WHAT A NEAT PLACE – Here it is close to Christmas and I am short on money so I went to this place in Troy. First I went to a different place and was not real happy with the store or the kid that was there. He didn't seem to care about me as a customer. He was outside smoking when I arrived, and once I went in it seems like I was bothering him. Anyway, I looked around, or tried to. Itwas piled with stuff and hard to see. Lots of movies and things, just not to clean. I bought a couple movies an left. After I left I saw another place with the same neam across the street and went there. It wasn these guys. WOW what a difference. Nice place. Real nice dvd selection, all in order, I wished I would have waited, but bought more anyway, and games and all kinds of stuff. The place was nice and cleand and the owners were clean and nice. They were dressed in ties and the store looked like it should have been in the mall, but the prices we didn't. They even told me they did layaway, I wish I knew that before. I told them i would be back when I got me tax check. Real nice guys. I told them I was across the street and asked if they owend that and they said they didn't that people ask that all the time. I told them good. It was not like this, but they said they were a totally different store, they were really nice about them, that's the kind of people I want to deal with. Nice Place, I don't understand some of these other posts here. They must be talking about the other place with the similar name. Thanks.

This is What All The BUZZ IS ABOUT!! – Unlike most "Thrift Type Stores" this store is set like a Mall Type Store. Windows are dressed and CLEAN. Employees are in Logo Shirts with Ties. Carpets are vacuumed, lights are dusted, there is a flat screen television with CNN on it. There are lighted Jewelry Cases with glass you can actually see through. The jewelry is cleaned and polished. The diamonds, if flawed are told to you, if are of a better grade have been sent to a Gemologist for a grading. There are granite counters for transactions in the rear of the store.

The DVD movie selection is alphabetized and the CD collection is roughly by artist. There is lithography artwork on the walls, digital cameras, flat panel televisions, laptops and desk top computers - it's is like a mini department store in downtown Troy. All these items aren't always in stock, which is why one needs to keep checking back, or strike while the iron is hot (so to speak). But, that's the name of the game.

Granted all of these items are Previously Owned, however, these gentlemen handle their products as if they were tip top of the line. A visit is worth the money here. Impressed? Why wouldn't you be for the price. No shame here! On top of all of this, their eBay store is just as impressive, along with their Feedback. Am not too sure what all these other posts are about, but with over 2,000 feedback's and 100% Positive rating, you know these folks must be doing something right.

Beware of bad guys........... Here's what the AG's office has to say – Capital Cash forced by AG to pay restitution to clients Capital Cash, a pawn shop on Third Street, was ordered to pay $110,000 in restitution to consumers and $15,000 in penalties said Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. According to Cuomo, Gary Kiddney, was operating without the proper license, charging a greater interest rate than the law allows and did not provide customers with the required pawn ticket and entitled profits. Kiddney was in violation of several laws that apply to collateral loan broker businesses. "This company attempted to operate its business by circumventing the law and shorting customers," Cuomo said. "This settlement ensures that Capital Cash will operate within the guidelines of the law." His attorney, Trey Smith, said Kiddney was nothing but a retard The investigation, which was sparked by a complaint by a customer, found Kiddney in several violations of the law including: n Engaging in business as a collateral loan broker, pawn shop, without obtaining the proper license. n Failing to provide customers with a pawn ticket that states the article cannot be sold until it has remained in Capital Cash's possession for four months; if the article is sold privately, the ticket holder is entitled to profits; and that the customer can sell the ticket to a third party. n Charging an interest rate greater than allowed n Failing to hold items pledged by customers before selling. n Failing to provide customers with 30-day notice that their items will be sold. n Failing to register the company with the state comptroller. Under the agreement, within 30 days the company must provide Cuomo the contact information for all customers who paid service charges or fees in connection with the "buyback" program and the amount paid by each. It must pay the $110,000 and the $15,000 by Dec. 22. If Capital Cash fails to pay full restitution, costs and penalties a judge will order him to pay whatever he owes plus $50,000 and 9 percent annual interest.

worst lie's i've heard – These guys have no money anytime and are "always doing inventory"

They never want to buy anything i have, yet they will try to sell an old computer for uber bucks.

They wear ties and dress shirts to hide who they are. The other guys in some of the other stores are them selves and dont need to wear fancy ties, that make me way more comfortable than some tool in a get up.

by the way i would not be conserned with every other shop in town when you owe 125.000to the A.general

We are doing the RIGHT THING! – To set the record straight. Capital Cash Corporation WAS operating a "buyback" store when it was acquired from the previous owner as such. Keeping in line with the previous owners practices we operated the business as such. For the record, there are over 15 stores in the Capital Region that still operate as a buyback store. We would strongly suggest you address these stores to the Attorney General as they are operating illegally.

BE CAREFUL who you do business with. Once we realized the business practice we purchased was not within standards, we corrected this situation. We came to an agreement with the Attorney Generals office as we could not afford to take this to trial. Capital Cash Corporation has helped many folks over the years and we continue to with our Buy Sell Store.

As a Buy Sell Store Capital Cash purchases items from our customers as we always have. We offer amazing deals on many items. As times are tough, we understand and have brought back a couple different LAY-A-WAY programs. We offer FREE lay-a-way for your purchases of jewelry, electronics, tools, computers, laptops, and more!! If you want to "go green" we are your choice!

