Good Atmosphere and food – I've been going for last 5 years and the place has sustained its service and reputation. Have done private activities in the rooms they have and we have been very pleased with service and activities. The price is reasonable to the expectation of fine dining and they will cater to you. bon apetite!

good food: great service – I've been here a few times and it has been good. The last time I was here with my coworkers I was maybe hoping for a great experience. Well I got it. Our waitress, her name was Chantel, was amazing. She made our entire group feel special from the moment we arrived. From the beginning to the end our experience was one that compares to the best of the best. We will definitely be back for the food and espically for the great service.

Don't go if you expect good customer service!!! – Most Rude Experience Ever! Although my limited reviews written for various Dallas dining experiences tend to be quite favorable, I'm sad to report this is a first for me. After entering the restaurant and sitting at a table in the bar area with my wife and another couple, we were approached by the manager and told we must move because the table was already reserved for another group. THIS IS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SECTION!!! On top of that, there was no sign on the table indicating it was reserved so we opted to take it. Not only did the manager tell us we must move, he made no effort to identify another table for us or suggest an alternative solution. I dine each week at steakhouses in Dallas, generally inviting surgeons (my customers) to accomany me, and this place is scratched off my list,. I suggest you do the same unless customer service is of no importance to you as there are plenty of great steak & seafood restaurants in Dallas who do take care of their customers. I apologize in advance if I offend anyone with this review; however, I feel compelled to share this negative experience with the hope that it won't happen to other groups looking for an enjoyable evening out with either family, friends or customers

Comfortable atmosphere, good food – Steak houses can be stuffy, but the Grill on the Alley is just the opposite. You're greeted the moment you walk in the door and everyone is friendly. The wait staff know the menu well and can make recommendations. We dined on a Sunday evening and were fortunate to be there for "prime rib Sunday." This is not your ordinary prime rib!!! The meat was cooked perfectly (and it's HUGE) and better than anything we've had anywhere else - ever. The Lobster martini appetizer is just heavenly. Bread service comes with a very flavorful red/green pepper salsa. The key lime pie alone is worth the trip to The Grill. You can walk off your meal inside the beautiful Galleria shopping center. Pure heaven.

not quite what I expected, but not bad at all......... – I am frequent shopper at the Galleria and was anxious as the restaurant was being constructed to see what the experience would be like. A month after the opening of the restaurant I went on a date to check it out. As we walked through the front entrance we were greeted with friendly eager service and asked was this our first time. After I answered yes, we were taken on a brief tour and seated among the beautiful decor. I anxiously looked at the menu while listening to the informative waiter discuss favorite wines and martini's. The waiter was very attentive adn helpful and made the experience enjoyable. The menu was very detailed, however it was a bit pricier than I (well my date) had anticipated. For two, with martiinis, we spent aprox. $115.00. I had a steak which on a scale of 1 to 10, would be a 8.5. My date had the spare ribs which were seasoned well and very tender. If pricing was a little cheaper, this would be a premier dining spot that is attached to a mall.

Didn't even get to eat the food – Unfortunately I can't even give a review on the food because we never got that far. We saw the Grill on the Alley as we entered the parking lot for the Galleria Mall and decided to try it. After grabbing a coffee from Nordstrom we headed towards the restaurant. We walked in and were greeted by one of the waitstaff and we asked to see a menu, he cheerily replied "sure, but once you see the menue, you'll want to stay" and then proceeded to tell us where the hostess stand was if we did. Of course the menu looked delicious and we walked over to the hostess stand to get a table. Before we could even speak to a hostess, a man in a suit (who appeared to be a manager) asked if he could help us. I replied "yes, two for lunch". After being looked up and down he asked if we were from around here (totally opposite behavior of the cheery waiter). After replying that we weren't he stated something about an open container law in Texas. We had our clearly marked coffee cups from Nordstrom in our hands and apparently this was a problem because he states "I don't know if that's really coffee you have in there" (Please, it was noon on a Monday). He suggested we go finish our coffee on there patio and then come back in. I was appaled at his snobbish behavior and the way he treated potential customers (not to mention it was my birthday). We may not have been dressed up (it was lunch after all), but we certainly weren't dressed like the rif raf he treated us as. We left the restaurant a little in shock and decided to go to a friendlier place in the mall and had a great time and meal at Mi Cocina instead WITH our coffees in hand. I wouldn't suggest this stuck up establishment to anyone.

An Art Deco motif provides the backdrop for upscale American food at this Dallas Galleria restaurant. – In Short
The decor celebrates the talents of Texas celebrities from film, television, sports, and business with displayed memorabilia. Grill specialties include comfort food staples such as chicken potpie, meat loaf and braised short ribs. Good things come in martini glasses at the Grill; order a signature martini from the bar or try a lobster martini for starters. If your stomach still has room, order dessert: the strawberry shortcake and tapioca pie taste homemade.
