Authentic French Dining Experience in NY – As you walk through the door you are immediately transported to a cafe in France. The atmosphere and service are very laid back. The wait service was friendly if a little slow. It was a totally relaxing experience. But the food, so rich and tasty, also very French. I loved the Gratinee A L'oignon and Papillotte. The crepes, mousse, creme brulee, and other desserts are rich and memorable. I would recommend this place for a date or to relax on your own.

Delicious breakfast all day long – I have been going here for several years now and hail it as one of my favorite places for brunch. I love that it makes me feel like I'm back in Paris and that the food is great. Try the out of this world french toast or the oeuf maison, which comes with the rock star ratatouille. If you're in the mood for something more savory try the Merguez sandwich. Brunch gets busy so expect to wait for a table. I do not recommend it for brunch for a group unless you get there early.

The kitchen is out in the open and it's pretty small, which makes the fact that their menu is pretty extensive all the more impressive.

Agh! It seemed like a great place..... – We craved for a french dinner, found this place, ordered the chicken leg and the tilapia, both very overcooked. The nice atmosphere could have smoothed that over if not for a little baby rat running around. The waitresses were very ashamed which would make me not want to share this review, but when the manager came out and tried to "handle" the situation by telling me to stop drawing the other customer's attention to the rat.... I decided that I had little sympathy for the establishment. This on top of overcooked, overpriced food - a shame! And I am calling the public health department. Ratatouille - sorry, I still don't want you near my food.

Crepes to die for – I like this place very much. Much more authentic than the other french places in the neighborhood. Some of the staff are a bit stuck up though

Funky cafe filled with creative types. Great food with plenty of daily specials to choose from – Enter le Grainne and you feel like you're in France. It's usually crowded at lunch with people from the nearby art galleries. I usually order their crepes with a side salad (try the spicy sausage and goat cheese crepe). They also have daily specials ranging from seafood to pastas. Their desserts are also very good.

Favorite Brunch Spot – Great NY brunch spot without the wait. I love this place. I take my mom here by request every time she visits me in the city. Their sandwiches and omelet are first rate. Their cappuccino is big, frothy and well... perfect. The setting is relaxed. The food comes quickly, and I've never had any problems with the service. Also, its right across the street from New York's best bakery (Billy's Bakery) so if crepes aren't your thing (the crepes here are not to be missed though) you can walk right across the street for dessert.

Nice, casual French restaurant – We found this restaurant while walking in the area. Very pleasant decor. It felt a lot like being in France - I half expected the waitress to have a French accent. The room is small and a bit crowded, and rather noisy. There's a wide variety of reasonably priced food. The presentation was very nice, we admired many of the dishes going by. Definitely recommended.

Editorial Review – Crepes both sweet and savory, escargot and quiche Lorraine are popular menu items at this breezy French brasserie.
