This is one of the better restaurant on the nautical mile in freeport, one of my favorties! We recently had my sisters baby shower on the outside pier, the weather was perfect for september and we couldn't have asked for a nicer environment. We did passed ordeurves and a small buffet, no complaints here! The staff was very nice and attentive, a special thank you goes out to them for making my sisters day so special. Highly reccomended party place, in fact the second level was rented out for a wedding at the same time!

What a GREAT place ! We took the whole family out for a dinner this summer! Couldn't have picked a better atmosphere! The kids loved the the view of all the boats! The place is located at the head of the nautical mile with a wonderful view ! Very Kid friendly menu. Our waitress Rebecca was very kind and attentive to our needs. Prices were fair for the amount of food they gave you. I dont have one bad thing to say ! What a wonderful dining experience! After dinner we took a walk down the mile for some ice cream and some mini golf! We will def be back ! HIGHLY Reccommended!

Fantastic Food with a GREAT Atmosphere Very Friendly Staff! – E.B. Elliots on the Nautical Mile. The place is fantastic the food is fantastic and worth every penny! Don't be bogged down by other users unfavorable and personable comments. The staff was very friendly - our service was excellent! The food "New American" Inventive with lots of flavor! I would definitley be coming back ! The interior was very comfortable and I love dining on the water especially with a second story view down the canal. Thumbs up to EB Elliots.

Take out a 2nd mortgage – You don't need to worry about getting a table at E B Elliot's midweek. The smart and savvy diners have all gone down the street instead.

I found the prices were WAY out of line for what they gave.

Ten dollars for a bowl of soup?

Seven dollars for a glass of domestic beer. C'mon!

And there were NO mid-week specials offered, so EVERYTHING was full-priced and Over-priced for a Tuesday night.

At least throw me a house salad or a cup of soup with my dinner.

Nothing. Just a roll or two and a glass of water included.

There are a million seaford restaurants on L.I., and I'm not gonna get ripped off again just to stare out at a few humongous yachts that block out the view of the Woodcleft Canal.

Good thing I had a coupon or I would have been forced to wash dishes there.

EeeeeeeBbbbbbb Idiots!! – Nothing more than a formular pedestrian restaurant which tries to portray itself as a trendy seafood location. NOT!!

Fine restaurants don't have inexperienced high school students portraying themselves as wait staff and hostesses. I was not impressed by the menu that gave a limited amount of selection and was also insulted by how the price points were calculated to make sure they get their cover and the staff gets their guaranteed percentage for a gratuity.

As for the food--- I had the broiled seafood (bait plate) platter with small over cooked portions served on oversizised dishes as a deception for its lack of substance and value. My spouse and dinner mate had the sea food salad and had to literally fish for the protein.

To top it off when I questioned some of the vague charges on the cheque , I was told that it must be a computer error. Wasn't it bad enough that the food was mediocre and the service was sub par . Please-- computers do not make mistakes, the people who input information into them do. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try not to think that these charges were calculated to inflate the bill.

It frustrates me that these money mill restaurants can take the wind out of nice night out.

Good view, bad service – The hubby and I thought that we would try something local for our anniversary this year. We chose Elliot's because it was close to the chapel where we were married and neither of us felt like fighting the traffic into Manhattan. I picked it off of a Long Island site where it was a contender for "Most Romantic." We were seated next to the window overlooking the bay and that in intself was wonderful. However, we both should have known how the evening would go when we ordered a simple bottle of white chardonnay, and were told that they did not have it in stock - even though it was on the menu. The waitress forgot our garlic bread after being reminded twice that we were waiting for it. About the time that we started to look genuinely annoyed, the manager came over to ask if everything was okay. We didn't make a scene - honestly, I guess we didn't expect anything better from the place - but said we didn't want the bread any more since we were already finished with dinner. He removed it from bill and had the waitress bring it out anyway. Truthfully, this place might be kind of cool in the summer when it might be filled up and you're just looking for a casual night out. It had a "chain" feeling to it that was vaguely reminiscent of TGI Fridays. The hubby asked we when we went in if I still wanted to eat there, but again, it seemed silly to make a fuss about it at that point. It is NOT a date/anniversary/romantic spot. The food was nothing spectacular - the plates were very busy. I ordered the Chicken Elliot, which is their signature, and while the portion was extremely large, the salsa, cheese and red wine sauce did not go well together. We skipped dessert and would up at ColdStone instead - but we'll definitely deal with traffic next year and visit some of our old favorites in NYC. Again, for a local place, it probably isn't bad for a casual evening out with some friends, but not if you want something special.