Capital Cash Corporation has the complete confidences of the local and state police agencies. As there are other "copy cats" out there using variations of our name, we encourage you to be careful and check around. Capital Cash Corporation is doing the correct thing and we hope you will understand. Our customers were totally offended once this story broke. Many wanted to help us and write letters, we thank them, however, as we have come to an agreement with the AG's office this is not necessary.

Word of mouth advertising has proven us successful and we hope we can be of assistance to you someday. Only YOU can be the judge. Not that we have any direct competition, but one of the store's we mentioned placed the article on here to discredit us. It has had no effect.

Thank you for your time in reading this.

See for yourself............... – Capital Cash forced by AG to pay restitution to clients

Capital Cash, a pawn shop on Third Street, was ordered to pay $110,000 in restitution to consumers and $15,000 in penalties said Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

"This settlement ensures that Capital Cash will operate within the guidelines of the law."

His attorney, Trey Smith, said Kiddney was nothing but a retard

The investigation, which was sparked by a complaint by a customer, found Kiddney in several violations of the law including:

n Engaging in business as a collateral loan broker, pawn shop, without obtaining the proper license.

n Failing to provide customers with a pawn ticket that states the article cannot be sold until it has remained in Capital Cash's possession for four months; if the article is sold privately, the ticket holder is entitled to profits; and that the customer can sell the ticket to a third party.

n Charging an interest rate greater than allowed

n Failing to hold items pledged by customers before selling.

n Failing to provide customers with 30-day notice that their items will be sold.

n Failing to register the company with the state comptroller.

THIS PLACE IS WEIRD. USED STUFF AT NEW PRICES. BAD ATTITUDES AND BELITTLEMENT I CAN GET AT HOME – i DONT KNOW WHAT THIS PLACE IS. I WENT IN THERE THINKING I WAS GONNA GET A DEAL. BOY WAS I WRONG. i ASKED FOR A CHEAP LITTLE USED RADIO AND BEFORE I KNOW IT THIS FANCY SALESMAN HAS GOT ME BUYING A HOME STEREO FOR $400.00. AND WHEN I ASKED IF I REALLY NEEDED ALL OF THIS HE WAS VERY BRISK WITH ME AND ACTED LIKE I WAS WASTING HIS TIME. WHAT HAPPENED TO GOOD OLD FASHIONED SERVICE?

What a great experience! – I don't know where to begin. Guess I could start with a comment about the other review, sounds like he went to a totally different place. I got some of the same answers he did, that these guys are not a pawnshop, however offer a program very similar. The place was immaculate and I really felt my items would be safe there. They are tough though. They won't take any electronics that are older than 2 years old, makes sense I guess, I wouldn't want to purchase something older than that for myself.

Anyway, the gentlemen all had shirts & ties on, very pleasant and extremely knowledgable. I took in a watch because I needed.... well nevertheless, I wanted X dollars, thinking I wouldn't get much anyway and they told me I could have almost double what I thought! Wow, was I suprised. I took them up on their Buyback Program and was very pleased.

Oh, one other thing, I was having a problem getting there on the Saturday my item was up, they told me not to worry because they offer a free grace day and I could come in on Sunday and get it. Imagine that they are open 7 days a week. Guys, you've got a great thing going there, how 'bout opening something up closer to Amsterdam! Thanks. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS. SEE FOR YOURSELF. Actually, all you have to do is call and you can see how professional they are by their answering system.

Nice, real nice, PETER

YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!! THESE GUYS ARE RIDICULOUS!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! – WHAT A JOKE !! I FIND THESE GUYS ON THE INTERNET UNDER PAWN SHOP, I CALLED AND THE GUY TOLD ME TO COME DOWN. I GET THERE AFTER DRIVING FOR AN HOUR AND THE FIRST THING THEY TELL ME IS THEY'RE NOT A PAWNSHOP. SO I SAY I CAN SEE THAT YOURE NOT A PAWNSHOP; BUT PLEASE, PRAY TELL, WHAT ARE YOU... SO THIS YOUNG KID TELLS ME THEY ARE A BUY BACK STORE, WHICH IS NONSENSE. THEN THEY GO ON TO SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN MY TV BECAUSE ITS OLDER THAN A 2005 THEN, ON TOP OF THAT, TO ADD FURTHER INSULT THEY OFFER ME $1.50 A GRAM FOR MY 14K GOLD NECKLACE, BECAUSE ANY TRANSACTION OVER $100.00 REQUIRES THE BOSSES APPROVAL. SO THE KID SAYS IF YOU DONT LIKE IT I SHOULD GO TO THE OTHER PAWN SHOP AROUND THE CORNER. SO I DID, WHERE I WAS TREATED FAIRLY AND GOT THE HELP THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR SO IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A LOAN DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO SEE THESE GUYS. THEY ARE NOT HERE TO HELP YOU. ON THE OTHER HAND THE ORIGINAL GUYS ON 4TH STREET, NOW THEY ARE THE GUYS WHO WILL WORK FOR YOU. THEY PAID ME $350 FOR MY TV AND MY NECKLACE
