Not a fan... – In all fairness I've only been to Home once, and I didn't stay long. I was immediately disgusted by the fact that they were searching bags and patting everyone down before entering the club. This may be a safety precaution, but as another review mentioned, it doesn't say much about their clientele. I felt like I was visiting a prison. The club's decor was nice and their Tuesday night DJ was good. However, I found the crowd disappointing and distasteful. I decided to leave and go to Marquee where I had a much more fabulous time. I plan on avoiding Home in the future.
Don't go. Just don't go. – I went to Home on a Friday night for a party promoting a new tequila. We had no problems getting in as all guest names were on the list. As a place for a private party, it was fine. However, once the regular club goers started rolling in and the DJ started spinning, things went downhill very quickly. I think you can tell a lot about a club from the clientele and the music, and this was clearly a club where people go because they can't get in anywhere else. We had a friend come in late who went through a very thorough body search. Apparently, this is required for all club goers....male and female. What are they searching for?!? And what does that say about the clientele? The music was also terrible, so a girlfriend and I wanted to step outside for some fresh air. Once we got downstairs we could see that it was pouring out. We turned to head back upstairs and all manner of chaos broke out. My girlfriend and I had bouncers all over us screaming that we have to get searched to go back in. I was dumbfounded as we had not set one foot outside the door and they all knew that. They started pushing us and screaming at us and I was trying to tell the she-gorilla that started the drama that I needed to get my friends and did not see why I would have to stand in line to get searched when she knew I had not left. At this moment she threw us out. Um. Ok. Obviously, we have a bit of a problem with management control. I realize clubs and bouncers can get a little out of hand with the door policy, but seriously, this place is a joke. It is definitely not worth your time, unless you are completely desperate and can't get in anywhere else. The one thing about this place is that everyone gets in after they are searched.
Club Home – I was invited to Club "Home" from a dear friend of mine. I must say that the reviews I had read before heading to the club were pretty accurate. The bouncers are A^%$holes, the Fugly scary looking pasty shemale that lets the people in is a TOTAL d&^k. My friend spent over $2k, thats right $2,000 on her day and they only gave her a minimum space in the sitting area. Plus, they asked some of our party members to move bcuz another party was coming to sit down as well. Mind you our area was not big to begin with. The only good thing I can say about the place is that it is really nicely decorated on the inside. NOT TO MENTION!! the grouchy a*s menapausic old lady thats supposed to be helpful in the bathroom with her stale f#*ckin mints was the only sour skank and then really expected us to tip her after her lovely service. She sure shot us a look when we just left the bathroom without hooking up with her undeserved tip.
not worth going to this joint AT ALL!!!!!!
Sorry club HOME but you need new managemant in that place or the employees should go to a training class to learn how to bring business in NOT OUT!!!!!!!!!
Overrated but it used to be really good.. – I've been going to Home for about two years and I remember having enjoyable times. Now, I don't frequent this place as much because to tell you the truth, it just isn't up to par anymore. I remember then my girls and I would go to Home anytime on Weds-Sats and we were guaranteed a good time... My bestfriend had her birthday thrown here lastyear for her by our bosses and we ended up buying 8 bottles throughout the night and were overcharged at the end of the night, the doorguys were hassling us to buy more which was extremely unfair and should be illegal for the amount of alcohol we would have to drink. There was around 15 of us. I used to work for the service industry and usually we were allowed to give customers a comp bottle of cheap champagne or something... but we received no such treatment. They wouldnt even let the celebrant's boyfriend in because they refused to believe a trendy socialite white girl would ever go out with a Spanish guy in sneakers and baggy jeans. I am so glad they did away with that doorguy... I could not figure out whether or not it was a man or something in drag. Once in a while, we go to Home and it just isnt as fun as it used to be... It's sad to see a club die out so early...
Fun night of dancing:) – I've been to HOME 7-8 times and have always had a good time - good music mix and good-looking crowd. That being said, it's a nice place to have a few cocktails and shake your tail-feather, however, it might be hard for large (guy-heavy) groups to get past the bouncers, if they're not planning on shelling out big $$$ on bottle service. Good looking girls, as is the case in all clubs, get in without problems, so if you're out with a big group, make sure you have more than a few of those in tow.
agree with dont waste your time – I would have to agree that my experience at this club was lousy! Not only was it expensive, but it was crowded and the drinks were lame, not worth the money. The bartenders and the bouncers were not very friendly and I know that I would defenitely not return.
If you're a dude, make sure you're buying bottles on the weekends – Home has a pretty good crowd on Fridays. However, to maximize fun, bring a group of friends. Unfortunately, like most clubs in the area, the owners are trying to make the most money possible by selling bottles to any Joe B*** who has the funds. This translates into a bunch of frumpy, youngish finance type guys who ooze boredom, which could be a plus if that's your dating niche. For regular guys not trying to buy a bottle, you better come with a lot of girls OR have enough swagger and confidence to get past the bouncer.
It puts the lotion on the skin... – First off, it's not the worst place to go. Still, the doorman bore an eerie resemblance to "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs. Otherwise, the music was ok (mix of everything on Saturday), the drinks were fairly strong, and the scene was crowded. Go to the back room if you can, much better atmosphere.
Don't waste your time – Terrible service and average drinks. The bartender even put items that we did not order in our bill and refused to take it off even after we had managed to prove that we didn't order them.
