Decline!. We used the last of our groupons yesterday. EDL has been a favorite for us, but yesterday was disappointing! And they tacked on a 20% gratuity for our party of two. Our server, Kate, was overwhelmed and irritated (it looked like there were lots of Half Off Depot redemptions happening as well), and they’ve cut the portions significantly. We received a child’s handful of the sherry battered green beans compared to the heaping mountain of happy we used to receive. Boo! The manager was curt and detached, but the host (a charming young Ken doll of a fellow) was attentive and pleasant. I'll be hard-pressed to return to this location. We'll have to stick with Miami Circle.
Would not return. Drinks were expensive, $9 for a Marguerita? Really? Our waitress didn't seem to care about serving. After our meal and a request for a second drink, we waited 15 minutes before she returned to ask if we wanted the tab, never realized she forgot our drink order. Would not go back again. Tab was hefty for what we ordered.
Latin night is tight.
For about the past 4 months I have been attending Latin Night every Thursday night. There may be a 30-45 minute wait to be seated, depending on what time you get there, but you can call ahead and make reservations. And to me Thursday nights are the best.
Eclipse Di Luna features Latin Night every Thursday in which they have a live DJ who plays a good mix of salsa, bachata and merengue. The dance floor is not too big, but the crowd really packs it in and the music they play is great to dance to.
One of their best features is that they serve pitchers of mojitos in a range of flavors from classic to coconut and mango. I've yet to find another tapas bar in town that serves them by the pitcher. And their's are some of the best I've ever had. The sangria is really good as well.
They also serve a really great variety of tapas. I recommend the calamari which is about $5.25. I have also tried the patatas bravas($3.75) and the plantains which both are really awesome.
This is a great place to go unwind on a Thursday night especially if you like to dance and see a culturally diverse crowd of lots of beautiful people from Atlanta.
Whats with Atlanta and the repeat performance. I just came back from the restaurant and spent 45 dollars on some really awful, microwaved piece of crap. This was my second time, first time when I went to this place with my wife (on her recommendation), food was costly but so amazing that I recommend it to my Spanish friend, pork belly was out of this world. But, I guess I spoke too early, this time when we went there, pork belly was burnt and all dry (including other stuff). When asked by the waiter (who claimed he was new to the place), my wife tried to explain him about the food, but he was not in mood to listen. If you can't listen, then don't patronize us by asking if we like the food. Well the bottom line is that, this was our last time and we not going there again.
Fun place. Fun and funky atmosphere...good bar for happy hour, spacious dining room and nice outdoor courtyard patio. Must try the battered and fried green beans and the fried goat cheese spheres in honey. Seared tuna and trout dish were not bad. Stay away from the vegetarian pizza (veggies tasted like pickles). Overall fun place with lots of variety in the menu. I would definitely come back.
Great food, but loud and small portions.
I was excited to try this restaurant because it is close to home and work and I love tapas. The food and drinks were very delicous and the service was great however our complaints may keep us from going back.
First off the restaurant advertises itself as a romantic spot, however, it is SOOO loud inside that my husband and I had to yell at one another throughout dinner. I understand that it becomes a bar/dance club at night, but we were there long before that started (7:30pm) and I think some plush wall coverings and curtains would help absorb some the noise significantly and allow diners to enjoy their meal and conversation.
Second, the place is so dark that even the little candle on our table didn't allow us to read our menu. I'm all for romantic lighting, but if its so dark that you can't read the menu, what is the point?
And finally, I love tapas and understand the concept, but a few bites, needs to be a few bites. Several of the things we ordered were literally just one bite for each of us. If I am paying $4-6 for something, I expect to at least get a couple bites per person out of the dish.
We may go back, but I think it will be more for the drinks and dancing after we have dinner elsewhere.
Very Nice Place. I went there with an Armenian friend. They knew that he was Armenian because we kinda of chat with the Turkish manager and the waitress, and they were very nice to us. Also we didnt like one of the tapas and they took it off the bill even though we didnt expect them to. The food and the service was awesome. Great ambiance and good music... I think you have some issues Mr. Mherkules.
HORRIBLE MANAGER.
We were treated horribly !!
Me and my girlfriend were there recently to have a few drinks. I live across the street and so have been to this place several times before. As we ordered our drinks, a few gentlemen starting talking to us. They were visiting businessmen. We had short conversation but they were nice and offered to pay for our drinks, and told the bartender that they will pick the tab for the drinks we were having and the next one as well.
Well, by they left after a while and me and my girlfriend ordered another round of drinks (white Zin, nothing too dizzy). I ordered another Zin afterwards. So in all we had 5 drinks. Around 11pm we were ready to leave and asked for my tab to be closed. He brought me my bill which charged me for 3 drinks. I was a bit perplexed and asked him whether the gentleman before me paid for the first 4 drinks or not. In the middle of our conversation, the manager barged in and even before hearing the whole thing started threatening us " You have to pay or else I will CALL THE COPS" . We were dumbfounded !!! Its not that we were two barely legal girls out drinking. I am a professional lady in my 30s, its not like paying for a couple of drinks matter anything to me. The manager did not even WANT to listen to us and basically wanted to use threat to resolve the issue.
Unfortunately we are Never going to return and None of my friends are either. I would strongly advise you to go next door to the newly opened Twisted Taco to get a drink.
That manager NEEDS to GO.
Do not go there!. The food is ok, sometimes they bring it cold but can't really complain about it. The staff is really rude. The Turkish manager and some of their Turkish servers doesn't really like to see Armenians around. I was treated like a piece of s**t by the Turkish waitress, and wanted to talk to the manager about it. Instead of warning the waitress, the manager kicked me out of the restaurant. Sorry, but I won't be back. And I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place.
Horrible. Went with 7 friends for a great dinner. Told the server that we wanted 5 to 6 tapas. He took it upon himself to order 17 dishes for us. The food continued to come to our table even after we said that we didn't order them. They continued to set the food at the end of the table. The server told us that we would have to pay for the food because the couldn't tell the manager. He didn't want to get fired. After haggling for over an hour about the food (that got thrown away), the manager finally took agreed that the food should be taken off the bill. She only did this after we continued to argue that we didn't order or eat the food.
