Fast service, good price – Have used them twice with great results. Fixing frames, replacing temples, etc.
Opticians and the like should be doing this, but they want to force us to buy new frames and lenses. New lenses since they do not fit old lenses to new frames.
Vintage repair – I sent two pair of vintage glasses to Pro-Mec for repair from Wisconsin. They did an expert repair, and super fast turn-around.Thanks guys,AAAA++++
Go here only if you want your lenses damaged. – I went to this place to get new frames put on my existing lenses only because my eye doctor could not do it due to some tool that was needed. They were able to replace the frame in a couple of hours which was great, but when I examined the lenses I noticed that there were scratches on the outside corners of both lenses. I take excellent care of my glasses and always put them in their case when not in use. They were not scratched before I took them to Pro-mec. The woman at the counter took the glasses and said she couldn't see any scratches. She was argumentative and rude. I was very dissapointed that not only did they damage my property due to their carelessness, they wouldn't even own up to it. Upon closer inspection when I got home, I noticed that the lenses weren't even cleaned before the new frame was installed. I would never recommend this lazy, careless, repair place to anyone
Great people and service – The frame of my glasses separated near the nose bridge and I thought they were done. My optometrist couldn't help since that model wasn't made any longer. They referred me to Pro-Mec. Okay, so, if they can be fixed at all, I'll drop them off and pick them up in a week or so. What a surprise when the Pro-Mec people said I could have them back that very afternoon! And, when I picked them up, I couldn't even see where the repair was! That was a couple of months ago and the glasses are still intact. My wife's fashion sunglasses broke at the temple hinge a week ago and we took them in and, again, a perfect repair. These were both $400 pairs so replacing them would have been a hardship. Fixing glasses is a small thing, I suppose, but this was a great relief to find such craftsmen.
It's great to see people who do such great work.
