BEST FOOD EVER! – Best Mexican Food Ever! Best drinks ever! You have to wait a long time to get in but it is worth it. The main dining room is a little noisy but still a really fun time overall.

good mxican food / crappy weak drinks – I will say the food is good but if you want drinks avoid this not so happy hr. I always say "chinese and mexican resturants should always make a strong drink.".. this one does not even if you order a top shelf style maggie. its loud but if you are in the mood thats ok. our service was good, food good, drinks... not so good. and street parking(metered) or valet... i hate valet

If you want a Good Old Mexican Restaurant - this is it. – Loved this place. Ma n Pa type old style Mexican Restaurant - you know the kind of place we use to have out here ... before all the 'chains' took over. The bar is bustling and noisy has a low ceiling but fun. Restaurant is way quieter. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

Just what Tarzana needed – 2 good reasons why Sol Y Luna's always packed:

1. Exceptional food - The chips are always fresh. The Consome de Pollo is delicious with an abundance of chicken. The home-made corn tortillas taste good enough to be eaten by themselves.

2. Decor such as authentic Mexican crafts, trailing vines, and wall murals adorn the interior creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

In addition to the above, the staff always manage to be friendly and attentive to us no matter how busy they are!

RUDE MANAGER WANNA BE WORKS HERE-hope not 4 long – BAD/RUDE MANAGER

this is for the LITTLE pipsqueek ahole child of a manager on duty this night. HOW DARE YOU HARASS my 87 year old Dad over $1.50 yes, I said 1 dollar and 50 cents because he was charged for a special tequila he did NOT ORDER! You little f-in big man wanna be! YOU had the nerve to harass him trying to make him say he ordered it???

YOU actually said to him, "are you sure you didn't say it?" "i see you had a wine and a coke"! ARE YOU NUTS??? YOU FREAK! When I told you, You must be kidding, OMG you kept on harassing, what, did you fail detective school? Did u get a lie detector for xmas and needed to try it out??? My Dad is a WW2 pilot that was shot down and spent 2 years in a German POW camp. He is an honest man, You, wimpy manager, are a piece of work, HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE MANAGED TO STILL BE HERE, AND PAY YOUR WAGES YOU CLOWN! YOU NEED MANNERS, NOT a management job.

Bad Experience – I went for my childs birthday and it was awful, they messed up our order, forgot it was her birthday and dropped off desert without singing, check was incorrect, waiter was rude. I wrote a letter to the restaurant and they never replied, when I called to see if they got it they said they did... that was it, not even an apology. I eat out alot and love restaurants, I was so insulted by the way I was treated and the bill was about $90. It was unbelievably bad, probably my worst dining experience ever. Sierras food is not as good but the service and price far exceeds Sol y Luna, actually any other restaurant exceeds their service.

Tarzana's Sunny Secret – Our office located right across the street, so we go here often for a late lunch or really late dinner. The waitresses are nice, and their service is decent. But the food is the winner here. Burritos, tacos and more. Everything I've had here is good. The drinks are OK too, but it's the hearty beef and chicken dishes that get the job done. Try any of the appetizers and make sure you get some guacamole.
