travesty. I've used this place once and I know patrons who used this place. Spot is not to be trusted with your dog. The staff varies from knowledgeable and courteous, to obtuse, cruel and abusive (towards YOUR dog. I have seen this with my own eyes on their cameras). It's no wonder this place hasn't been shut down yet. One can only hope it comes soon.

RUN from SPOT! If you love your dog do not drop them off at. RUN from SPOT! If you love your dog do not drop them off at SPOT.

We pulled our dog from SPOT. Our dog was hurt three times in three weeks and once had to be seen by our vet due to her injury. One of the handlers lied about a conversation she had with us regarding one of the dog fights that occured. The owner wouldn't refund any of our annual membership money.

They clearly do not have a responsible staff and if this handler lied about a conversation who knows what else she lies about.

Best Doggy Care in NY. I have been a customer since we got our dog Pixie two years ago. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything is at the Paw Stop - the air smells fresh (when's the last time you experienced that at a NY doggy daycare) and there is no dirt, dust or mess to be seen anywhere. Staff members are quick to clean up after the dogs in the daycare room.

It's clear that owner Dan Rubenstein loves dogs and has a high level of commitment to providing good care for the dogs, good customer service for the humans, and to being a responsible business owner and neighbor. I've noticed that Dan and his staff are always on the lookout for new products and services to provide, and ways to support our community (such as their efforts to improve our local dog park).

Thanks to the obedience training Pixie and I did with Dan, I was able to better understand dog behavior, and get to know my own dog much better. Dan is often at the store when we visit, and I appreciate his availability to his customers.

The staff at the Paw Stop have been unfailingly kind and helpful. I see the occasional new face, but most of Dan's employees have been with him as long as I've been a customer.

I love that there is a huge plate glass window dividing the store and the daycare room, and that customers are welcome to either stop in to watch their dog play, or can watch their dog remotely using the webcam.

The highest compliment I can pay to the Paw Stop is that Pixie is always excited to visit. I feel confident that when she is there, she is with people who care about her, and she is having fun. It's wonderful to have the Paw Stop a short walk away, ready to answer our every need. Our neighborhood is very fortunate to have a business here that is truly committed to providing the best care for our dogs.

The Best Place For Your Best Friend!. I am a self professed animal lover - and my baby Oscar (now 10 months) is the most important thing to me in the world (well he's tied with my husband I suppose). If you're like me, and couldn't imagine leaving your pup with just anyone, then The Paw Stop is for you.

I struggled with leaving Oscar at home while we were at work, or sending him off to daycare where I thought I wouldn't know what was going on, or how he was being treated. After visiting a number of doggie daycares, we decided to give The Paw Stop a try and have been very happy ever since.

I love:

-the live webcams so you can check in on them (and the Staff) whenever you like

-all the staff - they're so friendly and truly caring of the animals

-the pupply play time session - great for socialization

-on-site obedience classes

-private training classes in your home when little problems crop up

-home pick-up and drop-offs - just in case!

-the speical events they host - such as photos with the Easter Bunny, animal massage workshops etc.

-on-site vetrinarian who can keep your pup up to date on shots, routine vet visits etc.

The ONLY thing I would change

-I would love it if they included one quick around the block relief walk when the dog stays for the whole day of daycare. They are available for purchase though, if you are interested, so it's not really something that's missing.

I also like that if we ever have to go away overnight Oscar can stay in a place that he is very comfortable in.

Well, if you're reading this review you're probably considering sending your pup to daycare. Reading what others say is only going to get you so far. So, why don't you just try it out for yourself ... this way you won't have to rely on other people's opinions, but can trust your own.

Paw Stop - Home away from Home!. If you are one of those overprotective parents who doesn?t trust many people with your baby, this is the Paw Stop is the place for you! I have been sending my boy to the Paw Stop since he was a pup, for the past 2 years. Quite honestly I?m not sure how other parents don?t send their dogs to the daycare at least some days, for they are social creatures and this is the place for them to socialize in a safe & clean environment. Before I found the Paw Stop I have went to many places around and they were too stinky, too small or not enough light. I nearly gave up on my search when I accidently ran in to someone who told me about the Paw Stop!! And there it was, clean, friendly and the fact that I was able to come with him on Saturday (pup day hour) to see how he plays before I actually committed made all the difference in the world. Plus I get to watch my baby play on the cam's when I have a moment and miss him terribly. So here we are 2years later and I can?t even keep him at home a day during the week because he misses going there. He loves his handler as much as he loves mummy, and looks for the truck when he gets the morning walk. That in itself makes mummy happy!

Awesome Place, Caring People. I have been a customer of The Paw Stop for about two years, and I wholeheartedly recommend it without any reservations whatsoever. As for my dog, if he gets within blocks of the store he tries to get me to go there -- so he clearly recommends it too!

