We were impressed... – We did a lot of research before choosing a company and many the painters we contacted either didn't have worker's comp. insurance, or said they would email a quote, but never did :( James and his crew were so professional, had all their documents, licenses and referrals (all glowing recommendations) right on hand. He gave us a quote on the spot, followed up with an email the next day. The work done was excellent. Our search is over for a great reliable painter. We highly recommend this company!
best – Interior painting of 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, office, and two hallways - approximately 1700 Sq Ft
We couldn't be happier with the work done.
James responded promptly to our request for an estimate, and provided a quote on the spot. We were also having our wood floors refinished and James accomodated the coordination of schedules with the flooring contractor.
The painting crew was very professional. They carefully covered the newly finished hardwood floors and masked all non-painted surfaces.
The quality of the work is outstanding. The crew arrived each day on-time, and cleaned up their work area before they left.
I will be using House Painting, Inc. again for the exterior work next.
These guys are great, and I highly recommend them.

Plastering Siding Wallpaper Removal Pressure Washing Stucco
Approximate Cost: $7,400.00
Home Build Year: 1956
Description Of Work:
Our ranch style house was built in the early ’50’s and is 3,000 square feet. It is stucco with wood siding and brick in the front. The house was patched where needed, pressure washed and the exterior was painted. We also had 3 sets of French doors painted on the exterior. In the interior…the entry, living room and one of the bathrooms was painted. We had 2 sets of French doors painted as well.
There are painters and there are craftsmen who paint. James Lee and his crew are the craftsmen who paint. My husband and I are thrilled with the results of our job. We have lived in our house for 24 years, had it painted several times since, and this is undoubtedly the best that it has ever looked. James told me that our house would be the best looking on the street and he was right. The care with which his painters treated our house, its surroundings and our belongings was exceptional. The exterior crew was very thorough…each plant surrounding the house was individually wrapped to for protection. The guys dug a small trench around the house to make sure that the paint went below the level of the dirt. Previous painters had just painted around the problem, but not James’ crew. The old frame was removed from inside the wall, the large hole was patched and the stucco repaired so that now, you cannot tell that there was ever anything there. There were a couple of bricks near the driveway that had been knocked loose and when I came home one day they had been repaired. The attention to detail is very much appreciated…this company knows how to please their clients. When the exterior work was finished and it was time to switch to painting the interior, I was sorry to see the outside crew leave. The next workday, the interior crew arrived on time and immediately proceeded to take great care in moving our items, covering and masking everything. They were just as nice and professional as the exterior crew. Like the exterior crew, they took the time to unscrew and remove everything from the walls…(unlike most painters that we’ve experienced, who tend to paint around them). Late one afternoon after painting one wall in the living room, we realized that the color was wrong. The guys didn’t think a thing of it, stopped painting the walls, finished up with some other work and came back the next day with the new paint selection. Everything was done cheerfully and exactly as we wanted. Our house looks great…inside and out!! James is a real professional and his estimate was reasonable. His crews were professional, polite and cleaned up after each workday. My husband and I are so happy that we’ve finally found a really excellent painting contractor. James definitely has another customer for life and we have already begun recommending him to our friends. I only have good things to say about our experience with House Painting Inc.
Response to previous, misinformed review – Hi, this is James, the contractor involved in the above customer's statement. I just want to clarify the context of the situation. The customer had a limited time frame after closing the escrow and hired us to finish the painting job within 3-4 days before moving in. However, when our company arrived, the house was not ready to be painted (i.e. the baseboard, hardwood floors, and molding should have already been attached). If we went ahead with painting without waiting for the carpentry work, we would have to paint twice, which would be additional charges that we ourselves would incur, not the customer. Our painters were the only ones supposed to be in the house to quickly finish the job on time, but we found the carpenter/handyman still working, and was told the job would take half the day. We decided to eat and then come back when it was finished, but the work was still not done. We called the customer to explain that it was impossible to start our job without a finished interior, and she arrived and became upset after listening to the handyman without giving us a chance to explain. We were forced to cancel the job even after purchasing paint and materials which was never paid for, and cannot be used for other jobs.
Likewise, we were recommended to take on this job by the customer's realtor, who we've worked with on numerous jobs. We are professionals with high standards, and strive hard to provide the best finished work, which require adequate preparation. Our ethics have carried us through for the last 30 years.
Although it did not work out, we were respectful and did not yell at the customer, who we knew was pregnant at the time. We would not jeopardize our relationship and future work with the realtor by arguing with the customr. I personally apologize that our customer could not be satisfied, which I realize will not always be possible.
James Lee and his crew are rude, arrogant, and will drag out a job if allowed---STEER CLEAR – Although Mr. Lee's prices were high, we were willing to try his service based on a recommendation---BIG MISTAKE---his crew came over, had numerous reasons why they could not start work right away, took breakfast and lunch within an hour of arrival and thenn, when we brought the issues to Mr. Lee's attention, he said that he's used to working on million dollar homes and basically yelled at me until another contractor asked him to leave---not sure if he was in his right mindor not but he is a time bomb and perhaps milliionaires can afford to deal with him but all others should save their money and get a respectable painter
