good mexican food – this was my favorite restaurant when it was in old town. once it moved to the grossmont center, the food became a little too commercial. it used to be really authentic. the food is still good though and the chips and salsa and my favorite. also the drinks are really yummy. perfect for birthdays, groups, and happy hour!
Best Mexican Food in San Diego – I've experienced a lot of different Mexican Restaurants in my life, even in Mexico. Authentically, Casa De Pico has to be one of my best experiences with customer service and great food. The mood is set for a wonderful date or dinner with a group of friends. The food is amazing!! Nothing else to say about that. I will continue my adventure in finding great mexican food, however, if I were to stop with Casa De Pico, I'd be satisfied.
Huge margaritas – I used to love going to this place when it was in Old Town. Although it's now in Grossmont Center, I still enjoy going. I think the Old Town ambience added to this restaurant so I was slightly disappointed when it moved. Other than that, the food is excellent, the service is excellent, and it's reasonably priced. I'm a little disappointed that they're serving burgers now because it takes away from the authenticity of a mexican restaurant.
fun place for food and drinks – This place is always busy so be prepared. The margaritas are big. The food is typical mexican restaurant stuff. The chips are pretty good- they make their own tortillas. The servers are nice. They have a patio area and a big bar area, and at night they have a group of musicians that go around to each table and sing a song if you want. It's a fun place. Usually crowded and noisy. It's good for large parties. We came here with a group of 12 and they had no problem finding a place to seat us.
Editorial Review – The original hub of Old Town's Mexican restaurant scene relocated inland to Grossmont Center, literally.
