The best place ever!!!! – Guys you really have to check out this place, seriously i think its amazing. I went there last saturday and i had the best time in my life, i was there with 39 friends and all i can say that they have the best hookah, you should try the peach flavor mmmmm sounds goood, their dj was great and the bell dancer came over our table and danced with all of us, i think thats really cool! that was my first time going there and for sure will be going there again and againnnn!
NEVER WILL WE EVER GO THERE AGAIN – WE WENT THERE FOR MY FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY AND MY GIRL FRIEND WAS TOUCHED BY THE PERSON WHO SAYS HES THE OWNER "KHALEK" THAT DOESNT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH OFFERED HER TO GO WITH HIM IN HIS CAR AND TELL HER MY SUV IS RED AND HOT LIKE YOU?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Great Customer Service – Such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. A great place to chill with friends and the waitress Marie was very accomodating and nice. The music was good enough to make you want to get up and dance. I am so glad I chose this lounge opposed to Le Caire for a friend's birthday, the manager and waitstaff were so nice and everything went smoothly considering the reservations were made at the last minute. After spaeaking with the obnoxious manager at Le Caire I quickly decided that I didnt want me and my friends to spend a dime in that place,I am so glad I found this lounge I will definitely go back and recommend it to others!
Awesome night out!! – I'll start off by saying that I've never signed up to write one of these reviews before but we had such a good time here, I felt compelled to do it. I had been checking places out for my boyfriends 30th and really wanted something special kind of a relaxed environment but with a middle eastern, mediterranian feel. I must have looked and called about a dozen places before speaking with someone at Horus. I ended up speaking to the owner, Khaled, and asked him about different options, open bar, vip seating, regular seating he was very patient and great through the whole thing, giving me a ton of different options so that we wouldnt have to put a card down for the whole group that was coming. Needless to say, my boyfriend had a birthday to remember and it was a great night for all and the belly dancer and hookah was an added touch to the evening. If your looking for a vibe that is intimate and dark but you can dance all night if you want to, Horus Lounge is the place to go. Oh and I had to thank Leslie our server for the night as well, she was a doll and really made the night perfect!! As far as the harrassment from the previous review, no one that was in our group that night felt uncomfortable at all, so again it was a great night enjoyed by EVERYONE. Thank you Horus!!
the coolest lounge ever – hello every one. i do recomand you this place. it's my third time going to this lounge and i really love it. i love the fact that it's devided it in two, mainfloor and upstairs, i love the egyptian style, the hookah, and the employees are nice, and the music is awesome. i really like it, and i guess that will be my hangout place
Don't support harassment! – I have been working at horus lounge for over two months. While there the manager has made advances and remarks towards me almost every day. He often asks me to come over to talk to him and puts his hands on my butt. He has also come to a part of the lounge when he knew I was alone, asked me to sit with him, and then tried to kiss me and touch my breasts. He has told me I am lucky that he wants me and that I should. In addition, after work he has sent the other employees home and tried to get me to stay. He then proceeded to try and kiss me with intentions of it going further then that. There was one occasion where I did kiss him because this job is my only source of income and I needed more hours and I felt he would not give them to me if I did not give him what he wanted. I have also been harassed by the owner of the lounge who on one occasion put a tip down my shirt and then pulled me towards him and kissed me. About two weeks ago when I told my manager that I was dating someone so he would stop making advances, he refused to give me more hours as he had promised to give me after I graduated. Since then he has been extremely mean to me, yelling at me for even things he has asked me to do. Last night the situation escalated when he accused me of flirting with someone he was doing business with when I was merely trying to show them we had friendly staff in order to attract their business. I am a very sensitive person, so I proceeded to get upset and cry. When I tried to explain my good intentions, he fired me. It is my belief that once I said I had a boyfriend and when he perceived me to show interest in other men at work, he became angry, cut my hours, and lashed out at me any chance he could.
This abuse does not stop at employees. Friends of mine have been harassed as customers at Horus. Please make the choice to support another business that practices harassment against their employees and customers!
service is slackingg!!! – I almost always have had a great experience with Horus, but if you are planning on going here MAKE RESERVATIONS or they will not even look at you. I went here twice in one month, and the service here was very poor. the guy said to wait as he sets a table up for us: the "arrangement" which consisted of two folding chairs, and a small round stand, was set right next to the cashier. i know, how classy right? especially if you're paying a minimum for each person, plus the additonal service charge they so generously calculate into their bill.
Overall tip: make reservations, or bring your own folding chair.
Fun, and cheap for groups – I've gone to horus 3 times, and it's just as much fun everytime. It's a dark,exotic-looking lounge with 2 floors. They blast mostly hip-hop music. The waiters are pretty friendly and the dj and owner are really nice. They always come and help us with our hookah. It's so much fun, I've gone with a group of 4-11 people each time. It's really intimate, private and cozy. The hookah is soooo cheap ($15 to split b/w group). We got 2 to split b/w 11 people and it came to less than five bucks each. Fun if you want somewhere to go w/o spending too much money.
