because zero is not an option. Worst experience ever and I will not go back. Here is why:

The wait to get in. 45 minutes. This was NOT in the afternoon after schedules had been pushed around and messed up - this was at 7:30 am when they OPENED. No one before me so why the wait?

The x-ray tech took x-rays when I had JUST had them done 2 days ago at their sister office across the street! Why did I need them again? Because they had not gotten them from their partner office less than 1/4 mile away?

The x-rays were badly taken and had to be re-taken before the dentist would talk to me.

I asked the The dentist what he was going to do, and he never told me. Once he just walked out of the room as I was talking to him.

I told him I was nervous, anxious and somewhat terrified. No offer of anti-anxiety pills, gas, whatever. But as I left the front desk receptionist said I should have asked for something and that they routinely prescribe that for anxious patients.

The suction machine was broken and had to be fixed while I lay there with my temp crown off, tooth exposed and mouth open

Novocaine, what Novocaine? He had to do two extra shots after he drilled and I felt sharp pain – TWICE!. He took 3 tries to get the dental dam inserted correctly in the first place and it was poking my cheek, and the plastic was over my nose! So I felt like I couldn’t breathe. He left stuff in my mouth that was painful and poky, the assistant just kept leaving and not assisting as far as I could tell.

There was no concern that there was an ACTUAL PERSON in the chair after the work started. He took the drill out of my mouth while it was still whirring and spinning, knocking against and rattling my bottom teeth like 50 times? He jammed his instruments and fingers in my mouth pushing my lips hard against my teeth and bruising the inside of my lips. He rested his hands or instruments on the protective glasses on my face pushing them into my cheeks. He did not give me the mouth-holdy-open-thingy, so I had to hold my mouth open for over an hour.

The dentist asked for a further 3 x-rays throughout the procedure (So we are talking 3 additional x-rays in the MIDDLE of the procedure with the dental dam in place.)

My anxiety got higher and higher - eventually leading to tears. Of course, no tissues were offered when I was crying, nor apparently any notice of it at all. So I lay there with my ears filling with tears and the protective glasses fogging up 'til I could not even see.

I spent the next 15 minutes just listening to the sound of the drill and a gaggle of at least 4 nurses/techs stand in the hall and loudly discuss their dinner plans, Jersey Shore, and such instead. So unprofessional.

William Walker, DDS and the whole crew at Santee Trolley Center Dentistry should be avoided at all costs. Find someone else in your insurance program even if you have to drive further, and do not let your regular dentist refer you to an endodontis there (which is why I was there.)

I love my dentist! – Love this place! Dr Rygg and Dr Mahtab are the best. I had a crown done in one visit and was painless. The girls in the front figured ut my insurance and my copays s I could get started n my first visit. Dawn the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I was nervouse at first, but after talking to Dawn for a few minutes I felt much more confortable and relaxed. I felt like I was. Visiting a friend. Thank you Town Center Dental.

Best Dentist in San Diego – Had a great time at the dentist today. I don't have dental insurance and I was able to get a full mouth xray and exam for only $39. It's been awhile since I've had a cleaning so they made me an appointment with the hygienist at no additional cost. Everyone really seemed to care about me. I was able to get in and out in 45minutes. Thanks Dr. Morgan. I don't feel so bad about going to the dentist anymore.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - SANTEE Town Center Dental & Ortho – HORRIBLE PLACE! Run, run, run -- as far and as fast as you can in the opposite direction!

The assistant attempted to force a mouth tray into my 8-year-old's mouth that was way too large. My daughter kept saying "ow" but the woman would not quit! I had to tell her to stop! She said "It has to be done and we don't have any smaller ones." and then turned around to try it again! I demanded she stop and I told my daughter to not open her mouth anymore, that it was okay. The tray was OBVIOUSly too large for her little mouth - anyone could see that. Her mouth would not stretch any further, yet the tray was still hitting the outside corner of her mouth! THEN the assistant dropped the tray on the floor AND placed it onto the "clean" tray they were working from!!! Disgusting.

Furthermore, I was told the x-rays would be covered by my insurance company -- but I just got a bill for them! $250 "oops."

BEWARE! The office appears to be nice and upscale. When you walk in, you would never imagine the callous treatment, lack of customer service and HIGH TURNOVER RATE of office employees as well as DENTISTS!

Run Run Run....
