no sauce – I ordered 3 speghetti dinners and 1 raviolli cost me 32.00 and they must have been out of sauce, plenty of pasta no!!!!!!!! sauce, how sad and dissappointing the sauce in the middle of my dinner wasnt enough too cover the speg. on any of them I suggest you at the least increase the sauce at least 3 more scoops.BOOO to the Bowman Field Bearnos
(Paraphrasing the Beach Boys) Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiierkno's! – This is one of the safest locations in the Louisville area. The premises is patrolled by Officer Earl Hindman, Jr., who stops by regularly to fill up on heavily discounted fare. He takes advantage of Fritz Dirbur, with the promise of getting him out of future speeding citations. And God forbid, if someone does decide to rob the joint while Officer Hindman, Jr. is there, he is of little or no use at this point. His hands are full with pizza and fizz, and he rarely carries a firearm. Instead, he reserves this space in his holster to hold submarine godzillas or steak hoagies.
In the area of customer service, Onthe Fly is the man you want to see. If your order has been made wrong, he will quickly make another order, but chances are, it will be no different than the previous mistake. But at least he will do so in a timely fashion. And his brother, Anthony Chalk, will regularly frequent the premise, looking to mooch off his sibling. But to anyone that will listen, he will offer a selection in an upcoming horse race. And he prefers that the horse is no better than even odds, as this provides him with phony confidence and a lousy return on investment.
As an experienced delivery driver, I'd recommend to other drivers not to eat spaghetti while on the road. The occasional pizza or sub sandwich is okay, but don't eat out of the box at a stop light as other drivers will think you are scarfing down part of a customer's order. And it is too hard to eat with a fork while looking for addresses. If you must use a utensil while driving, I've come to realize that a spoon is much safer. Also, to watch my weight after some serious chomping, I prefer to wash my dinner down with some diet fizz.
A RUDE, DISCOURTEOUS SUPERVISOR RUINED AN EVENING OUT WITH MY FAMILY – This is my first review. My wife, son, daughter-in-law and myself ate at this location Friday 3/9/07. I had purchased a Big Deals coupon from WHAS ($50 coupon for $25) and when I presented it to our waitress (who had done a very good job) to pay the $30 check, she called on her supervisor to find out how she should handle the transaction. Her supervisor (who obviously was having a bad day) told me in no uncertain terms, that not only would I not get any change or credit for the remaining $15 on the coupon, BUT also the balance could not be used toward the tip. I was disappointed that I could not get another coupon for the $15 credit I was due, but the attitude of this supervisor has persuaded me that Bearno's does not want nor need my future business. A fun evening out with my family, was ruined by this rude, unhappy supervisor.
lifer – as a veteran I have to say if you want good bearno's .... go to bowman field .... they can afford to give you a good pie ..... and it's the only store with quality management ... the highlands store had potential, but not everything works out the way it should
No frills added: just really good pies and pasta at this chain pizza parlor. – The Scene
The family-friendly environment is relaxed and comfortable with large booths and sports TV. A few posters of Italian food adorn the walls, but people come here for the pizza, not the pizazz.
Salads, sandwiches and traditional Italian entrees make up most of the menu, but Chicago-style pizza is king. Each pie is a tasty combination of thin crust, thick sauce, generous toppings and lots of cheese. Vegetable pizzas are especially good, with big chunks of peppers, onions and mushrooms in every bite. "Mama Bearno's Special," loaded with sausage, pepperoni, fresh veggies and mozzarella cheese, has a near-cult following. Pasta can be hit or miss, but the spaghetti with marinara sauce and huge meatballs is always a pleaser.
The Best – Bearno's Pizza Bowman Field has the very best managers, workers, and pizza on the planet. The food was almost as amazing as the wonderful people that work there.
whenever I am staying in that end of town and want a great pizza delivered I call Bearnos.I am always satisfied with the delivery and great taste of the all american pizza they deliver it hot and there is hardly anything left over, if there is it is snacked on the next day!!
Not the same – Bearno's pizza's quality has dropped significantly since they've franchised out. For a good pie, go to Wick's, Clifton's, Za's, or Impellizzeri's. Bearno's sandwiches are still good though
Munch Rules – I prefer Munch to make my pie.He is the czar of the oven-a masterful chef. He takes the best ingredients available and turns them into a masterful entree. When you visit Bearno's, ask for Munch!
Haus – Just good pizza. That's all I want and they have it.