I have used their daycare, boarding, training, grooming and other services, and have had only excellent results. The staff is knowledgeable and professional, and contrary to other postings here, everyone there knows me by name. They all truly care for and love working with animals. That's not just me saying that, my dog clearly has the same opinion. If he was treated at all bad, it would show-- more than that, he wouldn't get excited just from being near the Paw Stop. His breed is very sensitive to negative treatment, and it would be clearly evident if he were not treated well.

Unfortunately you have indiviuduals who will make it their life's work to make others miserable or feel some sense of power and control by posting baseless and/or overblown rantings, rumors or lies. These are the same people that teachers can't stand and all retailers dread -- and the rest of us simply try to avoid at all costs.

Just to be clear, I have no affiliation with the Paw Stop. I am just a very satisfied customer who couldn't stand by and watch a quaility, caring and professional establishment like the Paw Stop -- and everyone there -- be unjustfiably skewered by someone who obviously has their own personal agenda or emotional problems.

In the end, judge them for yourself. Do what I did -- visit the store, spend time talking to the staff and get to know them and the environment. If you care about your pet, it's the least you can do. You will undoubtly find what I found -- a group of caring, dedicated professionals and a clean, well equiped, exceptional facility, owned and operated by someone who truly loves animals. Just ask him his personal story of why he got into the business -- you'll see what I mean.

Better than all the rest. This is honestly one of the best dog daycare facilities in manhattan. Anyone who claims that either they or their dog was treated with anything other that the utmost compassion, is either deceitful or unfortunately confused. I have been there plent y of times and everything is always clean and someone is always with the dogs feeding them, cuddling, or cleaning up after them. They were also really knowledgable and patient with me when I first came in. They made sure I was comfortable with all the arrangements, and that my dog had all the required shots and exams, and even brought him into the room for a trial to make sure he'd be okay. If you are at all concerned just go there. They answered all my questions and I got to watch how they work. They won't pressure and you can honestly stay in the store for as long as you want until you feel confident.

The best place to go in Tribeca. My dog Buddy has been going to the Paw Stop on a daily basis for just over 4 months. Before we moved to the neighborhood, he had been going to the same place for almost 6 years, so I was admittedly a bit nervous about getting started at a new place. After visiting several facilities in Tribeca, it was clear to me that the Paw Stop was by far the best choice. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, thoughtful and compassionate, and their pricing and policies are both fair and comprehensive. I believe the staff has a genuine affection for my dog, which has helped me to feel more than comfortable with the services in a very short period of time. In addition to regular day care, Buddy has boarded there two times for a period of several days quite comfortably. An incident during one day care session involving my dog and another at the facility, although unfortunate, was handled swiftly and with great care and concern by the staff. My dog is thrilled to be taken there every morning and I really feel as if the staff is genuinely happy to see him (and me). I came to the Paw Stop with very high expectations of what a doggie day care should be, and I am happy to say that I have had those expectations met here.

Only 1 place for my best friend....and it is the PAWSTOP!. Going to Pawstop for about 2 years now. They are the very best at what they do. Would never think of taking my dog anywhere else. The dedication and individual care he gets is light years above what other places do. (and yes that means Biscuits and Bath) very friendly staff and very very capable of taking care of him. Some places just follow the dogs around with a mop...they actually take the time to play with all the dogs, making sure they are fed and giving them the rest when needed after meals.Leaving him for vacations, Grooming and Baths are never a problem. Ability to watch him from a web camera is a plus!! Great Job to the Pawstop!!!! I have been to others beforehand and no one comes near you in taking care of my pet and most of all my friend!

just as good as home. I have been taking my dog Jello to The Paw Stop since it opened. She loves it. I love it. Jello goes in with her tail wagging, can't wait to say hi to the people and to see which of her dog friends are there.

The people are caring and observant. They pay attention to the dogs and what they are doing, and are active in their play. They don't just stand off to the side with the mop. They play, they pet them, they treat them like they are their own dogs.

Once Jello and another dog got a bit rambunkious and my dog got a small cut on her ear. (kids!). I received a call on my cell telling me about it, saying they cleaned and put anti-bacterial cream on the cut, and asked if I wanted her taken to the vet. I declined the vet visit, I took their word that it wasn't a big cut, and was told she and the other dog were being given time-outs. When I picked her up I was again told about the cut, asked if I thought she seemed alright, they were more worried than I was. The next day I got another phone call asking how Jello was. These people care! They don't try to ignore problems, they try to fix them.

I absolute faith that my dog, whom I have raised since she was 6 weeks old and is my baby, is very well taken care of. And even more proof is how much she loves being there, and how tired she is when she comes home. She is worn out from all of the play.

The Paw Stop is my number one choice for doggie day care.
