Nice and affordable Thai – They have good sized portions especially for the price. So far I've tried the Glass Noodles with crispy duck and the Masaman with Salmon. Their curry had a really nice flavor and the crispy duck was actually crispy! All in all I would definitely recommend it. It is the best Thai food I've had in a long time.
impressed – I love this place. It was the best thing about moving to Park slope when. When I moved out of the neighborhood I was so excited they still delivered to my area. I think this is the most delicious Thai food I've found in Brooklyn! I've sampled both vegetarian and meat dishes and several appetizers and have never been disappointed. Portion size is very generous. The service is absolutely fantastic. I have to say their Pad Thai and mix seafood with basil sauce are very amazing for me.
Perfect Thai Food in Slope. – I'm glad to have such a nice thai restaurant, MANGO around my neighborhood. I order from them very often. The taste of their food is just perfectly fine, such as "Golden Curry Puffs", "Corn Patties", "Coconut Crusted Shrimp" and much more. I believe those are the most popular appetizers for the house. They are awesomely delicious with or without those dipping sauces, crispy and yummy. Although this is a tiny little thai place, it certainly has its authentic flavor. Reading from the last review, "my kitchen in much bigger than this place!" appears for an attitude. I mean why do we have to care for a small tiny restaurant when they have good quality food and no doubt, this customer could have had a bad day. Perhaps he/she wasn't up for thai food on that day. Honestly, it's worth a try at this MANGO thai place. I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip there.
Horrible.. Stay away!!!! – So i decided to give this place a try since i eat at the same thai places all the time. I heard about this place from a friend. So i went there it was soooo small, my kitchen in much bigger than this place! i decided to get the coconut crusted shrimp with mango salsa and duck salad with chili lime sauce. The coconut crusted shrimp has no flavor at all what brings out the flavor is the mango salsa when you dip it in. it was more like FRIED coconut shrimp instead of coconut, didn't taste the coconut at all! Now, the duck salad, the most disgusting salad i ever had! the duck pieces they gave was mostly fat, found like 1-2 meat sturdy pieces with no fat at all. The sauce tasted like straight up vinegar when they wrote on the menu and it was "Chili lime sauce" now i know what this sauce tastes like because the restaurants i go to all the time i get their duck salads and the sauces taste very good and the same but this place's sauce was out of this world in a bad way. i felt like i was eating grass with vinegar poured all over it. I couldnt even bear to eat half of it die the the taste, and i was very hungry! On the other hand my friend got their curry, she liked it a lot! i don't eat spicy so i didn't try. the conclusion i came up with is maybe this place is somewhat good and i just got bad luck choosing the wrong things. but as far as my experience there its definitely a 0 out 10.
Great Thai Food – Mango is a solid Thai restaurant, I go there at least once a week and I do not reside in the area. The food is delicious, less oily and is not as sloppy as other thai restaurants that are similarly priced. Also the food service is usually quick. Great quick bite (drunken noodle and basil stir fry are my favorites).
Less than Decent Thai Food at Affordable Prices – This is a review for take out food only. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, vegetables with garlic sauce, fried tofu and fried spring rolls. While the total was only 26 dollars the fact that the vegetables were between cool and cold with little seasoning and the fried tofu was practically inedible meant that 13 of those dollars were wasted. I picked up the delivery right on time , so that is no explanation. I will not order from here again.
Park Slope Thai spot attempts to woo the dine-in crowd with a mod flair and ambience. – In Short
This Thai restaurant in Park Slope tries its best to lure locals with loungy decor and spaced-out trance music. And though the room often sits empty, Mango's curries, noodles, and wok dishes still get carted away on delivery bikes at ravenous speed. The kitchen also branches out with "specialties" like crab-fried rice with orange sauce and the Brooklyn Basil--a busy stir-fry of squid, mussels, onion, basil and roasted chile sauce. If you do decide to eat in, you'll be well-attended, and in summer months there's a breezy patio out back.
best thai food in Brooklyn, like seriously. – I have probably been to EVERY thai restaurant in Brooklyn. How different can Chicken pad thai taste right? Trust me, this place has the best thai food, it is not crowded and loud like SONG is (if your looking to have a loud fun night out and not being able to hear eachother across the room). Mango is very dim lite, romantic, and a great place to just go! the service is awesome and your food is ready quick... I recently went there with my bf, we ordered appetizer, main course and drinks, under 30 bucks!! really really great place... and I am the pickiest eater ever, and I get an upset stomach over EVERYTHING.
Authentic Thai Cuisine – We visited Mango Thai for the first time and loved it. The cuisine is similiar to what I experienced when on holiday in Thailand. The servers and atmosphere were warm , friendly and inviting. It was a wonderful experience and a great find in Park Slope. It was worth the almost 3 hour drive to Brooklyn from Jim Thorpe PA! We will be back when in Brooklyn again.
Truly Magical Mango Thai – Upon our first visit to Park Slope, my boyfriend and I asked a pedestrian walking by where she could recommend an excellent Thai restaurant. Right away, she highly recommended Mango Thai, a Thai fusion small restaurant.
The ambiance is cozy, with extreme attention to detail, like the tiny Origami roses made of straw wrappers that are fit into the tops of straws. They serve great cocktails, and the Thai iced tea has a great flavor without being overly sweet.
The golden puff pastries with chicken and potato were out of this world!
The Chicken Fried Rice and the Pineapple Curry were outstanding! The curry had a perfect balance of sweet and spiciness. We will Definitely go back soon! We have found a new favorite.
