Your time is not valued, therefore your health is not valued – I just FIRED Dr Yee as my physician last Wednesday based on her continual failure to keep reasonable appointment times. After 2 1/2 years of "waiting" I finally had enough! (And by "waiting", I do mean HOURS, not minutes, of waiting for the doctor to tend to me or my kids!) When my doctor's tardiness is a cause of stress to me, it's time to find a new doctor. When my doctor doesn't care enough about my health & makes me wait two hours for my appointment, that I not only showed up to on time but early no less, it's time to find a new doctor. When my doctor asks me to sign a form that says I'll be on time or pay a fee, but she can't do the same, it's time to find a new doctor. Happily, my previous PCP is on my new company's insurance, so it took all of 24 hours to replace Dr Yee, but new patients BEWARE: Dr Yee will take the time to treat you but at the expense of her other patients & then at your own expense. Dr Yee does not adjust her booking schedule to accommodate the time she spends with patients; she just makes them all wait & wait & wait. For those willing to wait, more power to you! But as a single, working mother of teens, my time is precious & there are better doctors out there who will spend the same amount of time with you as she does & not make you wait HOURS on end! My final advice ... take the time to interview your doctor before you invest a couple of years into them. If they can't keep the first appointment with you, run! They're not the doctor for you!
It was great for a while they they got busy – I have been going to Dr Yee for over two years now. Until recent there usually wasn't a big wait and everyone was usually friendly. The last few times I've been to see her I've had an appointment and had arrived on time or before. I've had to sit in the waiting room for almost an hour. I left today after 45 minutes. I asked how much longer and they said it could be another 45 minutes. It's too bad. I asked for a copy of my medical records and now I have to search for a new doctor.
Best doctors office in the city – I have had the worst experience with doctors in this city. They always seem busy and in a rush...plus most of them are very unorganized. Johnston and Yee eased all my fears. I didn't have to wait...and the Dr. Johnston spent a great amount of time with me. I left the place feeling at ease and fully knowing what was going on with my body. He even called another doctor to make sure that they got me in ASAP...something I have never seen someone do before. I drive all the way across town just to go to Dr. Johnston...and I would recommend you do the same.
FRONT STAFF JUNK – Dr.Johnston was amazing... nice genuine guy who really showed he cared. I gave the practice only 3 stars cause the front staff was !@#$ HORRIBLE, rude, unspleasant. I will necer go there again cause its just not worth it to deal with people like that.!!! Sorry Dr.J your front end is junk!
Left in pain,, – I visited Dr. Yee with a chronic pain condition as yet undiagnosed; At the time, It was suspected to be a muscle strain or sciatic nerve injury. She prescribed a pain medication and soma, a muscle relaxer. neither really relieved the pain completely but the soma helped the most - it allowed me to sleep despite the pain. Dr. Yee instructed me to take 2 at night if necessary and 1 during the day. The bottle however, read that I should take 1 each time. Well, seeing as how I wanted to sleep I took 2 at night and eventually, I ran out of soma. I still had the pain medicine, but it was ineffective and made me sick. I contacted my pharmacist who stated it was too soon to refill the prescription I had, because the instruction on the bottle told me to take them slower than the doctor verbally instructed me I was allowed. Contacting the doctors office, I asked for the doctor to call me back. Because the issue was complicated, I stated I simply had a question about the medicine. (specifically dosage levels and if she can clarify with the pharmacy her instructions) At 6:00pm the doctor's NURSE called me, and said that she was calling me about a question on the medicine not about refilling. She would not help me with that at all, I would have to make an appointment.. unfortunately -- for me -- it was a friday. at 6 pm. Guess you cant have an appointment now can you? Not for days. Days of not sleeping. Crying in bed at night. Being carried around the house because my knees cant support the slightest pressure. Now my Pediatrician cant even write me a prescription, because the doctor's previous record says I cant take the medicine yet.......
So I guess I make an appointment to go down and tell her off huh? And to ask her who her lawyer is?
Being in chronic pain isn't a laughing matter. It's not something one of these doctors would like to wait over the weekend for relief either.

Excellent Bedside Manner – It is rare to find a doctor these days with the bedside manner of Dr. Johnston. On every visit he makes me feel that he has a genuine concern for my health and well being. I have been a patient of Dr. Johnston's since he started his practice in Las Vegas and I feel privlaged to have such a wonderful doctor. Dr. Johnston is a great asset to Las Vegas and I can say the same for Dr. Yee as well. I highly recommend Johnston & Yee Family Medicine.
