The physical care is excellent – Maybe it's just this particular person. But I have received a few phone calls from her supervisor, saying that the aide was complaining that there was not enough food in the house for her to eat. The three of us asked her on more than one occasion what specifically she wanted, but we never really got an answer out of her. So I've been stocking the fridge and pantry with food, I've had to throw out a lot of it. She also complained about the tv being too loud. The person she is caring for is 96 years old and could never hear well, this only occurred once with the tv, now it's a major issue with her. I've tried to talk to her about other things, but I just can't get her to communicate anything to me. People have to realize that these kinds of situations are difficult for everyone involved, this is a live-in health aide we have. It must be difficult to be away from your family for such long periods of time, but if something is bothering you, speak up. Don't go all passive/agressive. I don't like hearing complaints from third parties. We may have to do this in shifts now.

a thief in your home in exchange for "care" – If you are thinking about letting bayada care for your loved one as a home health aide, first hide your toilet paper then read.

My mother is a client of Bayada. Before I write about her current situation, I do have to say that she has had a one decent health aide that was quite an amiable, courteous, woman which no longer works with her.

Her current aide is a thief, she's stolen TOILET PAPER.. and lied about it. I don't understand how one can get a job that requires you to care for a person, and steal. It makes no sense.

I no longer live at home, but I did leave quite a bit of my MAC cosmetic collection behind the medicine cabinet. lo and behold 3/4 of my lip glosses have been used. umm How in the world do you use lipgloss that belonged to another on your own mouth without knowing what germs are on it? I've also had mascara stolen as well.

Aside from the thievery, this one particular health aide, is always LATE, while she is supposed to be taking care of the patient she is running around the apartment building socializing with the doormen, and building staff, she drinks ALCOHOL on the job (I have photographic proof).

She is constantly yelling at her son on the cellphone calling him a fat pig.

I've pleaded with my mother to have this lady replaced, but she suffers through the stealing, lying, lateness, and absurdity, all because her aide takes good care of her.

I am very sad about this situation. And to be fair she did have a good upstanding lady as a home health aide that left for a better job.
